Dropping FIFA brand "presents risks" for Electronic Arts, but EA Sports FC expected to perform well >Rumours persist that Electronic Arts will rebrand its best-selling FIFA series to EA Sports FC -- a move that analysts tell us is risky, but unlikely to cripple the franchise's sales. >The rumour was revived this week when journalist Jeff Grubb, as reported by VGC, claimed sources confirmed to him that 'EA Sports Football Club' or 'EA Sports FC' is definitely the new name of the FIFA series. >They are ready to move on, they have another name lined up," Grubb said on his Grubbsnax podcast, adding: "We should hear about it here pretty soon." >This year's release is still expected to be called FIFA 23, as EA's current licensing agreement with the football association lasts throughout 2022. >News that EA might rebrand FIFA first emerged in October, shortly before it emerged that FIFA reportedly wanted to double the cost of its licence to more than $1 billion for each four-year World Cup cycle. >The association also added that it was interested in expanding beyond such an exclusive licensing agreement. Around the same time, it was reported that the publisher had trademarked EA Sports FC. >FIFA is consistently one of the best-selling games every year -- in fact, it's the biggest games brand of all time in the UK. <However, analysts warn that a name change may impact the franchise's success, at least at first. >Dropping the FIFA branding presents some commercial risks but also opens up opportunities for EA," Ampere Analysis' head of games research Piers Harding-Rolls tells GamesIndustry.biz. >The biggest risk, he says, is brand awareness -- especially when it comes to casual FIFA players. The loss of the branding is "likely to undermine sales to a limited extent" due to confusion around the branding. This would be most obviously apparent during the gifting season. >However, I expect EA to divert some of its licence savings to spend big on raising the profile of its new brand and lean heavily on its football industry partners to build awareness," Harding-Rolls predicts. >EA's game is so entrenched that I expect many consumers to follow on with the new version of the game with little difficulty." >Another potential threat he identifies is if the FIFA name is licensed to any other football games, which would cause further brand confusion. >That's a bit of an unknown quantity," the analyst adds. "EA will want to establish its new brand as quickly as possible to reduce the risk from this happening." >It's unclear who might present a rival to FIFA if EA drops the brand. Konami's long-running competitor Pro Evolution Soccer (or PES) has only recently been rebranded to eFootball and transformed from an annual franchise to a live-service free-to-play title -- although this got off to a shaky start. >Meanwhie, Take-Two appears to be gearing up to enter the football space, having splashed $378 million on Top Eleven developer Nordeus. >Harding-Rolls concludes: "Removing the FIFA licence, while undermining some official legitimacy to the game, gives EA better flexibility to innovate within the game and in areas such as esports. In essence, this change gives EA a good opportunity to continue growing revenue derived from the game in the future." >I don't think a brand name change will impact sales considerably as long as the communication to fans is clear," he tells us. "I've probably mentioned a few times before about the continued success of Football Manager changing its name from Championship Manager in 2004. I think avid sports fans play the best sports games regardless of the name as long as the players' names and stats are maintained." >FIFA has traditionally been announced in June, often around E3. However, Electronic Arts has decided to cancel its usual E3-adjacent showcase EA Play for 2022, instead planning to reveal new titles "when the time is right for each of them." https://archive.ph/nh68e Ubisoft ends Ghost Recon Breakpoint updates, working on NFTs for other titles >Ubisoft is no longer making content for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint -- including its controversial NFTs. >The official Ghost Recon Twitter account confirmed that March saw the final update for the game, although servers for both Breakpoint and its predecessor Wildlands will continue to be maintained. >GamesIndustry.biz asked Ubisoft whether this includes the game's NFTs, and received a screenshot from the Ubisoft Quartz website (which is not available in all regions) confirming this to be the case. >The message thanks all Ghost Recon: Breakpoint players who claimed their first Digits -- Ubisoft's term for its NFTs -- adding "You own a piece of the game and have left your mark in its history." >It concludes: "Stay tuned for more updates with features to the platform and future drops coming with other games." The final Digit for Breakpoint was released on March 17th -- just three months after Ubisoft first announced it would be adding NFTs into the game. >The Breakpoint NFTs were in-game items such as trousers for your character with unique serial numbers rendered on them. >One of the most common sales pitches for NFTs is the ability to use your items in other games, although there is no word on whether this will apply to Digits sold in Breakpoint. >News of Ubisoft's entry into selling NFTs was met with confusion and frustration among some of its own staff, as well as backlash from members of the public. >Earlier this year, Ubisoft Strategic Innovations Lab vice president Nicolas Pouard said in an interview that gamers "don't get" how they can benefit from NFTs. https://archive.ph/QuDrE

