No games, no reactslop, no karaoke, just me and her, living in the moment, pure zatsu. You cannot tell me there isn't some sort of emotional connection here. Having some cute girl with random background noise with no interaction is one thing, spending hours directly communicating with said girl is another. No one would directly interact with a girl this long without some form of parasocial connection naturally forming between the two. I know this. SHE knows this. She makes pure zatsu streams EXPECTING people to feel like this, otherwise no one would watch. And now she just said she wanted to do a 2 hour Southern history stream. Do you REALLY think anyone would come to some zoomer's powerpoint presentation on Southern history if they didn't have any romantic attraction to her? You're out of your fucking mind. Any Vtuber who genuinely tries to fight against "parasocialism" (ex: Finana, and a bunch of Prism Project girls) doesn't understand the culture, doesn't know how to attract viewers, and is doomed to failure.

So yes, I CAN tell you that she could, in fact, not have an emotional connection with you and is just manipulating you. I am not saying this out of pure speculation that, in theory, a woman "could be just lying to get money", I am saying this because we KNOW people can and will do such a thing, women in particular being more likely to exhibit that behaviour. Do you also think that the prostitutes who see the same clients (plural) every day, for years on end, have an emotional connection with them? You have a problem and are blinded by your emotions, get some help anon.

It can be used to note one side of something (Think paraplegia, literally translate to "Half Stricken" from the Greek. Or parallel) Other ways it can be used is denoting something as abnormal (a lot of medical conditions) or something resembling something (Like the word paramilitary). Reading the original Parasocial paper, it's really using it to denote the first definition, with elements of the 3rd one. All also note that Para has a Latin root, which means to shield something. Think words like Parasol, or Parachute.
