Is Lio Rush the future of WWE 205 Live?
>Last week, Lio Rush made his highly-anticipated WWE 205 Live debut against Dewey James. Rush not only showcased his confidence and incomparable swagger, but he also showed the WWE Universe – and his fellow Cruiserweights – exactly what he was capable of inside the ring in a one-sided win.
>The speed and agility Rush displayed was certainly unique – his ability to stop in his tracks and immediately change direction is uncanny – and with it, he brings an unpredictability that makes him a strong contender. Can Rush maintain his confidence, continue his winning ways and test his mettle against the likes of Mustafa Ali or Cedric Alexander?
Buddy Murphy and Mustafa Ali ready to brawl
>The last singles battle between Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy was meant to be the rubber match to their intense rivalry. Both Superstars had exchanged victories and were hoping to stake their claim for another opportunity to challenge Cedric Alexander for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. However, Hideo Itami attacked during that battle and made his claim for a championship opportunity.
>Despite Itami interjecting himself into the championship conversation, the animosity between Murphy and Ali remained strong, even though they now shared a common foe. This led to Murphy, Ali and Itami battling in a Triple Threat Match that saw the Japanese Superstar emerge victorious.
>However, the issues between The Juggernaut and The Heart of WWE 205 Live did not subside, and WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick announced the two would have their chance to battle once again in a No Disqualification Match.
>Reacting to the match in an interview, Ali was interrupted by Murphy, who revealed that he requested the bout to prove he can defeat his nemesis and re-embark on the path to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
>Don’t miss what is sure to be an intense and hard-hitting battle tonight on WWE 205 Live, tonight at 10/9 C on the award-winning WWE Network!
