Cartoon Cartoons Anonymous 04/26/2025 (Sat) 17:20:48 No. 50341
Halfchan's /co/ was full of zoomers so this thread was often impossible. Nostalgic memories of CCF? Any CC show you wish you had gone on longer? Remember the website's flash cartoons? Like that island adventure game that had character from pilots as player characters. Guilty pleasures? Let's all discuss it here. I think I'm the only weirdo who liked Mike, Lu and Og as well as Sheep in the Big City.
I wonder what happened to the human hosts, the fat guy and chick, their tenure was fun.
>>50344 tbh where I like there were no human hosts, just the cartoon cartoon characters themselves hosting CCF.
>>50347 Same but they eventually had to shake things up, though both eras were still better than Fried Dynamite during the CN Real era.
>>50349 Oooh I see, stuff like that didn't happen here, CCF died altogether around 2004. Which is a shame, every day I miss the feeling of eagerly waiting for friday night to arrive and watch CCF with the hosts
>>50351 What makes unique about this block is that every friday, there’s The Big Pick where viewers get to vote which show to become the new cartoon cartoon!
>>50352 Oh I also remember that on World Premiere Toons via the use of the VERY early cartoonnetwork.com right?
>>50351 >ooh I see, stuff like that didn't happen here What country are you from?

Remember this cursed pic?
>>50400 Jesus Christ.
>>50341 Mina and the Count should have been picked up as a series.
>Mike, Lu and Og THAT is a trip. I remember Sheep mildly better, though.
>>50355 I don't know how to spoil here but south of border. I loved both rhe dubbed version of CCF and it's american original during the few years my cable provider had the american CN.
>>50635 That makes sense. I know down south they had their own special bumpers, CCF probably lasted longer than the American version.
>>50341 >Sheep in the Big City. It had some good episodes but too much dead air because the shorts format was complete trash

For me it's Whatever Happened to Robot Jones. As a little kid I was the only one in my class who really gave a shit about it, tuned in every single Friday to watch him. Really loved the aesthetic and Robot himself was a very lovable character. Was very upset years later when I discovered that his TTS voice was redubbed and at the time there were no surviving episodes of the original voice, thankfully that has been remedied.
>>50689 The 3 short format might've been detrimental to it, yeah.
>>50736 I wonder if the show's retro-60s artstyle was detrimental for wider appeal by then. It looked like it genuinely came from the 60s to a fault, it did that Schoolhouse Rock-cum-Rocky and Bullwinkle look real well.
>>50736 Can't be too hard to redub with a random tts.
>>50576 You can watch HBO Max rips of it on jewtube fwiw. ML&O is really underrated, but even so I can see why it didnt last long alongside the other big cartoon cartoons.
>>50736 I swear any CN show with a robot in it was fated to bad luck by divine intervention. They always got destroyed.
>>50341 Am I the only one that never liked Cow and Chicken? It was another case where it felt like a CN original that was trying to ape Nicktoon popularity, but unlike Mike Lou and Og, Cow and Chicken had nothing new to say. It was just storebrand Ren and Stimpy.
>>50906 I liked Cow and Chicken, IDK what to tell you. It was fun how Red Guy and Him from PPG shared the same VA in the dubbed version I watched, if I may be so nostalgic.

>>50736 I LOVE WHTRJ? even tho nearly everyone was unlikeable except for Robot, his 3 dorky friends, his parents and the janitor (fuck Shannon, Principal Hitler, those DEVO hat twins, and ESPECIALLY the math teacher, would have loved to see you all die in the planned finale)

>>50341 >>50576 >>50689 >sheep in the big city was supposed to get a season 3 and a finale tv movie <mo willems was too busy working on knd to do it “I’M NOT A MAD SCIENTIST!!! PLEASE GET IT RIGHT, I’M ANGURY!!! I’M AN ANGRY SCIENTIST, NOT MAD, ANGURY!!! ANGURY SCIENTIST!!!
>>51983 Yes! Robot was such a likable protagonist, truthfully I had a huge crush on him as a child... still kind of do, but in any case it's such a shame CN just tossed him and his show aside. He has such a marketable design, would have loved to buy a plush of him, or really any merch. Also agreed, fuck Shannon, Robot deserves a girl who can treat him right.
