Luchablog on WWE purchasing AAA Boliever 04/20/2025 (Sun) 15:55:30 Id: e122c6 No. 150634
>thecubsfan.com/cmll/u74u >Anyone who tells you that it was a shock that AAA was sold was not paying attention. AAA has been actively investigating the sale of part or all of the promotion for at least two years, and I’ve been writing about it here during that time. On his podcast, Jeff Jarrett mentioned that AAA people had been bringing up the idea of selling to WWE as early as 2018. Dave Meltzer implied it’s been the AAA hope to do so since Peña passed away. Fightful reported that a deal has been discussed since the WWE/TKO merger, although it was only signed in the last few days – following Grand Slam Mexico. I believe this is a deal that AAA has wanted to do for a very long time, and it took AEW making inroads into Mexico to convince TKO to pay enough to finalize this transaction.
So it was inevitable that AAA was going to sell or die, and given how shit 2020s AAA has been under Konnan being run by WWE will genuinely be an improvement. Now the good talent at AAA won't be AS wasted (or if they are they'll get paid better)
>>150634 He's such a moron.
>>150634 has business been bad for aaa or something?

That's why nobody ever mentioned it including all of his supposed writing. Goddamn this guy is a twat.
