Oneirosophy Thread Anonymous No. 17592
Greetings. I wanted to inaugurate a thread on Oneirosophy. Oneirosophy means "dream wisdom". Oneirosophy is an idealistic/non-dual magical system, founded over the truth and understanding of the subjective experience. For starters, let me use a early definition of this branch of magic by a former Oneirosopher in order to get a general concept about the subject: >Oneirosophy is an idea i have been playing around with which basically is a combination of dream yoga and gnosticism but without any tradition or dogma. In a way it can be thought of as the chaos magick equivalent of dream yoga or chaos yoga if you will in that it attempts to use lucid dreaming and or lucid waking to gain a deeper level of lucidity in this dream world. What separates Oneirosophy from tibetan dream yoga is that while dream yoga seeks the dissolving of the ego and entering nirvana, Oneirosophy is only about achieving and maintaining lucidity in this ideaverse and it is up to the practitioner to decide what he or she wants to do from there. It is open to practitioners of both left and right hand paths. Oneirosophy also has parallels to the Thelemic concept of true will, Oneirosophy is about being able to be lucid in this world to create a dream more tailored to your own unique will. Ultimately Oneirosophy has a lot of room to be explored, whatever it really means is still somewhat unknown, but through discussion it can be explored much deeper. Many people claim to be subjective idealists and feel that this world is a dream, but there are still many challenges and obstacles that bind us to the material world. Oneirosophy proposes discovering personal techniques to maintain a sense of lucidity as well as recognizing and overcoming obstacles that hinder our progress. Summarizing the idea, "The fundamentals of Oneirosophy" would be the following: >Every single one of us live in their own reality. Your world is your private dream. >What you truly are is an "open space of awareness" in which experiences arise. >Reality is idealistic (Idealism: All of waking reality is a mental structure, a dreamed reality). >As you progress on your path, trough techniques, knowledge and understanding of the subjective experience, you increase further lucidity (Lucidity: A state similar to gnosis or satori where one regains consciousness of the illusory nature of waking reality, just as one becomes lucid in a dream). >An open mind combined with healthy caution is the correct mindset for all approaches targeted at the subjective experience. Never believe something without personal evidence; never dismiss something without personal evidence. I get the impression that it, like most egregores, is parasitic, but this seems worse. Actually, imagining it seems like a bad idea. I'll try to keep my mind away from it.

Now it's just your regular fandom circlejerk. The fandom kinda lost it's clout since it's legendary years. It's notoriety wasn't able to spread beyond niche imageboard culture. If you find the nightmarish parts of the mlp egregore while visiting the astral or other dream spaces then it happens because you connected to the fucked up version of the internet fandom. Don't forget the fact that my little pony started because hasbro wanted to sell plastic horses for little girls. Just because autistic basement dwellers do fucked up shit to their plastic toys it doesn't mean they are the majority.
