Netflix Holocausts It's Animation Department Anonymous 04/22/2022 (Fri) 01:10:05 No. 25307
DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD >The news of the changes in the department emerged around the same time the quarterly earnings report for the Netflix streaming platform surfaced. Netflix saw its stock plunge more than 30% after highlighting the loss of 200,000 subscribers, which was the first time the platform had seen such a decrease in over a decade. >Phil Rynda, whose official title is Netflix’s Director of Creative Leadership and Development for Original Animation, was let go this week, along with several of his staff >Along with the firings, the department is seeing the cancellation of notable Netflix shows, including Lauren Faust's Toil and Trouble, Roald Dahl's The Twits, and the heavily delayed adaptation of Jeff Smith's comic book series Bone. >(Netflix confirms their decisions are made using data, which takes into account viewing versus cost.) >Netflix currently touts “Boss Baby” as the ideal of what an animated series on the platform should be and what kind of numbers those animated series should be bringing in <The future is a Nickelodeon style hustle with licensing out the ass and family guy clones everywhere After years of forcing their crappy diversity requirements down project's throats, its all finally come to bite them in the ass. https://archive.ph/aWi6W https://archive.ph/A0Qoh https://archive.ph/OQo8y
>>25307 So I guess Cuphead it's going to have fewer episodes next season? But then the cartoon is repeating what Spongebob did first, what the hell happenedd to leaf cartoons? >>26096 It's all about propaganda, why do you think twitter all of the sudden became worthless when Elon teased at buying stocks?
>>25307 despite the drama this caused people who were doing stuff in house got to keep their ips and for the most part the content that wasnt going to be made in house has no real news about it getting canned. yeah they are bleeding numbers but when have they not been doing that? they dont exactly sink millions into marketing for the things that create unlike its competitors. as for the creator made animation projects and adaptions will i hope they open their doors back up again since there isnt really place to do so in the current age unless you magically become big on social media.

>>25452 >Um woke is good, dude Never meet your heroes, guys. That's a lesson I've been forced to learn again and again since 2014.
Semi-related (I don't want to make a new thread for this), HBO Max is scrubbing a lot of shows because reasons: https://deadline.com/2022/08/hbo-max-titles-pulled-ellens-next-great-designer-the-not-too-late-show-with-elmo-1235094987/ https://archive.is/rZj4w https://nitter.net/cnschedules/status/1560051134185684992 https://nitter.net/azalben/status/1560049311299391489 Cartoons removed: - Aquaman: King of Atlantis - Close Enough - Dodo - Elliott from Earth - Esme & Roy - The Fungies - Infinity Train - Little Ellen - Mao Mao - Messy Goes to Okido - Mia's Magic Playground - Mighty Magiswords - Odo - OK KO - The Ollie & Moon Show - Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures - some Sesame Street specials - Summer Camp Island - The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo - The Runaway Bunny - Theodosia - Tig n' Seek - Uncle Grandpa - Victor and Valentino - Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs
>>28382 >Mao Mao, Heroes of Pure Heart >Mighty Magiswords Why? These shows were actually decent. >Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures And, I just want to see this to see how trash it is. The rest, however, can be tossed in the incinerator.
>>28382 >catalog no longer as extensive now that you don't have a monopoly since stuff people want to watch is now split between the various competitors >fund original stuff to create exclusives but it's minimum budget and formulaic if not propagandist and virtually never good >people start to realize really high quality non-fiction by people who don't hate you is legally free on YouTube >ebooks and audiobooks mean books actually make significant jumps in market share of entertainment >raise prices >customers flee Wow! Bugged streaming mechanics dude!
>>28382 oh, so they are giving them the sym-bionic/megas XLR treatment?, shame
>>28389 We'll see if its a tax write off or they're planning to experiment with licensing shows to other services.
>>28387 STREAMING IS THE FUTURE!
interestingly, they just selected Bee and Puppycat as a new show, and the visuals are being redone.

>>28382 Well at least thay're all shows that are mostly garbage or shows I don't care for. Shame about Infinity Train though I though the first season was decent well that and Mao Mao which wasn't too bad from what I saw. >OK Ko got canned Good! I always hated that show from the beginning I thought it was just reddit tier references mixed with shitty calarts art style. Several years later and I still haven't been proven wrong from what I've seen. Now we just need Craig of the Creek canned too and CN can be purged from anything to do with Steven Universe's crew.

