BG3 is not a game you can really be "evil" in tbf
A lot of the "evil" options are pure greed and murderhobo shit, which is just "chaotic," not "evil."
BG3 is an extremely heavy-handed railroaded experience that isn't a finished product if you want an actual "evil" experience. There isn't enough content to make up for that you lose, especially in companions (but also in levelling xp and magic items).

I always get bored of it after
getting to the Hag on new playthroughs, I did one full run with friends in MP and haven't had the drive to do another. A lot of the encounters are staged with
one correct answer to them, and on top of that a massive amount of the game is just "savescum dicerolls on skillchecks or fight a dozen enemies (that can sometimes oneshot every party member in 2 turns)" to chase desired outcomes.
BG3 plays more like Divinity 3 than a BG game to me, which both makes sense considering Larian made it and is disappointing because the thing Larian used their license on is so far from the old entries into the IP to be closer to a different product entirely (in terms of storyboarding, encounter design and characters).
I hate how important Shart is to the story, it's written to the point of almost forcing her into your party at times.
