Huh. Apparently quickswapping with lingyang is possible. I kinda wanna try this and investigate it now.
>With that said I'll get straight to the point. Lingyang's kit is specialized for hot-swaps as a "default" character. What do I mean by that? What it means is that you have to use Lingyang alongside another DPS Carry to truly see his potential.
Why, you may ask. It's because of a majority of his kits catering to quick-swap playstyles.
Basic Attack (BA) and Resonance Skill (RS) is his default DPS state where you alternate between BA and RS for a decent output of DPS. This is very easy to enter into because after swapping into him, you only need 2 BAs to start going for the BA->RS->BA loop.
Outro Skill Deals a LOT of damage and can easily be spammed if played right.
Consuming the Forte Gauge by going Striding Lion fills up Concerto by a lot, this happens even if Lingyang is NOT in the field
2nd Attack of Striding Lion mode has a long animation.
Some more details.
The empowered RS, the pounce version, can be "stored" in between swaps, your RS becomes Empowered when BA 3, 4, or 5's last hit, hits the enemy. This means you can go for BA -> BA -> BA -> Swap and as long as the last hit of the 3rd BA hits the enemy, when you get back to lingyang you have empowered RS which you can chain into BA->RS->BA loop.
You can Swap out during the start of Striding Lion's 2nd Attack and when you swap back to Lingyang after the swap cooldown, you will still be in Striding Lion.
You can cancel Striding Lion by jumping, the gauge will still deplete normally and you can go back to up by doing a heavy attack. This is good because if it's too dangerous to stay in striding lion, you can "cancel" it and it will still fill your concerto gauge since your forte is technically still being depleted.
