Enjoy. People like to scare you saying that if you do something bad like jaywalk, you'll get publicly canned. Not true. Just don't be an asshole. Everybody is sweet and kind, and you'll finally be able to do something about your yellow fever, if you care.
Cheap food, cheap taxes. Live within your means, and treat yourself to expensive dinners once in a while ($500 wagyu, sushi, and champagne). If you somehow befriend rich expats, then you'll be able to enjoy the good life, pools, late night partying, alcohol, and that stuff. Hopefully you don't end up living with Indians. Practice your karaoke.
Singapore is safe, and there's tons of things to look at just by walking, however, if you don't like going out much you'll probably get bored after a while because you already "did everything". That's when people start travelling to Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, etc. on the weekends.
If you've never been in a tropical environment be prepared to sweat like a pig. Shower, and wear antiperspirant, and shower again many times. You may stink like a corpse. Buildings are extremely cold because of air conditioning, so also wear a sweater.
