>>46121 >Glitch is a very overrated studio. Their work doesn't deserve half of its popularity. Digital Circus is wonderful. It's the best cartoon I've seen in a long time. However, I don't understand what the point is here. Why does this girl want to live in a world that hates her so much? This feels like something I should know otherwise I can't get invested.
>>46300 I mean it's pretty obvious she wants live in that world because she loves her family and enjoys being herself She wants to make people think the prophecy of the human has been delayed so she won't be hunted down for being the human that will bring the end times
>>46300 Nigga, what the actual fuck are you talking about? Try paying the slightest bit of attention to the shit you're watching, and maybe you'll understand why a girl on an island in the middle of nowhere, who craves her fathers approval, wants to enjoy a golden age of decadence.
>>46109 (OP) Is this actually worth watching the thumbnail makes it look like every joke is about farting with the shade of green it uses
>>46383 There's actually no fart jokes in the whole thing
>>46203 >murderous criminal zombie is bisexual What did they mean by this?
Looks amazing, hope it i gets picked up. The designs kick ass, the action kicks ass, its pure unlimited humor like murder drones but less quirky. Im already waiting for the porn, they know what they did. Hope gooman doesnt die, but he seems like the typical jerk who goes out with a sacrifice. >>46162 The banter will spark unlimited keks.
(1.08 MB 3000x2344 lf.jpg)

>>46109 (OP) They should just release the next tadc episode already because I really doubt this will be as interesting as murder drones or tadc
>>46300 What's her alternative? Dying? Cool. Of course that's IF she can die. She may be human but it looks like everyone's immortality comes from Death Hand and what's to stop it from giving Mel immortality when they cement her? The only other option is heaven but the bird mother didn't seem to give two shits about her outside of fulfilling the prophecy.
>>46114 shut up you stupid faggot
>>46187 >high energy while still giving things time to breathe >while still giving things time to breathe >time to breathe
>>46109 (OP) Lore dumps don't make a good show.
>Quirky "humans in hell/hell adjacent scenario" >Isn't immediately "these are good innocent people" I hope they keep up the tone, so sick of these shows trying to make these characters "good". They are psychos living on post apoc earth for a reason, keep it that way.
I felt fucking exhausted after watching that Pilot. Honestly, it should have been the premise for season 1 instead of cramming everything about the setting all at once.
>>46300 The show makes it blatantly obvious that all of the people she cares about exist in the world, even if it's a rotting hellhole. The Rotlings or whatever they're called fear her because she's a literal WMD capable of permanently killing them developed by the Angels and the Angels only view her as a means to an end to complete their goals of total omnicide of all things in the surface world, presumably due to Black Hand granting everyone immortality. People don't hate her for unjustified reasons (and the average person isn't even aware that she IS human) - they fear the Human because it's a perpetually reincarnating genocide weapon devised by celestial beings who want them all dead. And given that it seems that Temperance potentially helped Ken smuggle her out of Heaven upon her birth, it doesn't even seem like all of the angelic forces are fully aligned with the idea of treating her as their tool either.
>>46460 I wouldn't say that the Smiling Dead are "good innocent people", but they clearly aren't completely evil either. They're undead criminals, but their opposition are the literal forces of a Heaven that makes it perfectly clear that total genocide is their aim and who send people to eternal torture in Inferno just for simply trespassing into their domain. One side is bad, but the other are monsters who want to kill everyone.
>>46163 As long it is sexy I'm okay with it.
>More Glitch slop When will it end
>>46451 Consider killing yourself now that we can't even tell you to go back.
>>46490 >When will it end When they run out of money from more and more flops.
>>46482 all this angels, humans, weapons and sinners and demons sounds like a re-skin of hazbin hotel and helluva boss.
Far better pilot than DC and MD. Better pacing, better writing, better action, better art style. Here's hoping it gets picked up.
>>46163 We live in a post "tracer overwatch" world, you think canon rug-munching will stop the pornsmiths from drawing her getting dicked down?
That said, I like the characters. They've got good chemistry between them and their designs are at the very least memorable. The action is fun, and the story of "lone human in disguise" is much more interesting if that bit after the credits implies they're already fucked and that someone who knows Mel's secret might resurface soon. Cyn's VA voicing another whackjob girl pretending to be someone else, with a plush who has x-eyes, is setting a pattern and I hope it persists.
>>46502 It's hazbin/helluva but they'll actually keep to the actual concept of the show instead of devolving into teenage girl mellowdrama
>>46502 >>46523 When you're an indie animation fan but you've never heard of Christianity
>>46109 (OP) I'm a Nechronica fan, so I'm already partial to the "truly undead" schtick. I'll keep an eye on this.