Classic MegaTen writer and game designer Kazunari Suzuki, a.k.a. "Archbishop Suzuki", wrote a new Buzz-Plus article a couple weeks ago. Yes, it's one of those good ol' roleplay bits where he pretends to summon a demon and discuss politics with him. I ran the whole thing through machine translator DeepL, and made slight corrections in places to the best of my ability. Here it is: https://archive.ph/AQ5a4 "Summoning Serials" MegaTen Archbishop Kazunari Suzuki's House of Heresies Vol. 13 "Putin's War 1" Archbishop Suzuki Archbishop Suzuki: "I summon thee, Unborn! ......Aos! Abaos! Basum! Isaac! Sabaos! Iao! Thou art swiftly come and follow me! Enclosed to King Solomon, the war-calling Marquis of Hell, the Demon God Andras!" Andras "Ggaaaaahhhh !!!!! Burn up the fires of war! Gush out your fresh blood! Come, good old days!" Archbishop: "Great Marquis, do not rejoice so blandly." Andras: "You have no idea! This bloodthirsty joy! The smell of gunpowder, the smell of blood! And the smell of shit flooding my gut!" Archbishop: "What good is that ......" Andras: "Gaahahahahahahaha! I feel good! I will answer anything!" Archbishop: "I have many questions." >Glamorous Carpaccio Archbishop: "Now let us taste this sacrifice. Carpaccio of salmon, squid and sea bass with arugula, Italian parsley, basil, dill and other herbs, served with yellow cherry tomatoes." Andras: "Gah! It looks brilliant! And these red berries?" Archbishop: "Boisble rosé, or pink pepper, as it is called, is a refreshing spice of a different kind than pepper." Andras: "Brilliant! The fish is fresh, but the herbs really bring out its flavor." Archbishop: "Be food for those who taste well." Andras: "Kakaa! I'm satisfied. So, this is about Ukraine, isn't it?" Archbishop: "Yes. What can be done to stop this unforgivable Russian outrage!" >Crushed Putin's ambitions? Andras: "Gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah gah! Sweet, sweet, Archbishop!" Archbishop: "It is true that ...... the war will not be easy to end ...... but ......" Andras: "Gah! Not that!" Archbishop: "What do you mean?" Andras: "You said it was a Russian outburst. In order to stop the war, we must understand why the war started in the first place!" Archbishop: "Isn't that to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO?" Andras: "On one level, you are correct. But why did they decide to invade at this time!" Archbishop: "Isn't it because Ukrainian President Zelensky has said he wants to join NATO?" Andras: "Archbishop, you too have been hit by the TV's poisoned airwaves, though, huh? Starting a war requires careful preparation. Russia has been planning its invasion for years, and the conflict began even before the invasion of Crimea!" Archbishop: "I understand. It is also Putin's ambition to revive a mighty Great Russia, is it not?" Andras: "オオモトはそうだぁ! [DeepL and I were unable to translate that part. What the fuck is an "oomoto"?] It was because of that great Russian illusion that Putin was framed!" Archbishop: "A trap! Who in the world? ...... No way, Biden?" Andras: "Gah, don't be so hasty! Let's start with Biden's relationship with Ukraine."
[Expand Post]>The Biden Family permeates Ukraine Andras: "During the Obama administration, Biden visited Ukraine six times as vice president and built up a network of contacts. And he strengthened his confrontational stance toward Russia." Archbishop: "What? Have we had a connection since then!" Andras: "In April 2014, right after Crimea was taken by Russia, his son, Hunter Biden, became a director of Prisma, the largest energy company in Ukraine. And he was paid $5 million a month, which is extremely unheard of for Ukraine. That's five years for a part-time position!" Archbishop: "Why such a high stipend at ......?" Andras: "Prisma was being pursued by Ukrainian authorities for tax evasion and money laundering, but ...... Biden put a stop to it. In return, the Obama administration gave the Ukrainian government a $1 billion loan, gah!" Archbishop: "Isn't Biden corrupt, why isn't the U.S. Congress pursuing it?" Andras: "The president changed to Trump and he was pursued, but Trump was blamed for threatening Ukraine to get to the bottom of it." Archbishop: "What the hell is going on in America?" Andras: "It's not just the Bidens! The sons of several influential Democrats are on the boards of directors of important Ukrainian companies, gaah!" Andras: "The most important diplomatic post in the Biden administration is awesome, gah." Archbishop, "How is it great?" Andras: "Antony Blinken is the Secretary of State, the Japanese Foreign Minister. His father is a Ukrainian Jew and his mother is a Hungarian Jew. And then there is Victoria Nuland, who is the head of the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs. This woman is also of Ukrainian Jewish descent and is the biggest Russia hater of all! She has been a ball of unprecedented meddling in the internal affairs of Ukraine, entering the country and participating in demonstrations to oust the pro-Russian president! And the current Ukrainian President Zelensky is also a Jew!" Archbishop: "In Stalin-era Russia, Jews were oppressed even more than in Nazi concentration camps. Historically, all of Russia's neighboring countries, such as Ukraine and Hungary, have been treated badly by Russia. Unlike Japan, resentment carries over from generation to generation." Andras: "The human creature is a cute little thing that is quick to forget gratitude, but never forgets resentment!" [Continued in my next post]