>>28484 Still looks like off-brand Ghibli with a bad color pallet
>>28485 Check out the pilot, Lakewood Plaza Turbo I don't like most of the art design, but the animation and direction is way better than whatever the fuck that show became.
>>28486 It's like these people are from another planet.
>>28486 Why do they pick shit like this up? Bee & Puppycat was the most boring shit I'd seen in years.
>>28491 It's low effort and thus cheap enough to produce.
>>28491 They should atleast have picked the space one.
>>28491 >audio is done >storyboarding is done >comes with an audience it's relatively cheap I guess
>>25329 Can't blame them to get assblasted lol. I hardly watch Netflix, and Edgerunners was the only anime I took a gander at. I'm just waiting for more toys that made us episodes.
>>25310 TDP seasons 1-3 are great fight me. Voltron and She-Ra, however, I agree are garbage, much like the last seasons of Castlevania
>>30443 I almost gave up on dragon prince when they made a character become paraplegic just to make him become fine 2 episodes later. The entire show is a faggot check box going down the list, with my wife's son being one of the main protagonists is the funniest fucking thing. And now the latest season has the bad guy getting panic attacks because he suddenly feels bad while his daughter is sniffing ass gass from an aussie elf because his farts smell nice. Eat my shit. More human/non-human romance like the main characters is welcome though.
>>30448 yea but i believe the writers were ordered by Netflix to add the suspicious amounts of inclusivity things, and despite that they made a decent story (at least when it comes to the first 3 seasons since the 4th is still on my watchlist). And to be honest i did not realize the wife's son became the protagonist that is indeed amusing. Also Aaron Ehasz was the heart of avatar given how when they made korra without him and it became apparent Michael Dante DiMartino should be shot for his retarded storytelling, and Aaron really outdid himself with the story of TDP (seasons 1-3 since 4 might be shit idk yet). And sure there are some problems with TDP but i can understand why he did the things he did.
>>25307 Is Bojack Horseman worth watching or is it as disgustingly bad as its art style?
>>30489 If you're a pseudo-intellectual pretentious hipster SJW, who doesn't actually care about comedy and doesn't know what good plot or character is, then sure, it's totally worth watching.
>>30489 It's unfunny shit sprinkled with moments of jewish self awareness trying as hard as it can to be deep. So no, maybe if you had a dysfunctional family you can relate to it for a few episodes, before dropping it due to realizing the characters are all cardboard SJW hipsters.
So, what's your thought about Inside Job? I have a weakness for autistic women in cartoons.
>>30566 It's shit but I want to fuck Reagan, I can fix her
>>30566 >>30569 I can't stand nu-animaniacs, I doubt I can stand the increased amount of political pandering to the left this show will have just for an autistic girl. Instead, can anyone who has suffered through it break down just how terrible it is? I love watching garbage get ripped apart. It's cathartic. Like tossing trash into one of those super industrial size mulchers than can eat through a safe. Just how bad is this show? Highlights? I feel that unlike Big Mouth, I won't be so disgusted as to not even care for highlights mocking it.
>>25438 Being patently offensive is no justification for double standards. Especially considering the Jews making Big Mouth could probably level the exact same arguments at loli. They could easily say lolicon materials are "the real pedo toons" and their stuff is "innocent comedy" since loli is made to be erotic cartoons of children, and thus "beyond offensive", while their shit is so ugly they can say it's not intended to arouse. It's real easy man. Just have consistent beliefs that don't waver the second something looks icky. Else you're no better than the average reactionary normalfag. >not because they're calling for it's creators to be arrested over it Only one guy implied this >>25423, and I'm not sure he was really trying to just because he replied to someone who set up that position as a strawman or misunderstanding of the western vs eastern art analogy.
>>30622 Big Mouth has more than enough reasons to be hated. >no justification for double standards. Principles are wasted on kikes who have none.
>>30628 >Big Mouth has more than enough reasons to be hated. I hate it too faggot. I never said not to hate it. >Principles are wasted on kikes who have none. <No bad tactics, only bad targets Sounds like you're the kike, friendo.
>>30633 >Oy vey, you need to hold yourself to a code of conduct even though we will never extend that same courtesy. Rules for Radicals, nigger. Making your enemy follow arbitrary rules while flaunting them yourself is subversive 101.
>>30634 >Rules for Radicals, nigger. Making your enemy follow arbitrary rules while flaunting them yourself is subversive 101. The rule here isn't arbitrary and wasn't made up by kikes. The rule here was made up by lolicons and this is about being consistent. You should make the kikes follow their own rules, and not follow theirs. But that doesn't mean you should be a hypocrite without principles that doesn't follow your own rules.
>>30621 It's liberal garbage pretending to be neutral and the most basic bitch conspiracy theory satire, tied in a sitcom. That's literally it
Does anyone have download links to Netflix cartoons?
>>30566 >So, what's your thought about Inside Job? It's better than 97% of all the other Shitflix products, but it still probably deserves oblivion for the feminism and race shit. >I like Myc the mushroom if only because he's an absolute rip-off of Bender who gets to swear. Unfortunately, he's played by a total jewfuck who's an asshole IRL. >I found Glenn the dolphin guy stupidly funny. I think DiMaggio had a lot of fun with him and it shows >I enjoyed the conspiracy jokes like the burger joint in the food court being called "McUltra's" and the other cheap laffs in that vein >I like that they ridicule flat-earthers as being the only conspiracy that isn't true while planning for a meeting with the reptilians in the hollow earth. There's a lot to like and it probably would have done better if Netflix could stop dumping woke fucking shit into their shows by the barrel. Then again, Alex Hirschy Highway was behind it so it was always going to be soylent as fuck.