>>46109 (OP) I really, really liked it. Like, compare it to other Glitch shows: >TADC handles its comedic and surreal elements well, but a lot of characters still feel one-note and it just makes me roll my eyes whenever it tries to be scary/serious/sad to the point that it comes off like pic related >Murder Drones handles its horror/serious moments well, but I think the plot was made unnecessarily more convoluted than it actually is to appeal to theory videos & the comedy is so horrendous it's practically show-ruining. This maybe moves a bit too fast in spots, but it really feels like the first Glitch show to achieve a healthy balance between comedy and drama. Not to mention in a sea of "Slice of life furries" and "Crying Lesbian Witches", it's such an original premise, and it's actually doing stuff with it's premise and taking full advantage of it. AND it doesn't even feel like it's shamelessly engineered to appeal to the ‘kids thing but scary’ demo to boot!
>>46482 >>46523 Sounds like shit.
>>46109 (OP) Honestly was really skeptical from the trailer, what was pleasantly surprised by the pilot.
>>46109 (OP) I remember a past thread on co/ where they tried hyping this up as "too dirty for YouTube" and then instantly got called out for never mentioning the advertisers they were scared of Ever notice that? No one whining about monetization ever says the name of even ONE BRAND, none. That leads me to suspect those nebulous advertisers are all actually foreign brands, mostly for Chinese and Indian products
>>46109 (OP) I first herd of this mediocre show because of a patreon voting poll to see which waifu gets drawn first, to my surprise this thing is recent, I thought this shit belonged to a forgotten Anima Studios slop movie. Can't believe those lewd autists are getting hyperfixated over the new Jewtube slop produced by Soyim Matzo Goy 4, truly a dark age for Kiff fans.
>>46508 Yeah, hopefully it gets a good enough contract to finish it's story.
Animation quality is really fucking good outside of a few scenes, kinda wish this was a 90 minute film instead of a series though
I thought that this was a pretty well animated show that picked up my interest around the halfway mark when they infiltrated Heaven. Cool watch but I'm not sure if a full series could keep my interest. Could have been better paced in the beginning. I would say I enjoyed it more than Murder Drone's pilot (not hard I know) but the TADC pilot beats it out.
>>46867 I agree with most people in that it's paced a little too quick (especially at the escape sequence in the end) but I honestly was able to follow it all very easily and wasn't confused by anything. After a rewatch, the only things I noticed that I missed were little background gags or whatever. I do think they could've gotten up to maybe 30 minutes instead of 25. Maybe it'd give out some more time to breathe.
Can someone please recommend me a good cartoon thwt I haven't watched before? SMG4 stuff isn't good enough to satisfy the voices in my head.

>>46109 (OP) I liked it so far. The quality of the animation is crazy aesthetically it looks very pretty. A little too fast passed at times but I see why it needed to be that way because of the amount of information they had to cram in a 20 minute episode. Even if the characters are le edgy quirky types they're not as bad as other shows from Glitch Murder Drones Also I wanna fuck Melancholy.
>>48220 Honestly why do people like Murder drones? The story just doesn't make sense to me
>>48220 while i liked the animation from a technical perspective, i'm not a fan of the character designs. >>48264 i like murder drones it's mostly the humor, which i guess require a very specific audience. sure, there's a bit of story here and there but it's actually all about the unironic angsty teen kinda humor, the spooky stuff and the sexy murder bots there was a whiteboard in the background of the last episode that went something like pic related personally, i'm not one of those people that scours freezeframes trying to piece together a story with all the background hints the author places about, trying to worldbuild that way, so gaslight district was a bit eh for me
>>48193 I like Stugo! It’s ongoing but it’s Disney, so I’m hopeful for a second season.
>>48264 >>48265 I liked murder drones primarily for the art direction and visuals. I enjoyed the story and characters, but I can understand if you found it difficult to follow. For me the humor is the worst aspect by far. It got some laughs outta me, but most of it was too ironic etc.
>>48264 Hormonal teenage anime characters and a whole lot of gory violence.
>>48264 sexy robots.
>>46109 (OP) "hazbin, but green and black"
(3.94 MB 1920x1080 1711918101247.webm)

