And for the rest of the tuesday night shitshow:
WWE 205 Live, Aug. 14, 2018 preview: Alexander poised to send Gulak a message
Less than a week before defending his title against Drew Gulak at SummerSlam, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander intends to send a message to The Philadelphia Stretcher at the expense of Gentleman Jack Gallagher
>Akira Tozawa gets a second chance against Lio Rush
Because there's obviously NOBODY else that could be put on the show.
Akira Tozawa will have another opportunity to silence Lio Rush, as WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick has approved a rematch between the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and The Man of the Hour. After weeks of heated verbal exchanges, Tozawa and Rush squared off in a fast-paced battle that allowed Rush to showcase his abilities against one of the Cruiserweight division’s most elite Superstars.
Narrowly scoring a pinfall by knocking his opponent off the ropes before executing his patented Final Hour, Rush wasn’t interested in giving The Stamina Monster a second chance at victory, claiming that he already proved that Tozawa wasn’t in his league. However, WWE 205 Live General Manager sees things differently, and after some deliberation, has decided to grant Tozawa the rematch against Rush tonight!
>Cedric Alexander poised to make an example out of Gentleman Jack Gallagher
After defeating The Brian Kendrick in a hard-fought battle in front of his SummerSlam opponent Drew Gulak, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander was blindsided by Gulak’s ally, Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Gulak, Kendrick and Gallagher proceeded to unload on the champion before WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick intervened. The Philadelphia Stretcher intended to send Alexander a message, but The Soul of WWE 205 Live wasn’t intimidated by his SummerSlam opponent’s tactics.
The Soul of WWE 205 Live addressed the actions of the nefarious trio and expressed his belief that the attack was predicated on the fact that Gulak knows he can’t defeat Alexander at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Due to Gallagher’s brazen attack, Alexander will have the opportunity to make an example of the British competitor when they meet next week in singles competition.
Will Alexander send Gulak a message, or does The Philadelphia Stretcher have more tricks up his sleeve? Tune in to WWE 205 Live tonight at 10/9 C on the award-winning WWE Network.
MAIN EVENT
Same shit, different week. It really is worth watching if you're dissatisfied with the main shows. The matches with the low-mid carders are genuinely more exciting than most of the main show matches.
