I GO TO WORK AND THEY NERF HARIN AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Seriously speaking, though, if that's as far as the nerf go, everything looks amazing.
Sure, 60% CRIT DMG was nothing to sneeze at, but it was also honestly a fuckhuge bonus - questionable to begin with.
Going from it to a more reasonable 40% (now with no requirements! Doing stuff in combat always has opportunity cost, even if situational) is a price I'm more than willing to pay for keeping the honestly amazing kit updates.
Even by my insanely conservative calcs from
>>1239585, S11 is down from ~38% overall damage increase to 30%, which is still incredibly respectable.
And I'm still lowballing the impact of her updated kit, due to the whole
>BAs are only 30~40% of Harin's total damage
approach.
But that's a bit of a specific statement.
Say you're running Lighter - it means you're running hypercarry Harin, and your damage is most likely focused around the burst.
Harin's CA and Ultimate become a considerably more important than usual when Lighter is involved. Why? Because her BAs start 70% saturated on Fire DMG while her CA and Ultimate do not, so his buff is disproportionally better for those.
For instance, if you're running current S11 with Orphie and Trigger instead, using only one CA from both Harin and Orphie is often optimal, meaning the proportional weight of her BAs in her total damage output increases.
Another thing to consider is that Harin often deals most of her damage during the stun.
Not because of her silly AA. Mostly because of her CA and Ultimate being very good DPS, sure, but also because most bosses would actively stop her from getting her most damaging attacks (BA3 and BA4, really it's mostly BA4) out, because her Dodge Counter, while having great multipliers on paper, doesn't benefit from 70% DMG increase from her Core and resets her BA chain back to the godawful BA1.
So, the ability to actually get good BAs out instead of being stuck in the
>BA12 > DC > BA1 > DC > DC > BA12 > DC > BA1 > ,,,
hell could improve her out-of-stun damage quite considerably.
Additionally, the stun itself is a very brief damage window, so it's no wonder the total damage done during it is dominated by CA and Ultimate, because you barely have enough time to fit in enough BAs to stack up The Brimstone, but now, you get to
start your in-stun BA chain with BA4, skipping all the trash before it and getting to the actual hit you want to land, you get to follow it with BA5 that at very least will be a BA4-tier attack, and potentially even stronger, and the worst BA you'll ever land during the stun is BA3, which is still pretty good MV/s!
So the total damage you'll do with BAs during the stun will jump dramatically.
BUT IT'S NOT OVER YET!
Harin's EX hits like a truck, BUT it has a shitty-ass recovery, so unless you're swapping out of it, the actual DPS increase from doing it is less than ideal.
And guess fucking what. Now it shortcuts to BA4
AND activates BA5 (so, at the very least an attack of similar level),
AND deletes the shitty BA12 from your rotation for 8 hits.
Basically, the tl;dr is that
1) I honestly doubt it's just a 15% total DPS increase from the kit changes
2) There had to be a nerf and I'm incredibly happy it's a very minor nerf to the boring bonus numbers and not to the amazing kit that cause me to salivate.