>>48264 Murder Drones is an awesome show, personally I REALLY enjoyed it. If you didn't understand the story, you might not have caught many of the things the show shows you. It's the kind of deal where you sort of need to pay a lot of attention and put a bunch of things together, s the show is very show-don't-tell and presents a lot of information visually that you can go back and pause to look at. The neat thing about Murder Drones is that even if you're not a massive lorefag and don't care about autistically scouring through frames for info, the excellent music, visuals, atmosphere, etc provide easy entertainment. Also yes the sexy robots. As for Gaslight District, it didn't immediately catch my interest as much as Murder Drones for example but it's ONLY the pilot right now. We'll see what the future brings but I think the show will have a fine future.
>>48220 (Almost) Everybody wants to fuck Mel, anon. I wanna see her being pervy some more.
>>46109 (OP) I enjoyed it a lot. I like the artstyle, almost pseudo-claymation/puppet look. The characters aren't particularly obnoxious, the basic premise is potentially fun and the action sequences were well paced. If anything, I think the pilot advanced the plot too much. The whole heist thing could have been a whole season deal or at least a good mid-season payoff. But yes, pretty fun overall, my favourite out of the glitch trio so far. I couldn't stomach Murder Drones dialogue, TADC should be called "The Amazingly Mediocre Digital Circus". This one feels like it has some bite to it while not going full quirky, curse-a-lot like Hazbin Hotel usually dives down into.
(3.45 MB 5000x5000 1694757542239405.png)

>>46109 (OP) >that framerate Puke inducing.
(158.91 KB 1080x823 professional gaslighting.jpeg)

>>46109 (OP) I don't find it as captivating as the dark eldritch horror sci fi world kino of Murder Drones, but I like it a lot more than Amazing Digital Circus. It's got edge, I like edge. I think this show will perform good. Also I was today days old when I learned Cyn / Absolute Solver and Mel both have the same voice actor.
I enjoyed the pilot, but yeah, it definitely doesn't have the broad appeal that TADC has.
>>46109 (OP) Like the style but little else. Don t loke the character or the world.
>>48801 Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are fucking dogshit and this does the concept way better.

Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy
>>46109 (OP) I enjoyed it well enough, but I feel it's lacking in intrigue. What are the questions here? Beyond "is Mel's destiny avoidable/misinterpreted", which is obviously going to be "no/yes" respectively because it's the most blatantly obvious thing in the world that we're following the messiah, not the antichrist. It's just gonna be a bunch of wry humor about unlife in a grungy immortal world. It's fine to watch to fill the time, but there's no hooks like Murder Drones and Digital Circus. I don't really want to see more of it.
>The only arguments for why [INSERT SHOW HERE] is good is shit like <Uhh it looks good <Muh aesthetics I don't know which is worse, elementary tier arguments OR extreme shallowness
>>48858 Eye candy and aesthetic appeal are perfectly valid draws. It'd be nice if there were more than that, though.

>>48880 Damn. Those fuckers work fast.
>So many posters thinking Mel is one of the zombies Come on guys, the plot is only 10mm deep and explained in the first couple of minutes.
>>48890 Don't care, my dick says she's a zombie.
>>48890 But she's green. Is she wearing body paint 24/7, or is that just part of her nature?
(74.53 KB 1207x681 Capture.JPG)

>>48898 I was thinking facepaint for her head, since the rest of her is always covered up, but the skin under her torn bandages looked green too. It's probably just a style choice, like her blood being black instead of red.
>>48901 >but the skin under her torn bandages looked green too. The area around the torn skin looks human-toned to me.