>>165911 >Hatred of Ukraine Archbishop: "With such resentment, why would a pro-Russian government come to power?" Andras: "A practical problem guar. Eastern Ukraine, where industry has developed, has a large Russian-speaking Ukrainian population of Russian descent, gah....... There are also deep economic ties with Russia. Furthermore, Ukraine is entirely dependent on Russia for its energy." Archbishop: "So, following the annexation of Crimea, parts of two eastern Russian provinces, Donetsk and Luhansk, will become independent?" Andras: "Putin says this is because the Russian population was oppressed by fascists." Archbishop: "The whole world seems to be decrying it as a hoax?" Andras: "Gaa ...... Know Holodomor?" Archbishop: "No, I don't know." Andras: "It was shortly after the birth of the Soviet Union as a result of the bloody scourge of revolution. Dictator Joseph Stalin had to earn foreign currency in order to turn the impoverished nation into a military power. So he uprooted the Ukrainian wheat and sold it to foreign countries!" Archbishop: "That's terrible. The peasants must have been terribly impoverished." Andras: "In addition, a poor harvest followed, and about 8 million people died of starvation." Archbishop: "Oh, no way. ......8 million! It's hell indeed. ......" Andras: "This is the starvation abuse, the Holodomor, gah!" Archbishop: "Too miserable ........." Andras: "Some girls ate horse manure and were the only survivors." Archbishop: "Rather eat a horse!" Andras: "Under the endless sunflower fields of Ukraine, the corpses of countless starved to death lie gah-gah-gah!" Archbishop: "Stalin is not a man, he is the devil!" Andras: "Don't put us together, gah!" Andras: "I heard that eastern Ukraine was particularly bad, ga. The farmlands where people disappeared were settled by new Russians." Archbishop: "What, huh? So, what are the two independent countries today? ......" Andras: "The descendants of the Russians who settled here, duh." Archbishop: "Let's not hold that against them." Andras: "Who liberated Ukraine from Russia after the Holodomor, when even the devil himself was a donkey?" Archbishop: "From the times, ......, no way, Nazi Germany!" Andras: "Gaga gaga! Archbishop, you're right on the money, gah! German-occupied Ukrainian volunteers willingly incorporated themselves into the German army and happily killed Russians all over the place, gah! The far-right militia organization that is part of that ideological stream is now incorporated into the Ukrainian military as the Azov Regiment!" Archbishop: "So Putin calls Ukraine Nazis?!" Andras: "The regiment's symbol is designed to resemble a combination of the Nazi swastika and the SS insignia, gah! As a corps, it's a small part of the Ukrainian army, but it's enough troops to do bad things in Eastern Ukraine!" (Image of their emblem from Wikipedia) Andras: "It's not just the oppression of Russians by suppressing pro-Russian riots in Eastern Ukraine, dagah! They have repeatedly imported kill0drones from Turkey to kill indiscriminately. In Odessa, an important international port city on the Black Sea coast, they set fire to a trade union building where pro-Russian groups were holed up, a fool's errand that killed 46 people and injured over 200!" Archbishop: "Can't we break the cycle of hatred ......" Andras: "Hatred and fear have advanced human civilization, duh! Mankind must not stop progressing, gah?" >Reasons for the war Archbishop: "So, did Putin really wage war to stop the oppression of Russians in Eastern Ukraine? And are you saying that the abuse is a Biden trap?" Andras: "Gah gah gah gah gah!!!! Sure, it may be a Biden trap, but stopping abuses is only a good cause."
[Expand Post]Archbishop: "We know that Biden was on Ukraine's side. So why are Biden and Putin fighting so hard over Ukraine?" Andras: "That's exactly the point! This war is Biden and Putin's war for Ukraine, gaah!" Archbishop: "Really, it's that simple? If so, the people of Ukraine are too miserable." Andras: "Nevertheless, if Ukraine falls into the hands of the U.S., the tentacles of the U.S. will extend to Russia, which is closely tied to Ukraine, as if infected." Archbishop: "That's true, but doesn't that ultimately lead to economic development?" Andras: "How afraid Putin is of Jewish businesses! The fear of Russians for rich Jews is now a disease, dagaa!" Archbishop: "Not so much?" Andras: "Even the great writer Dostoevsky thought that the money-worshipping Jews would destroy Russia! Putin, too, has been destroying Russia's new Jewish conglomerates one after another, taking their assets and giving the companies to those under his control!" Archbishop: "Then perhaps now they fear revenge by the Jews. ......" Andras: "Russia is a big country, but it is a cowardly country, dagaa! That's where they set the trap. If we lose Ukraine now, we will lose Russia too. ......" Archbishop: "Zelensky's statement that he wants to join NATO, is this part of the trap?" Andras: "NATO membership is already so much written into the Constitution! That's not the point." Archbishop: "What then?" Andras: "Biden has made it clear repeatedly since last year that the US will not deploy on the Ukraine issue, duh!" Archbishop: "Isn't this a glaring trap?" Andras: "They also stopped the military aid to Ukraine that Trump was giving." Archbishop: "Moreover, the continental nations of NATO receive cheap natural gas supplies from Russia, so they cannot strongly antagonize Russia!" Andras: "Yes, Biden's statement can be taken to mean that the US condones Russia's invasion of Ukraine, duh! And now Putin has a clear view in front of him that he can proceed to Ukraine without interference." Archbishop: "Even if it is a trap, we dare to step on it, then step through it and win." Andras: "Thus, the situation is set ...... gah." <Continued in Part 14...> [End of article. I have no idea when he plans to make a "Part 14".]

>>165917 Marine Le Pen, from the "far-right" party (Rassemblement National) is considered to be his biggest opponent, projected to be qualified for 2nd turn with Macron. For some fucking reason, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the constantly pissed off commie from the "La France Insoumise" party is projected 3rd place, while the "Le Pen's a fucking pussy" candidate Eric Zemmour (who wants to fight the Great Replacement, which he mentions constantly), and his newly formed "Reconquête!" Party, is projected 4th, everyone else under that is irrelevant. I do feel like there's gonna be a surprise though, like in 2002. Zemmour's sundden drop in the ratings is unnatural and cannot be simply boiled down to "well he said Putin wasn't gonna invade", because everyone else did, feels all like propaganda.

>>165870 I am deeply tired of americans and their sex obsession. They have heavy phobias or problems or something tightly wrapped around every aspect of sexuality. They're immediately inflexible, irrational and backward, censorious and overbearing. They see sex in every corner, in sensuality, intimacy and openness. Conservatives express this by trying to shame and censor, and progressives fixate on sexual liberation and promiscuity as an optimal state whilst also maintaining some taboos too. It's truly a spiritual sickness.

