I don't know why you'd equivocate acidentally calling a kouhai a senpai with EN VTubers not caring about the illusion of character in the same way Japanese ones do. You can talk in and read in Nijisanji fan spaces without relying on imageboard randos as your source of info.

Agreed, general anxiety the biggest thing in EN for reaching out issues, but it's not like new people aren't also nervous especially early on. If anything Rosemi is more nervous with more debuts than a small group of people where she already knew some of them, and feels like time zones are annoying to reach out about when since the branch debuted we barely have anyone in Europe for that to actually be a more significant problem. With JP, part of it it is being an entertainment company I guess, but even looking only at recent debuts a maybe 30 year old psychiatrist guy being the kouhai of a young woman portraying a part-time restaurant employee is already a different work relationship than most elsewhere. Age, life experience, interests, all pretty mixed up. I like it because it shows how the societal structure around that sort of thing is all artificial, gender stereotypes are fake, anyone can get along with or have a funny back and forth with anyone. People still care about formality and rudeness though, and considering when and where people get ticked off I think that's wider throughout at least East Asia significantly more so than Anglo spaces. Considering the latter is flooded with reactionary assholes however the sword is double-edged.
