One of the things I'm glad turned out precisely as I anticipated is Panko's return to streaming. She didn't miss a beat and seems ready and eager to stream. All her recent streams have been great and she seems to be in a good mood. I'm also glad that I managed to catch Hime tan lately, specifically aiming at watchalongs she has so far done. I don't usually watch movies at all so her watchalongs (much like Pippa's) offer a neat opportunity to combine two pleasures into one. I feel bad for missing out on a good chunk of Uruka's streams lately but this is now the usual issue due to timezones and my work/sleep schedule, I really can't do nothing about that. I try my best.
Shiina's bananafication is one of those things that has no common sense but just works for her. Much like how the Crab Princess outfit just werks on her and it proved to be a full win I see her yellowing in the same way. It's so ridiculous and funny, and it has that Shiina vibe to it. I don't even know how she manages to explain this to Sakana, in both cases it just sounds absurd but in practice it's pure gold. It's like she has some hidden gift for self-expression that nobody can understand but is perfectly on point.
I managed to listen to Mari's VOD during work and yes Mari, my beloved, you are a Casio girl. I can feel it. Do it. Buy a Casio. Don't go for expensive, that's not how this game works. You need something that you like seeing. You always buy watches for yourself, not other people. Only other watch people tend to notice watches but in that case it becomes a conversation topic and a good ice breaker. Casio fanboys such as myself are everywhere for instance.
Regarding the delayed debut, rrats aside I just hope the girl is fine and that something didn't catastrophically go tits up. Pun intended. As for the rest of the girls I intentionally avoided any sort of interaction or added/followed them anywhere, that's going to happen once they debut. I have no expectations whatsoever (always my default position) but I'm sure they'll all do fine. What I think is a greater challenge is how to get more people into Phase, if it's possible. Us older fans are largely invested as fuck into our oshis and there's only so much time available. The tragedy of being a vtuber fan is in the fact you inevitably come to the realization you can't watch them all, can't keep track of all, can't save them all. I don't think girls can even understand how bad it feels for us guys to know there's a girl out there whom you know you'd like but can't watch and actively support. Hell, I personally feel bad when (due to timezones) I just lie the fuck down and can't chat sans emoji spam because it feels like you're failing to show support. Others probably feel the same. In any case we need to somehow organically bring in new people and fresh blood.
The interesting thing is that when it comes to weebs some of us are eager to watch vtubers while some refuse and hate them. Two very distinct camps.
