You get bases for playing the game, but most of them will come from breaking down the shit discs you get from running Routine Cleanup.

So, if your choice is between rolling A discs or crafting them up BUT having to run HIA for Dennies or, god forbid, Platings, you should just roll As instead. But if you have enough resources, then crafting is better. Crafting up mats wasn't in the game when it just started, it was added in a patch. Before, you had to roll your Bs and As to get any use out of them.
