Nelvana RIP Anonymous 09/02/2025 (Tue) 03:47:15 No. 56450
Another studio closes its doors.
>>56450 >beyblade What the fuck? >Following Bakugan, Nelvana entered into another anime co-production, this time reviving the Beyblade property with d-rights, Takara Tomy and Hasbro.[51] Beyblade: Metal Fusion debuted globally in 2010, running for 167 episodes before inspiring a sub-franchise consisting of BeyWheelz, BeyWarriors: BeyRaiderz and BeyWarriors: Cyborg. >Bakugan What the fuck?? >Bakugan Battle Brawlers (爆丸 バトルブローラーズ, Bakugan Batoru Burōrāzu) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Nelvana Animation and TMS Entertainment under the direction of Mitsuo Hashimoto. The story centers on the lives of creatures called Bakugan and the "battle brawlers" who possess them. The Bakugan franchise itself is a joint venture between Sega Toys, Spin Master and Nelvana.[3][4] Huh. Were they actually competent enough to handle the artstyle? Putting this aside, across the board it seems whatever that was left of talent in western and maybe even eastern animation studios had dried up through 2010s, and 2008 was the tipping point. Maybe eastern studios are simply gripping to intertia at this point. Besides corporate greed, was this also the time where the generational talent pool started retiring or were worn down enough to no longer have the drive or endurance to produce a good cartoon?
>>56450 >6teen I remember feeling about the ending the same way I felt about most shounen manga/anime endings.
It's their own fault green lighting a lot of generic slops. I miss much their quality from pre-2009, RIP.
>>56450 Of all the horrors I've bared witness to in my lifetime, watching Canada get on it's knees to become the next Captain Sweden before committing total sepuku on the altar of gay race communism is one which totally and utterly baffles me. They've really just pissed everything away. I wouldnt be surprised to see Wildbrain scoop up Nelvana's still warm remains between now and the coming year. Sad to see another former industry titan eat shit like this.

>>56450 Rest in peace. It's a shame that the only source of traditional animation is mostly in Asia now that almost every animated production studio is stuck with that digital rigging style. That's a lot worse than that beanface trend.
>>56462 You will never be white
>>56462 Go fuck yourself, Luciano.
>4th pic Man, they worked on way more stuff than I thought, and especially way more stuff I actually watched than I knew. Damn shame.
>>56450 >canada's most biggest
>>56481 Probably one of those disgusting French-Canadians.
>>56483 Most likeliest Indians

Corus (the owners of Nelvana) says that the "Nelvana" name will still exist, but the actual animation production will be "halted" and instead be “focusing on distribution, merchandising, and managing existing properties” so expect some other company to be doing the animation work for some old IP that they own. https://archive.is/UowNR As an aside, what a pathetic logo for Corus.
