While we wait for Shiina, share in my happiness. A few days ago I set out to collect music and by sheer accident I found a song I've been searching for some 20 years or so. This was very unexpected and pleasant. However, something has always eluded me due to obscurity and the chances and efforts of finding it again have been fruitless and minuscule. Back in the early days of 4chan in a very brief moment in time of roughly 2005 - 2007 there was a bunch of guys (with whom I had no contact) who made weird meme noise music for the most part. Loli Ripe, ISOpussy and DJ Clonepa. This was at the margin of my interest because I do not like that kind of music. However, there were a few tracks that they made and that I really liked, in particular ISOpussy's "Patrick Swayzee Dirty Dancing" and my holy grail - DJ Clonepa's "Ontological Paradox," which I find to be very relaxing and happy. It has never failed to put me in a great mood.
I lost both of these tracks sometime around 2012 during a move. I had them on CD as mp3's. Both songs were released on the guys' Myspace accounts. Out of these two guys I have only seen DJ Clonepa, now just Clonepa, being an existing entity. His music is wholly different now as well, but he seems mostly absent from the Internet and that makes sense given his presumed age, he's probably a normal adult by now unlike me. I even found his twatter but the last time he was on was back in late July. Leaving that as my backup (contacting him directly and hoping for the best) I put in a MIGHTY EFFORT in locating his obscure song. I say obscure because it's obscure even by the standards of this niche short lived scene. DJ Clonepa, Loli Ripe and ISOpussy collaborated often and released a few albums. However, "Ontological Paradox" and "Patrick Swayzee" were never "officially" released. Paradox in particular was only ever on Clonepa's Myspace for a month or so, I guess he regarded it as a failure or bad. If he only knew I have longed for that song so much for so long.
I exhausted every possible resource, most notably excellent Russian sites. I found "Swayze" on one Russian site. Yesterday - an almost completely dead torrent which included "Ontological Paradox." It was a big fellow with all of Clonepa's releases, including his new music. It had one (1) seeder. And somehow, by the grace and glory of Raptor Jesus I managed to grab the song. It seeded at precisely 19kbps and the transfer died on me many times. But it worked.
Gentlemen, Femanons, enjoy. Or don't. I doubt anyone is interested. But I wanted to share a little victory. Both songs are from 2007 and go beyond nostalgia for me. I genuinely like them.
