I'm past being sad, so I'll be coping instead.
The devs hate the idea of playing Orphie with any other attack other than SAnby, thus likely killing the S11/Orphie team.
S11/Lighter/Orphie would probably be alright but unlikely more than that (Orphie is even more saturated on DMG% than S11 is it seems).
Trigger doesn't really play to Orphie's strengths as well, only SAnby does.
However, that being said, Orphie/SAnby/Trigger seems like literally the only purposeful team both Oprhie and SAnby get, as every other combination is weird.
I think hypercarry Orphie will probably work just fine, though.
And here comes the main cope, while I can't really expect S11 to be a real consideration for the devs developing limited agents, I do think that SAnby/Orphie pairing is heavily encouraged by the last few beta versions. And that pairing happens to be Fire/Electric, which historically always was a very poor combination of resistances (literally zero enemies vulnerable to both, most enemies vulnerable to one are resistant to the other). That makes me think that moving forward, Fire/Electric will become a better combo.
Meanwhile, Orphie/Seed pairing was fucking nuked into oblivion. Seed can't extend Orphie's buffs, doesn't benefit from her AA, and she herself can't really buff Orphie's aftershocks (which in the current version of her kit is literally the only thing that does somewhat respectable damage).
But I know that they at least tested out Evelyn with new agents.
So it's a consideration.
And as I've mentioned, Fire/Electric is likely getting buffed in terms of the content available to it.
And if you think about it, Seed likes when the other agent spends energy.
And C1+ S11 can potentially have literally the highest passive ER in the game (without actually running ER% gear) if she's managed properly.
And while Inferno Metal might prefer to have two+ Fire agents, solo S11 still has pretty high uptime for it.
And Seed can generate energy for S11, meaning more EX presses (which Seed's personal kit heavily encourages), so the comparative drop in uptime is going to be diminished.
And there is an OBOL-boo incoming. Who is Fire, i.e. an improved Rocketboo with a passive that does something (because who the hell uses CAs with boos?), but activating that passive requires Aftershocks.
S11 doesn't have Aftershocks. Seed doesn't have Aftershocks.
And in fact, if you think about it, Lighter would make very little sense in a two-DPS team, if he can only buff one of the two.
And Astra will likely be great, BUT, if you think about it, at very least the 1200 ATK part of her kit becomes a bit less desirable in the context of Seed providing 1000 on her own to herself and the partner.
And if you think bout it, there is an agent, who can still do something in a team, where two on-field agents are doing their own thing, who has access to Aftershocks, and who can provide buffs for both S11 and Seed via something other than the already saturated ATK.
Trigger looks perfect there. Not "also good" but actually BiS.
I'm full of hopium for S11/Trigger/Seed team.
It might actually be designed to be a thing.
