To prevent other people from skipping songs in KaraFun, you must manage their permissions through the Remote Control feature
. As the host, you have full control and can limit what guests can do, such as skipping songs or reordering the queue.
Here is how to set up KaraFun's remote control permissions:
1. Enable the Remote Control
First, you must be using the KaraFun app on a desktop computer or another primary device.
On the main screen, click the remote control icon in the top bar.
Check the box to "Activate remote control."
A QR code and a web address will appear on the screen for your guests to connect.
2. Access the Permissions settings
Click the "Permissions" tab on the remote control window to view the different user settings.
You will see a list of actions your guests can take.
3. Disable song-skipping
Go through the list of permissions and find any options related to playback control.
Make sure to uncheck the permission that allows guests to manage the queue or control playback. Disabling the following options will prevent guests from skipping songs:
Manage the queue
Control playback (play, pause, next)
Once the relevant permissions are disabled, guests will only be able to add songs to the queue, but they will not be able to skip any song that is currently playing or waiting in line