It's actually worse for FIFA since merchandising makes up 50% of their revenue. >'EA recently renewed its partnership with worldwide professional soccer players union FIFPro, for instance, which gives it the right to use "thousands of player names and likenesses" in its games. And even if it has to give up the FIFA license, it will still have exclusive rights to UEFA Champions League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga Santander, among others.' https://archive.ph/EEXcA

>>165933 It's true though. There is sex in everything, at any time, and if you want to find it all you have to do is look closely enough. What causes this extreme retardedness in how to deal with sexuality is that the anglo centric culture of puritanism, which is still present today after hundreds of years. It's not a problem that everything can and to a degree is sexual - it's that certain groups of people want to force that perception into their political mold. Progressives have tried to push for sexual equity(every sexuality needs to be equally represented or we are bigots), which conservatives use to to project their own sexual insecurities as fear of degeneracy and slippery slop bullshit you keep hearing in regards to anything that isn't straight sex involving people of socially dominant ages/races/etc. Both sides just use sex as a weapon to beat the other over the head with. Bigot vs. Pervert. The only winning move is not to play and make up your own opinion.

We haven't seen a cultural erasure of Native Americans so pervasive since the Christian Missionaries tried to educate the savage out of them. But at least the Christians stuck around and helped out the tribe. Modern progressives steal the native identity for themselves, then make it verboten for anyone else to use it outside of political expedience, or bury it. It took progressives to finally finish the genocide of the Natives. This makes me happy.

Remedy, Rockstar Games to remake first two 'Max Payne' video games >Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar Games announced Wednesday that they will remake the first two Max Payne video games. >In its surprise announcement, Remedy said it will work with Rockstar under a new publishing agreement to remake Max Payne (2001) and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne (2003) for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. >Remedy will handle development of the games while Rockstar will finance the projects, the size of which "will be in line with a typical Remedy AAA-game production." >The Max Payne remakes will be developed on Remedy's Northlight game engine, which is the same engine that was used to create Control and the upcoming Alan Wake 2. >We were thrilled when our longtime friends at Remedy approached us about remaking the original Max Payne games," Rockstar founder Sam Houser said in a statement. "We are massive fans of the work the Remedy team has created over the years, and we can't wait to play these new versions." >The original Max Payne games were a result of a partnership between Remedy and Rockstar, with Remedy handling development and Rockstar Games publishing. Rockstar also served as the developer of Max Payne 3, which was released in May 2012. >Max Payne has always held a special place in the hearts of everyone at Remedy, and we know the millions of fans worldwide feel the same," Remedy CEO Tero Virtala said. >We're hugely excited to be working with our partners at Rockstar Games once again for the chance to bring the story, action and atmosphere of the original Max Payne games back to players in new ways." >The project, which will be developed as a single title, currently is in the concept development stage. No release date has been set. >The original Max Payne series was widely lauded for its neo-noir atmosphere, compelling storytelling and "bullet-time" gunplay, and it also left an indelible mark in popular culture. >In 2008, a movie adaptation -- loosely based on the first game -- titled Max Payne was released, starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis in the roles of Max Payne and Mona Sax, respectively. https://archive.ph/TT0Qj INB4 max Payne 3 removed from canon. Logan Paul's Pokemon Collection Just Earned A Guinness World Record >Logan Paul's self-described obsession with Pokémon cards just reached a new level. Paul has earned a Guinness World Record for the most expensive Pokémon card ever sold at a private sale. In a press release, Guinness World Records stated that Paul obtained an extremely rare PSA Grade 10 Pikachu Illustrator Card following a trade worth $5.275 million. In July of 2021, Paul exchanged a Grade 9 version of the card, worth roughly $1.275 million, and $4 million in cash to obtain his prize. >Only 39 were given out to Illustration contest winners in 1998, and this was a purchase for the only one in the world that has been graded a perfect '10,'" Paul explained. Just before receiving his certificate, he decided to highlight his acquisition on the biggest stage he could find. Paul and The Miz fought Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38 in Arlington, Texas on April 2, 2022. For the fight, Paul wore the card around his neck, a move he has made before at some of his boxing exhibition matches. >This instance stands out, however, due to the high value of the card compared to his previous selections. Logan Paul's Two-Win Night >While Paul has encountered some issues when it comes to his Pokémon card collection in the past -- such as the controversial purchase of a multimillion dollar box of Pokémon cards that turned out to be filled with something else entirely -- April 2 was a night of wins for him. >After landing some impressive moves for his rookie debut, including a Frog Splash, Paul and The Miz ultimately bested the Mysterios. The Miz rubbed Paul's face into the mat to seal his first victory in WWE. Dit is hoeveel een programmeur verdient deze dagen (Zie salarissen hier) >Following the match, a Guinness World Record official awarded Paul the certificate for his record-setting Pokémon card acquisition. "I love Pokémon and the fact that it's been validated with Guinness World Records – this is crazy. >Tonight's a wild night. This does not feel real!" Paul stated. While some might question whether the Grade 10 card was worth the total price Paul paid, he now holds a record that likely won't be broken for some time. >According to the content creator, he had submitted applications for multiple records and spent several years pursuing the goal. This made his double victory that day all the sweeter. https://archive.ph/iNpjk