Its a shame 4chan died right before this pilot dropped. I would have enjoyed posting about the cute creepy zombie waifu and the zesty cyborg men
>>48959 Mel's hips drive me wild!
>>48901 >It's probably just a style choice, like her blood being black instead of red. no, her having black blood is an actual plot point i forget why tho
>OP tries to gaslight me into thinking discount fagsbin hoesmell clone is good. And failed. Why are all these indie cartoons so samey anyway?
>>48959 There was already a thread, dumbass. Next time check the catalog like an Anon who isn't a complete moron.
>>48980 (48959) >Why are all these indie cartoons so samey anyway? I'm assuming because they mostly come from the same twitter/tumblr crowd with art degrees from the same schools. The guy who made this, Nick Szopko, worked on the art and animation for Helluva Boss. Gooseworx is also credited as composer for Hazbin Hotel.
>>48835 You make some pretty good points, I disagree on much of Helluva Boss but I get your point. Yeah, I agree that Gaslight District probably won't be as overall successful as Murder Drones or TADC (obviously, in the case of TADC) but it doesn't need to be. It'll likely be successful enough on its own, with a solid fanbase. The creator is relatively unknown, and we'll see how the ball rolls. At least 10 million views per episode after the Pilot is pretty likely.
Her dad acts more like a jealous boyfriend than a dad
>>49006 >I'm assuming because they mostly come from the same twitter/tumblr crowd with art degrees from the same schools. These people haven't undergone any character growth since 2015.
>>49006 Probably why I prefer Murder Drones over most of these shows personally, the creator Liam Vickers isn't part of that crowd and has his own rabbit hole of autism that's been a lot of fun over the years.
>>46109 (OP) BREED MEL! CHILDBEARING HIPS!!!
>>49017 He hit the pipe
>>48978 The black blood is why I wondered if she was really green or if it was face paint. Humans don't have black blood, so if she already has one inhuman trait a second isn't unthinkable.
>>49086 Dead blood turns black.
(20.75 KB 486x587 Go7OWH7W0AAf57h.jpg)

>>48959 Agree, I wish the hacker shut down 4ch AFTER the pilot aired so everyone could discuss it in one place. I'm sad that we missed out on the initial rush of autism, I only hope interest isn't dead by the time the site comes back up because we aren't getting another episode anytime soon. I would've also enjoyed sexualizing the Virtues.

>>49194 There's a spectrogram near the end of the pilot someone found too. >(????) IT MEN, I SEE A BIG ONE DOWN THERE
>>49197 Possibly something to do with the hook fishing for the cemented rotlings at the end? Dunnoe.
>>48856 It's got as at least as much intrigue as MD's pilot. Less than TADC, but that show hasn't done much to explore that intrigue.
>HB >HH >MD >TADC >Now this None of these shows have any staying power(compared to the old shit). Who will remember them after ~5-10 years? They're all forgettable Mere dust in the wind
>>49248 I think that's just the nature of content creation. Nobody can just plan to make something great and lasting, they can only create their best and hope it catches on. This one has a neat style and I like the dynamic the cast has, but the world lore is a bit shallow in the pilot. Personally, I hope they ditch the 'npc' rotlings design and make them look more like people.
(340.02 KB 598x750 174501850351.jpg)

