I've played this game since the release and I still don't understand how to properly swap character during combat. I understand that I'm supposed to press Spacebar in order to do a swap forward, like 1>2>3, and that I'm supposed to press C to go backwards, like 1<2<3, but I feel like most of the time, it doesn't work. In my head, when I set my support to position 1, stunner to position 2 and attacker to position 3 for example, normally you'd think that you can just press Spacebar over and over again to go 1>2>3>1>2>3>1>2>3>1>2>3, but there are time when doing Defensive Assists or Quick Assists that completely mess up the ordering, making it so that whenever I press space, my character selection goes backward or forward (1>3 / 2<1). Does that make any sense to you guys?

I just saw this part of the video focused around Evenlyn's stun rotation and I suddenly remembered that I wasn't able to do shit like that, because at some point for example, you have to swap Astra in. And for me, whenever I want to swap Astra in, my agent selection is stuck on 2>3>2>3>2>3 and it never goes to 1 when I want it to, I can't swap to Astra when I want to, but sometimes, just sometimes, randomly in the combat, Astra pops out of nowhere despite the fact that I didn't want to swap to her.
Either way, can anyone in here relate to what I'm saying? Because I genuinely struggle with this issue since the beginning and I tried expressing it a couple of times before but I could never have a conversation with anyone feeling the same way. I'm just trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong, have some setting on or off, or is something wrong with me. I guess I just accepted that it works like that and maybe that's the norm, but with fights getting more and more technical, it's really starting to feel annoying.
Could it be related to the fact that I'm not really using the standard way of ordering the squad members? Normally you'd go Attacker-Stunner-Support, or in other words, MainDPS-Off-field-DPS-Support, or something like that. And I always do the opposite, I do Support-Stunner-Attacker, or Support-Off-field-DPS-MainDPS. The reasoning behind it is because I mostly open with supports to grant a buff and swap out, I did that at the beginning of each fight ever since I can remember. It was especially useful when Astra came out. Is that possibly causing the issues?
Tldr: I have no control over my units in combat and I'm tired of pretending like its an in-game feature