Ubisoft reportedly working on new battle royale titled ‘Pathfinder’ <It’s been compared to the soon-to-be shut down ‘Hyper Scape’ >It’s been reported that Ubisoft is developing a new third person shooter called Pathfinder. Various sources have spoken to Exputer about Pathfinder, which could also just be a codename for the project. <According to these sources, Pathfinder will be a slightly different take on the standard battle royale format. Teams of four will be dropped into a map before navigating their way through two walls that have a series of breakable and unbreakable gates that must be overcome. >These are randomised with every game. Players will also need to fight AI enemies that get stronger, the closer you get to the middle of the map. >Then, in the very centre of the map, players must defeat an AI boss. Players will take on the the form of a “hero”, each with their own unique abilities. >However, since the game is still in early development, what those abilities are remains to be seen. Pathfinder will reportedly also feature a central hub, where players can use a firing range, join an event area, go to the shops and race various vehicles. >The new title is being compared to the Ubisoft Montreal developed Hyper Scape, which is being shut down at the end of April. Announcing the closure earlier this year, Ubisoft wrote: “We have made the difficult decision to end development of Hyper Scape and shut the game down as of April 28. >We set out to create a vertical, close-quarters, and fast-paced shooter experience, and we are extremely grateful to our community for joining us on our journey. We will be taking key learnings from this game into future products.” >Days Gone director Jeff Ross has announced he has now joined Crystal Dynamics, the studio behind Tomb Raider and Marvel’s Avengers. >As well as confirming that he’s moving to Seattle in the summer, Ross took to Twitter to say “I’m excited to announce I now work at the amazing Crystal Dynamics as design director. >That’s all I can say other than I’m thrilled with the project, and especially the team of really wonderful people.” https://archive.ph/wTVER Ubisoft is reportedly working on another Ghost Recon >It’s looking like another mainline entry in the Ghost Recon series is in the works at Ubisoft. A report by Kotaku claims that Ubisoft’s Paris studio is working on another Ghost Recon codenamed OVER >which appeared on that massive Nvidia leak from last fall. The game has allegedly been in development for over a year and may arrive in 2023. >Kotaku also claims that Ghost Recon Frontline, the free-to-play battle royale very reminiscent of Call of Duty: Warzone, is undergoing an overhaul following fan feedback. >All of this comes after Ubisoft’s announcement that Ghost Recon Breakpoint won’t get additional content updates. Operation Motherland, the game’s final DLC, came out last year on Nov. 2, 2021. >Where the series goes from here is anybody’s guess. Ghost Recon Breakpoint came under fire earlier this year when Ubisoft added NFTs, a decision that left fans quite upset. The company isn’t giving up on blockchain technology despite pushback, either. >If OVER does indeed exist, people outside of Ubisoft’s offices likely aren’t going to see it for a long time. 'PUBG' ban: the eternal debate over video games and violence rears its head again >Video games have long been the poster child of everything that is corrupting young people, and have been blamed for inciting or instigating violence and antisocial behaviour. Last month, Punjab police in Pakistan approached the federal government with a bid to ban the popular online game PlayersUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). >The move came after a teenage boy in Lahore murdered four of his family members, including his mother, “under the influence of the game”. Police said the teenager committed the violent act after he became “depressed” about repeatedly losing in the competitive game and being scolded by his mother for “excessive indulgence". >This is the fourth such crime related to the online game in Lahore. Three young players committed suicide in the past two years, and in its report, police declared that PUBG was the reason for the deaths. >PUBG has also come under fire in other South Asian countries including India and Bangladesh. In June 2021, Bangladesh issued an order to ban “destructive and harmful” games such as PUBG and Free Fire, as they were cited to cause addiction among children. >Similarly, India also temporarily banned PUBG over data-security issues owing to it being a China-based game, but the presiding judge also cited harmful exposure to children and their families as one of the reasons for the ban. >Video games are neutral; it is not the game, but rather the individual human mind interacting with the game that results in negative or positive behaviour >Asha Dullabh, clinical psychologist, ACPN Abu Dhabi PUBG Mobile is notoriously popular in South Asia. The game doesn’t require a large memory space on the phone or a high internet bandwidth, bringing it within reach of youngsters in low-income countries. >This is in contrast to multiplayer shooting games such as Call of Duty, which are mostly played on more expensive PlayStation and Xbox consoles. >Arguably, one other reason for the enduring popularity of these games in developing countries is the lack of accessible recreational activities for youths, which compels them to overindulge in games that can be cheaply and even illegally downloaded. >Banning such games without providing alternative avenues, then, is a band-aid solution and could lead to more maladjustment and mental health issues in already at-risk youths in developing countries. >Banning a game will only result in youngsters seeking it out with renewed fervour, say experts. Bloomberg Banning a game will only result in youngsters seeking it out with renewed fervour, say experts. >Bloomberg I do not feel that a ban would have a long-term effect, rather it will result in more reactivity from society and consequently create more chaos,” says Asha Dullabh, a clinical psychologist at ACPN in Abu Dhabi, and founder and former director of Therapy SMART, a multidisciplinary family clinic, in Cape Town. >Video games are neutral; it is not the game, but rather the individual human mind interacting with the game that results in negative or positive behaviour,” she says. “When one can’t get something freely in life, one would get more intrigued to acquire it, breeding more clandestine behaviour, and more secrecy and silence, which is a breeding ground for reactive behavioural responses, >resulting in a counterproductive process.” Excessive gaming is a maladaptive coping mechanism and banning PUBG ignores socioeconomic factors such as loss of jobs and economic hardships during the pandemic, which makes adolescents turn to video games as a means of escaping tense situations. https://archive.ph/5yW9U

>>165916 >>165942 From what I remember, that raft was apart of an almost dead culture thanks to Spanish inquisitors, it is thought that the El Dorado myth comes from it because of a specific ritual they had with a specific lake, where the guy would be coated in head to toe in gold dust/flakes and dive into the lake and come back up something (I forget what exactly). Hence Golden Man, what ended up happening is that lake had a shitload of gold in it so the Spanish wanted it, same thing always happened, and they couldn't get the gold out of the lake. They attempted to get the gold but had problems and failures every step of the way, way later some people decided to try to drain the lake so they essentially cut a mountain in half to get to the lake bed, the problem that happened then is that the lake bed became essentially concrete thanks to baking in the sun, so yeh any and all attempts to fuck with the holy site have been meet with disaster and failure so don't fuck with it. As for how that golden raft managed to survive, it was hidden out in some cave really well and forgotten to the ages of time and was only re-discovered.

