Beebs aside, in general, the answer is always some variant of "it's better than the alternatives". But I've always thought that that's a bullshit answer, it's more a combination of sunk cost and that if they tried somewhere else they wouldn't be able to regroup. Because there are alternatives out, not even counting this site, with less overly-controlling mods, more features, and still preserving anonymity, but no one wants to even try because the reality is most of them don't wnat to have to actually DO anything unless forced to. They would rather complain about the problem then try to fix the problem.
