That hasn't been happening so far. And I agree that IDs and moderation would help curb it, but we don't have that option on 4chan right now. We haven't been able to rely on the staff for a long time now. And yet many people have learned how to thrive despite that. You can hope for something better, but until that day comes 4chan is our home because that's where our community is. This just wasn't the opportunity to change things that many thought it would be, the site wasn't down for long enough for people to settle in at 8moe and for the staff here to stabilize things and start implementing QoL changes

Again, those guys are annoying but what are they doing to make the thread
unusable? What are they posting that you couldn't ever just learn to ignore?
>the latter was also making shit up against various people like the anon who's generally in charge of the birthday cards
I am that Anon with access to the birthday card Twitter account. I saw those posts and, outside of when I believe that there's something to gain by asking him to explain himself, I just ignored them and scrolled past. I've dealt with a lot during my time on 4chan, which I haven't been there as long as some others, but still for a pretty long time. Always trying to stand out and do things for whatever thread your in, it puts a target on your back. What always helps me is to just focus on the positive things that your work brings to the community: Making people laugh or smile, providing a useful and convenient tool, keeping your community informed and up to date about what's going on. I hope you can learn to do the same, because the thread wouldn't be what it is without you and without the rest of the people still holed up here.
I wanted better for us too, a place where people aren't constantly stepping on eggshells to evade the staff or the schizos, or having to memory hole half of the posts in the thread for hours at a time, but I want that for all of us. For the Anons and the chuubas. And this just didn't shape up as the opportunity to make that happen. But I do hope that whenever it does happen, that our new home will be some place like this
