Gura was EN’s mascot absolutely, but in JP she was more just the “cute American shark girl.” JP side has Pekora, Marine, Suisei, Korone, and several others who are much more iconic for them. It hurts, but I think her importance was mostly centered for EN. Now when it comes to “who will replace her?” Nobody, at least not in the same way. She’s irreplaceable. But if the question is “who will fill her role as mascot?” There are a few possibilities. One is Calli, who is arguably the Suisei of EN. Another is Biboo, who could be argued to fill the Korone/Pekora role of stream volume and gaming skill. And, I’d were looking purely for “cute” energy, FuwaMoco are obvious picks, and seem to have been groomed for it. All that being said, we can’t know for sure, and for the moment I’d just like to be sad that Gura is gone.

I don't think Gura can be replaced. There's really no one that America can get excited for. Cecilia and Kiara are Europeans, Mori is ambassador and already doing a but I'm not feeling it. Nerissa exists. Everyone else is Asian and that's not going to excite EN. That just feels like Asia knocking on our door and for better or worse they are the 'other' to us. I dunno, it feels over for Holo EN. It's just a collection of foreigners that speak English (unique and novel at this point). I'm sure they'll get lots of sales in Asia but it's going to be indies over here that succeed.

one thing that pissed me off about cover is the times when they first streamed i was actually able to catch the times then i assume cover began forcing them to stream at more jp friendly times like 9 at night, i have no idea what covers mentality is of having all members stream at jp friendly times