That's why you shouldn't keep all your eggs in one basket. As for (((Proton))) I'm aware it glows in the dark but I can't be bothered to go through the effort of trying to get a Cock.Io invite and literally anything other than Yahoo of course is typically going to be a slight improvement. Tutanota is obviously a far superior option but the whole having to log in every six months or your account gets wiped thing is very inconvenient for my lazy ass, yeah I know that's a security future but it's not one that's particularly useful to me which is why I personally don't use it, at least not for shit I care about losing access to. >>166140 We looked at setting up our own email service for anons once, but found out that there's a whole slew of international treaties and laws that specifically target email. There's literally no country you can host in where you're not subject to data demands or seizures from pretty much every government on the planet, and there's requirements on how long you have to secretly retain all of the emails (typically one year) even if the user thinks they deleted them. One host straight up told me the would block our email service ports but open them up once we had established "law enforcement access parameters." Basically I would have had to give backdoor server access to an accredited law enforcement org, and that org would confirm to the host that they had a valid backdoor, and then they'd let us open up the server. Get fucking fucked. We still might do a private email server just for the site because most of this shit only applies to email servers that are open to the public, but I saw and understood why Hotwheels chose to piggyback his 8ch emails off of cockmail instead of setting up his own back in the day.

>>166129 >Mozilla is diseased. Rotten to the core. There's no saving it. We need to pull it out by the tool kit roots. Wipe the interface clean. DELETE IT! And from the ashes, a new Firefox will be born! Evolved, but untamed! The soydevs will be purged, and the privacy respecting will thrive - free to live as they see fit, they'll make the Internet great again! The user interface is not such much an issue as is the browser engine. The modern web is effectively an operating system by now, maintaining is requires a huge effort. Mozilla fucked up royally by making the engine non-embeddable. All of the various alternative browsers you see out there are just GUI wrappers around Blink because Blink is so easy to embed in an application. So even though you are not using Chrome itself, you effectively are using Chrome and you will be counted as a Chrome user in statistics. All the Firefox forks have the problem that they are forks. Either they play it safe and follow upstream very closely, at which point there is not much of a difference to Firefox, or they are hard forks which will soon be outdated and insecure. There was a Servo project, a new web engine developed by Mozilla. It was meant to be embeddable and might have become an alternative to Blink. Mozilla has killed the project and it now sort of lives on as its own thing. Maybe it will get somewhere, but probably not. Hope for the best, but expect a typical pozzed Rust community. https://servo.org/ I am still using Furryfucks because all the alternatives are worse. If I were to switch to one of the Chromium-based meme browsers I would at least spoof my user agent to still count as Firefox. That way at least I don't contribute to the Chrome statistics.

