I know Airi played retro games and had a collab with Amiya as well. Does she still play retro games? Airi is one of our gals that streams at a bad time for me, though this is most of them. EU time and Phase rarely mix, especially now since I used to exclusively work nightshift for three years and now work a regular one, meaning everyone's streaming deep into the night from my POV.
>the characters would slow down, like it was slow motion. Airi thought that was a glitch of emulation but she didn't realize that was perfect emulation because the SNES used to do that in certain parts of the game. And it looks fucking cool, it's not an error at all. I think the same happened in the other game she tried, Donkey Kong Country.
Yup, this is legit. It happened in SNES and also on NES and Game Boy. Speaking from experience. I only owned three consoles - a bootleg Atari 2600 from Hong Kong (IIRC) that has a shitload of built-in games, and that was a super common thing, you could buy them anywhere in the early 90s. The second was my Game Boy, the grey brick. I had a lot of games for it. The third was a NES top loader I got for free in the early 2000s alongside a few games.
However, there was an "arcade" but that's not the right word. In the mid and late 90s a guy in my town opened shop and had a room with TVs and Sega Genesis, SNES and shortly after Playstation. You'd go there and pay per hour and just play whatever game he had and you wanted. Great times, it was always full of us kids & teens. I sucked balls at games then and I still do now.
