The problem with YT and effectively all other American tech companies is that they've been allowed to and actively pursue the creation of monopolies with zero user protection (data, privacy) and total monetization. As America becomes poorer and poorer it's getting increasingly difficult to finance something like YT. The obvious solution to that is to create a deeper problem by pushing for cheaper and cheaper slop with no meaning or purpose (AI) while simultaneously trying to bully people into paying for content OR doxxing themselves to the platform, which means they get to sell your data.
Now, on top of all that there's another much deeper issue that I spoke of a few times - technology and the Internet and functionally over as far as development is concerned. Smartphones? Solved. Streaming? Solved. Ideal setup? Desktops and/or laptops. The tech industry as a whole ranging from Apple to Meta to Google simply has nothing to do anymore and that means they will inevitably start seeing declining revenue and no growth whatsoever. All of these big tech companies are now effectively zombie companies, but this has yet to dawn on the investors and the CEO's, since it's something they're horrified of. Remember Apple and their VR nonsense? It failed beautifully because as stated the desktop/laptop/smartphone combo makes any other "solution" a mere gimmick, a grift, and an inevitable failure - because technology has been solved. Here's an older example of a grift. Remember when Microsoft pushed for trashing your "old" PC's because their newest spyware I mean Windows was "incompatible" and you needed a whole new setup? That was a beautiful example of a grift, a collusion between Intel/others and Microsoft to make everyone buy useless shit and trash their perfectly functional PC's. This was the digital version of Obama's "Cash For Clunkers" thing. Meanwhile, in the real world, Linux will work flawlessly on an old Core 2 Duo CPU machine from 2010 (I personally vouch for this.) Point is the WHOLE tech industry is now trying to stay a massive thing, ever expanding, ever bringing in revenue and "innovating" but innovation is done, over, in the same way carriage building or breeding horses for fieldwork or as carriage horses has been solved. The final form has been achieved, all is known, there is no room for anything except trying to squeeze water from a rock and bleed the users dry. To do this the illusion of progress and innovation must continue, and thus YT and all other crap keeps changing for the worse. It's these corpos desperately trying to remain huge behemoths. It will not work.
AI as a whole is a collosal bubble and the ultimate grift, the largest one in human history. When that fucker pops, and it will, it may bring the whole of the US to its knees. The utter financial ruin is beyond my ability to conceive. It will be nothing short of a total disaster.
Now, on Indians - as much as I loathe these worthless people what Trumpy did is one of the dumbest moves in geopolitics. focusing purely on India and not the milliard other fuckups, the simple fact is India is a huge, gigantic pile of immovable shit. There is so, so many of them that the sheer weight of that market eclipses everyone else at this point since India is still in the process of enriching itself (meaning, their purchasing power will rise.) India is the only such market left on earth and Modi knows it. You don't have to be smart to see this. This is why India has trade deals with everyone, their goal is simple - entrench yourself with all the big guys, diversify your supply chains and just play all sides. It's a perfect position. It's almost an ideal position. Everyone is incentivized to do business with them because of that (and their gigantic market.) Now, Trumpy managed to normalize Sino-Indian relations and handed Xi a colossal win on top of making Modi seem like a wise statesman to Indians. India already has extensive economic and military ties with the EU so I'll skip that.
Basically, only America lost. For no reason. Oh, and to cap it off - the reason jeets are everywhere is because behind the scenes states make deals the public doesn't know about, and India made deals to export superfluous people to other countries in exchange for trade deals etc. While you American may rightfully rejoice about getting rid of jeet plague, longterm this is just another disasterful and shortsighted decision. I don't know how much you follow shit but the whole world is shaking hands on every side and deals are being made between basically fucking everyone.