Sounds good. >you were wondering why World Masterpiece Theatre stuff looked like proto Ghibli >it's because Miyazaki and Takahata worked there before forming Ghibli It really shows. Watching Ghibli-like content in a longer format is really cool at least. Thanks for the recommendations. Groom-to-be kicks best man out of wedding over his ‘sexist’ video game smack talk: ‘You handled it really well’ >A groom-to-be kicked the best man out of his wedding after a video game session went wrong. He asked Reddit’s “Am I the A**? (AITA)” forum to weigh in on the issue. >One day, his fiancee, May, beat his best man, Andre, in video games multiple times. Andre was such a sore loser that he trash-talked May, so the Reddit poster kicked Andre out of the wedding. >I am engaged to May,” he said. “My best friend Andre is the best man. May is a huge anime and gamer nerd. >We’re all gamers, but she has, like, every system under the sun. May and Andre have always gotten along, but they never actually hung out near video games together. >I had him and two of our other friends over for a couple beers and cigars. Andre heard May turn on her Switch, and he asked if she had Super Smash Bros.” >“I warned Andre that he was going to get trashed, to which he made the comment, ‘Girl gamers don’t scare me.’ >No, May did not hear him. Well, May suited up with Yoshi, and she annihilated all of [my friends] without trying. >I could see they were frustrated, so I proposed we do something else. Everyone except Andre was done with the games. He proposed they play Tetris. And, once again, Andre lost. Hard.” >But the Reddit poster was horrified when he overheard Andre and his friends talking about May. May told the guys she was going to take a bathroom break and put her headset down,” he explained. >I asked May if I could play the next round. She agreed, and I put on her headset, only to hear my friends talking trash about her. >They were saying things like, ‘Why are girls such try hards’ and ‘She’s good at gaming, but I bet she couldn’t make a sandwich.’ >Now, they didn’t know I was there, so I spoke and told them to shut up. Andre laughed and said they were ‘just joking,’ and I said that’s not funny, and what if May came back and heard them? He said it’s just ‘gamer talk,’ and I said it wasn’t. >Andre told me I was being an a** and dragging down the group. He also told me they wouldn’t be talking smack if I told May to stop trying so hard. Long story short, after an argument, I kicked Andre out of the wedding.” >Redditors supported the fiance’s decision. They are being sexist because their egos are hurt by a woman being better at games than them. >You handled it really well, and you were right to call them out,” someone wrote. https://archive.ph/p7hcv What we learned about COVID-19 safety from a NYC anime convention >As Kristin Meyer set up her merchandise booth at the Anime NYC convention last November, she was sure she’d be exposed to the coronavirus at some point during the three-day event. >Getting that many people together in one spot, the chance that absolutely no one had COVID was zero,” she says. >Meyer was one of hundreds of artists who paid for a space to sell their art in the convention’s Artist Alley. Many signed up, despite getting a cold or the flu, bronchitis or pneumonia at previous fan conventions. >Actors who voice popular characters speak on panels and meet attendees for autographs. Media companies offer exclusive previews of their upcoming releases. >In the Artist Alley, attendees buy anime-inspired prints, charms, buttons and other custom-made merchandise. At an event like Anime NYC, artists can make as much as $15,000 in a weekend, says Daniela Muino, an artist who traveled from Texas with her partner to the 2021 convention. >People physically seeing your art in front of them” is great for sales, Muino says. The greatest draw of Anime NYC for many attendees is connecting with other fans. >A hobby typically considered niche takes over one of the country’s largest convention centers — the Javits Center and drives a three-day party in and around the venue. >Even in the midst of a pandemic, the 2021 event drew a record 53,000 attendees from around the United States and 30 other countries. >People were clearly drawn to get together. “Self-isolating rules are vital [in a pandemic],” says Robin Wollast, a psychology researcher at Stanford University. >But “they also undermine deep-rooted needs for social bonding.” In-person events can be crucial for mental health, he says, despite the health risks they pose. >Attendees aware of those risks were not surprised when news broke in early December that the convention may have been a superspreader event; one of the first U.S. cases of COVID-19 due to the highly contagious omicron variant had been traced back to Anime NYC. >The shock came later, in February, when the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that, in fact, omicron had not spread widely at the convention. >Anime NYC may offer some lessons for making large events safer now and in the post-pandemic future. Heroes wear face masks >A successful COVID-19–safe event requires layers of protections that align with the community that the event is serving, says Mark Billik, founder of BeCore, a marketing agency that pivoted to organizing COVID-19–safe events during the pandemic. Billik recommends that his clients tailor their COVID-19 protocols for their events and he offered suggestions for future fan conventions (see Page 25). >Advance communication may be particularly successful when it’s tailored to a community and drives “enthusiasm about creating a safe environment,” El-Mohandes says. >For instance, the next Anime NYC could provide masks with the faces of famous anime characters or post signs that show these characters encouraging distancing and frequent handwashing. >Using anime characters to promote safe behaviors is an example of classical conditioning, says Wollast, the Stanford psychology researcher. In classical conditioning, people learn to associate a particular stimulus (like wearing a face mask) with an unrelated stimulus (a favorite character) to drive a particular behavior. “My heroes are wearing face masks so I should wear one too,” Wollast says. >a group of three people wearing wigs and costumes holding artwork with the crowd in the background >Friends shared their Artist Alley merchandise spoils at Safety beyond COVID-19 Along with avoiding COVID-19, Anime NYC attendees who spoke to Science News noted that they also avoided other respiratory illnesses. >Less people have been sick that I’ve heard of this year, than any other convention that I’ve ever been to,” Daifei says. >Maybe a cold or flu doesn’t have to be a necessary evil of attending conventions or similar events. COVID-19 safety measures probably contributed to an unusually low number of flu cases in the 2020–21 season, according to the CDC. > Leaders in the events industry are considering safety measures that build on lessons from COVID-19 — such as new technologies to improve ventilation and cleaning protocols — to reduce future outbreaks of flu and other infectious diseases, according to the Global Biorisk Advisory Council. >Some Anime NYC attendees hope to see continued handwashing, mask use and policies that encourage people to stay home when not feeling well, long after this pandemic recedes. >All these practices are “very applicable to non-COVID respiratory infections,” El-Mohandes says. Such safety practices may also make large events more inclusive for immunocompromised people, many of whom already had to avoid crowds for their potential to spread infection before the pandemic. >I feel like this is something that we can actually keep doing,” says Nicole Tan, an artist who shared a booth with Daifei at Anime NYC. The pandemic inspired a widespread realization that “we could have prevented a lot of illness if we just put our minds to it.” https://archive.ph/fGE5z

>>166296 Hey, there's a question. Why does analog horror never translate well to video games? There's some beautiful stuff done in static media (Local58, Gemini Home Entertainment, Monument Mythos, etc.) but video games are always "LOL LOOK AT MY VHS FILTER ON A MEDIUM THAT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN PLAYED THROUGH VHS." >>166302 The only trouble is in determining what.
>>166232 >It's why youtube dmca is complete garbage. Ironically, Jewtube isn't the one at fault for how the DMCA system is setup. It's actually congress because they wrote the law in such a manner that, as long a website takes down content when received a copyright notice, they cannot be sued for any purpose. Meaning that Jewtube cannot actually do anything to solve the issue because the issue is the law, ITSELF.
>>166305 >Why does analog horror never translate well to video games? Because analogue horror has to be set in a very deliverate way, you need to see what the creator wants you to see when he wants you to see it or else it misses the effect. Take for example "youre in the fastest available route", 90% is literally nothing, but without that nothing setting the mood, the final sequence doesnt have the desired impact. You cant have that in a videogame because the player will want to fuck around, its what we do, so youd have to force the player to see things at the pace you want it and when you want it, and thats fucking annoying because noone wants to play a movie.
>>166304 >all because they tried to play fed informant to get him arrested, Regardless of how I feel about Acid that will never stop being funny as those fuckwits got what was coming, them crying on every board and being mocked was also hilarious.
>>166307 >the player will want to fuck around, its what we do That's a very good way of putting it. The ability to even try to see something before you're meant to would ruin the feeling. With something like Polybius, the mere act of knowing of its existence outside the personal context of "Huh, here's a weird game I found; I wonder what it's about..." would destroy the illusion. Even Frog Fractions only works if you think it's a kids' game about math. Knowing anything else ruins the "setting."
This reminds me of 2015.

