The user interface is not such much an issue as is the browser engine. The modern web is effectively an operating system by now, maintaining is requires a huge effort. Mozilla fucked up royally by making the engine non-embeddable. All of the various alternative browsers you see out there are just GUI wrappers around Blink because Blink is so easy to embed in an application. So even though you are not using Chrome itself, you effectively are using Chrome and you will be counted as a Chrome user in statistics. All the Firefox forks have the problem that they are forks. Either they play it safe and follow upstream very closely, at which point there is not much of a difference to Firefox, or they are hard forks which will soon be outdated and insecure.