>>49252 Personally I think it's fine if they have generic rotlings for crowd filler. Makes the unique ones like Jack, the blonde lady and the sermon holders stand out more. Of course, having more unique rotlings to complement Paradise Lost and the various areas of the Gaslight District would help too.
>>49252 Agreed on the rotling design. Yeah, they're supposed to be eldritch corrupted/mutated humans but it's weird only a few of them have unique appearances, wear clothes, or have distinguishable sex. I assume it's just likely a time and budget issue for the pilot. Just having one or two dozen models solely for background characters would make things a lot more visually interesting and look a lot less like a video game world populated by mostly NPCs. Most animated and drawn works at least have some form of pool of generic character designs for crowds or background characters that aren't important enough to be named or the artists just fill in the background character designs with whatever makes the setting feel more like a living breathing world of real people that mostly just don't interact with the main characters. Related I would really like it to be explained what the difference is between the decaying zombies that make up The Smiling Dead that look much more human than the rest of the Rotlings. My theory is the zombies might just be humans that were brought back from the dead when humans were turned into eldritch mutants. The living became like Jack and the various others that seemingly make up the majority of the setting while the dead reanimated with little to no physical changes. As for why zombies appear to be rare, maybe only the ones that were recently dead or had enough of their bodies left actually reanimated.
>>49240 TADC doesn't really seem to be about the intrigue or mystery like Murder Drones and Gaslight District seem to be. TADC is more about the characters and whatnot, hence the usual little therapy session and heart-to-heart talk at the end of each episode. Not really my cup of tea, and I don't find it particularly interesting in TADC's case.
>>49272 I don't think the show is ever going to explain why the Smiling Dead look unique and the other Rotlings all look fairly generic with the same base look. Like you said, it's a matter of resources. It's much easier to have a generic Rotling look to apply to all the background / non-important characters, and means focus can be applied elsewhere. For example, in Murder Drones the side-character and background characters drones (well, all the drones really) having the same base look makes sense and is explained in the world - because they're robots. Of course, they are diffrentiated by accessories and personalities and even body light-colors. In this case though for Gaslight District, I think it's just going to be left unmentioned. Because really it's not THAT important, only characters that are actually inportant to the story will get a unique look.
>>49348 Well yeah, my point is there was plenty of material in the pilot for future episodes to have gone down a more lore and intrigue-focused route if that's what Gooseworx had opted for. What's the Digital Circus? Who made it and why? Who were all these funny characters before they ended up here? What's the deal with Caine? What about the void? Is there really no way out? Is there no way to cure abstraction? So many mysteries the show could explore but hasn't.
>>49074 Maybe that's how she's supposed to end the eternal life curse, by giving birth to a whole new human population not connected to the black hand?
>>49392 They'll explore those things at the end. At the same time, you only think you want answers until you get them. Then you realize too many answers ruins the mystique appeal.

>>46109 (OP) All the fucking contrarians, nay-sayers and crabs are simply smoothbrain shit heads. We get an indie studio pumping out episodes and it's just straight up bitching like it's the mainstream slop. These shows are a fucking THOUSAND times better than what main studios produce. Hell I am impressed with the Gaslight District compared to the fucking piss poor Netflix, Amazon, or Disney shows that are or have come out. I hope Glitch Studio makes headway into more indie studios rather than the thinly veiled culture-war political-insert slop that mainstream shit is churning out. These feel like actual fucking cartoons and not being preached at or poorly subtle propagandized at. Just visuals and story-telling, fucking kino you unhappy fucks. Support the good and shit on the bad, and this is NOT bad.
>>49869 This. Glitch makes kino. The exaggerated bitching from contrarian faggots is so absurd when you look at the mainstream garbage being readily consumed by the masses. The difference in quality is night and day. Unironically, Glitch's shows have soul. They clearly have actual love put into them. Fuck people that try to claim otherwise. And fuck mainstream corporate disney-netflix slop.
>>49896 To add on, Glitched Studio has also created and leaned into their own very distinctive brand thus far. It's in the name... Glitch(ed)... 3D animations that are usually on the grittier and unconventional side. TADC really leans into the concept of "glitched" and is as of now their most popular indie IP.

I think I'm going to stick to discussing the series on here or any other altchan for now. Can anyone read what the rest of the locations say on the map? I can only make out Glow Haven/Heaven(?) on the bottom left. Right is from the trailer.

>>50691 I can make out Flicker Falls (just above Heaven/Paradise Lost) and The Apocalypse Stadium (to the far west of the ring). The three remaining locations I can't quite clearly read. One of them is 'The Pyramid of the-', the other two indecipherable. Based on the image for the last two, the first seems to be a connecting urban centre to the stadium. The second seems more like...wasteland? Mountainous desert? A beach? If we had a better image, we'd probably know.

>>50870 You have a good eye. The map is intentionally blurred in those areas so a majority of my photo editing doesn't help much. I managed to figure out the top right one however, seems to be the main habitat of the Litterbugs considering the icon (possibly an entrance to the pits?). The ones with Rotling icons are meant to imply civilian spaces if I had to guess. With the series likely only having eight or nine episodes I wonder how much of this we're going to see meaningfully in the show- considering that there's also layers beneath the surface of the district.
