Wait time for models Anonymous 05/10/2025 (Sat) 08:24:23 Id: 93adc2 No. 248957 >>248965>>249153>>249215
I saw this post and was wondering how do you think is the maximum time to wait for progress on a model
>>248957 (OP) Some artists will be more busy than others, there's really no problem with this, but it needs to be communicated beforehand. I've commissioned stuff before myself and they always are pretty open about this, like "I'm busy with other work for the next couple of months but I can try to get this to you in July" etc, if they just took the money and never gave any kind of expected timeframe or progress updates then I don't have a lot of sympathy for them.
>>248965 I see, thanks for the input
>>248957 (OP) idk, but accepting full down payment up front and not doing any work on it for 6+ months AND not issuing "refunds" is retarded. like this bitch really wants $500 to do nothing for half a year? no services rendered? no product? then you did nothing, no pay. and trying to insert a guilt tripping sob story because you were retarded with money to cancel them is manipulative as hell.
>>249215 I feel like there is a definite issue of entitlement with a lot of artists in the vtubing sphere. Not all of them obviously, there are a lot of really lovely and professional people out there who are great to work with, but some of them really do treat clients in a way that just wouldn't fly in any other field. I've done a lot of contract work myself and never in a million years would treat clients this way. I get that a lot of them probably just want to draw and don't like having to deal with the business aspects of this stuff, but it's part of the job. Also just from a purely pragmatic point of view taking payment in full up front and then delivering nothing until after the Paypal dispute window closes is sketchy as hell, any client would be right to be wary in that kind of situation since they're liable to get screwed themselves if they continue waiting around.
>>249230 >I feel like there is a definite issue of entitlement with a lot of artists in the vtubing sphere. absolutely, and they get defended almost no matter what by hordes of vtubers/artists/riggers. they get away with a lot of bullshit just because the industry depends on them to function and so people afraid to hold them accountable. also TwitchJuliet here is apparently a rebrand of NeediVT, who is a known scummy manipulator and had a long list of callout posts a couple months back.
>>249215 Hello Aria, how tight is it?
