You're right but it'll never change because in the pure soulless corporate outlook
>supporting existing talent = low to 0 return on investment
>introducing new talent = middling to high return on investment
Forgive the soapbox rant but this is again an example of how vtuber companies have the deck stacked in their favor vs the talent. By and large building and retaining an audience is 90% work by the girl. They need to live so they will stream and bring in money, that money is a guaranteed 50% cut by the money regardless of support given by the company. So by a pure numbers and income outlook the optimal business strategy is to give as little support as you can while creating more income sources (talents, merch, sponsors etc). If a talent stops streaming or fails entirely the company doesn't really have to care because there's no operating costs, even a small income is still income, all operating costs are carried by the girl. It's why no one ever gets fired for not streaming like Hina on her current 3 month hiatus. So they keep pumping out more gens to roll the wheel you get another big earner and if they fail then it's not a financial burden as they'll eventually break even assuming you aren't pouring more money into them.
