Okay, I found 'em.
So, continuing from
>>1250857 and
>>1239585, lemme see...
So, going back to the assumption of
= *
with the latter being assumed to be 15%.
Then, we're going from 40% to 48% CRIT DMG one the base of 100% CRIT Rate and 200% CRIT DMG (so overshooting average stats by ''a bit).
This means that just the Potential change pushes the total damage increase from ~30.33% to 33.4%, which is an absolute win.
Now, the changes to BA5 make everything make way more sense.
No wonder I had doubts BA5 was even implemented properly, because I didn't see any of the "explosion" behavior.
So, there are two versions of BA5, and I think the slower one is the enhanced one.
The negative aspect of this approach is that before I was wondering if the slow BA5 was maybe tied to routing into it using automatic Fire Suppression without timing the input or something (albeit it did look like it was having a bigger explosion afterwards), but it's pretty much confirmed to be the MV tax here.
The upside is that the multiplier is fucking HUGE.
Lemme see how it compares to what I had drafted out before for BA5 and update that
Comparison:
BA5 BA12 BA5(new) BA5(enhanced)
Damage 411.4 225.6 907.7 1161.4
Daze 168.2 79.1 219 219
Energy 3.841 1.764 4.98 4.98
Decibels 29.3425 13.5025 38.06 38.06
Anomaly 106.66 48.96 138.33 138.33
Miasma 106.67 48.98 138.34 138.34
And I think the final multiplier confirms that the optimistic estimation of BA5 explosions summing up with each level up, i.e.
>619.5%~982.2%
was the intended initial approach.
So, if the animations don't change, which I'm currently inclined to believe they wouldn't, as the BA5 we saw already fits the current beta stats better than what we saw datamined before, the MVs on BA5 has been objectively and universally buffed. Quite significantly at that.
There are some hypothetical downsides, i.e. S11 now gets a new mechanic where her BA combo gets faster if she times her inputs with guaranteed Fire Suppression stacks present, but now you'd spend all your stacks after CA or Ultimate anyway, so the increase of that particular part of her kit isn't particularly strong.
But a slight increase in BA chain speed would only matter in a rotation if it gets more attack in, and to get huge attack in, e.g. BA4/BA5/EX/CA/Ultimate, the attack speed increase should be massive. So I don't think it'd actually have a huge impact during stun rotations, outside of making them slightly more consistent due to them taking less time overall.
Also, before each CA would hypothetically give you up to 3 BA5 activations, i.e.
Attack Chain: CA > BA4 > BA5 > BA3 > BA4 > BA5 > BA3 > BA4 > BA5
Fire Suppression stacks: 8 => 7 => 6 => 5 => 4 => 3 => 2 => 1
But in practice, you wouldn't have enough time during the stun to fully take advantage of this. A standard 12 seconds stun window barely has enough time for:
>CA > BA1234 > CA > BA1234 > BA1234 > Ultimate
Meanwhile, I wonder if they changed the timing to align
>CA > BA45 > CA >BA45 > BA1234 > Ultimate > BA45
to that timing, or something like that. Maybe even
>CA > BA45 > CA > BA45 > EX > BA45 > BA345 > Ultimate > BA45
Taking the middle rotation, and comparing the MVs to the OG version, we're going from:
>2xCA + 1xUltimate + 3xBA1234
<2530% + 4206.2% + 3513.9% = 10250.1% total MVs during the stun at Skill Level 12
to
>2xCA + 1xUltimate+ 4xBA4 + 1xBA123 + 3xBA5(e) + 18x[Fire Suppression Explosion][Expand Post]
<2530% + 4206.2% + 2726.8% + 489.6% + 3484.2% + 2003.4% = 15440.2%
As you may see, that's a bit of an increase. You could throw in EX at the end of the OG combo, assuming the updated one takes too long to fit it in, and you'd still only end up with 33% more damage on the new rotation.
So, the original "only 15% extra damage increase from BA changes" estimation was indeed extremely conservative.
Additionaly, the MVs do not tell the entirety of the story, because all BA damage coming from S11 has 70% extra DMG bundled into it. However, how impactful this is would be incredibly team and build-dependent.
Universally, though, only ~34% of the OG burst (30.3%, if we include the EX at the end) would come from BAs, while FUCKING 56% would come from BAs for the proposed beta rotation.
Even if the MVs of the two rotations were identical, [0.34*x*(d + 0.7) + 0.66*x*d] is always less than [0.56*x*(d + 0.7) + 0.44*x*d]
In fact we can estimate by how much, for a given DMG% increase of d.
e.g. see pics related:
d=1.725 corresponds to:
>30% Fire DMG #5
>32.5% AA
>10% Inferno Metal
d=2.815 is then:
>32.5% AA
>75% Lighter
>10% Inferno Metal
>40% Astra (and her ball)
>24% Astral Voice
y is total damage relative to the input of x.
The green line is the new ratio and the red line is the old ratio.
The higher the difference of y between the two lines at the same x the higher is the relative total damage increase for the new combo for a given value of d. I.e. it matters more if you have less DMG% already, duh.
All of that being said, with the current multipliers in play, I think estimating a 35% total DPS increase from BA changes alone is pretty reasonable.
Bringing in the raw CRIT DMG% buff into the equation leaves us with a conservative estimate of 56% average damage increase.
Aside from all that crap, the explosion of BA5 looks sufficiently delayed, so who knows, maybe a CA cancel is possible there? I'd cum if it is.
This is going to be fun, god damn it.