>>166307 >Because analogue horror has to be set in a very deliverate way, you need to see what the creator wants you to see when he wants you to see it or else it misses the effect. Pretty much the same reason that traditional humor falls flat in games, because the player controls the pacing - meaning that you can't setup for a payoff effectively. Some heavily scripted genres can get away with it, like Adventure games, precisely because they're so heavily scripted - but anything that's more free-form with player agency tends to just fall back on "quippy" one-liners and voice over dialogue independent of gameplay. Horror in games can work, but you can't approach it the same way as you do in other mediums, and is much more heavily reliant on environment (including resource scarcity) and audio cues - unless you just want to be lazy and rely on jump-scares. I'm not a huge horror game fan, so my opinion may not mean much, but Silent Hill 1-3 are still the gold standard IMO.

Anyway, if we assume a government that doesn't exist solely to exterminate the native population, there is a single legitimate reason to maintain a deep storage of chіld pornography. It breaks down into a few subpoints. 1. To obtain the hash for every individual image. By doing this, you can have a database of known bad hashes which server software can simply automatically block from being posted at all. 2. To run the images through deep learning software, training an algorithm to find out what is and is not Democrat activismography, and also to train the algorithm to detect very minor changes made to existing images (to bypass hash blocks). One pixel out of place would change the hash, but an algorithm trained to "see" the image itself would know it's the same image. 3. To maintain the originals simply because new technology may be invented in the future which requires originals to operate. Before the last 10 years, "deep learning" algorithms basically didn't exist. If an honest government had generated hashes for all the images they collected and then deleted the images, they wouldn't have had a database on which to train said algorithms once they began existing. But all of this is just a thought experiment, because we don't have an honest government.

At least from the clearnet. >>166324 >torment the player with dwindling resources and forcing him to make risk-benefit choices like resident Evil The funny thing about RE is that you can cheese through the game very easily, causing it to lose all of it's horror aspect. I figured this out after finding Rebecca, where I saved in the room with her; then went running around the mansion without worrying about health or ammo wasted in the process just so that I can figure out where everything is and in what order it should be done. And, then load the save for real and try to do everything in the order that I planned beforehand. >or fuck with him on a meta level like silent Hill and eternal darkness. I plan on replaying it soon, but I never understand wow Eternal Darkness was considered to be "one of the greatest horror games ever". The game's just as scary as The Suffering; and, if given the option, I'd rather play that. Now, if you want to talk about good horror, F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point takes all the horror from the main game, that was enjoyable but mostly a gimmick, and capitalizes on it big time (Especially to the credit that the horror isn't the first-person aspect of it, like so many other first-person horror games build their entire premise on). >Man i really wish i could get into game design. What do you mean? There are DOZENS of tools out there to get you going. "Build you own" games like Dreams, LittleBigPlanet, Super Mario Maker, Mega Man Maker and the like give you an already built engine while leaving the level creation to you. There are programs like GameMaker, Clickteam Fusion, RPG Maker, and NESmaker that require you to just create original assets with a "drag and drop" interface to game design and development. And, if you still want more control as an intro, there are lightweight coding programs like Ren'Py and SmileBASIC.

Or posts from or responding to the dedicated trolls/schizos like Luciano that we've gotten more of lately. >>166259 I think the main reason you attracted some complaints about posting about anime here is because you explicitly brought it up and called it the hangout thread. But it's hard to complain too much about occasional and high-quality posts that aren't causing big derails, shitflinging, or schizoposting.

Europe as a whole used to be as liberal about this as France, but many countries were gradually Americanized through media, including taking on the extremely emotional attitudes towards muh pedo the US and its major cultural neighbors(Canada, UK, Australia) has. France was always a little resistant to this trend of accepting American values, one example of which being that they didn't even teach English in schools for a time after 9/11. He claimed he didn't have the rights to send back the Electoral Votes to the States to properly certify them (because ALL the Swing States plus 2 more had sent dueling votes, which means they sent both votes for Trump AND Biden), which Congress is now considering removing the VP's power to do so. That's the real redpill of the election, there isn't 2 parties, there's ONE. One party of oligarches that play pretend opposition for each other and collect donations. Look at the Bush-era and how many Democrats claimed to oppose him, but voted for the Patriot Act. Look at now, how Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell claim to oppose Biden, but vote yes on the "Infrastructure" bill and on the appointees. That's the real reason the RINOs wanted Trump out, he was ruining their racket. Now they can claim to oppose Biden and get all those sweet political donations. Too bad Trump's SuperPAC made more than the RNC and DNC combined.

Neck's also been fattened to hide adam's apple but the shadow of it is still there below the chin. The breasts aren't real, they're plastic inserts with a nipple design (nipple juts out on the left seam of the coat) and wouldn't be visible as bumps if they weren't hard plastic. The hair is also full of mismatched extensions that don't fit the fray of the hair from the head. On top of that aside from the extensive makeup there's extreme acne scarring across the face and the nose is extremely big even for a black female. Acne that bad could have been caused by horomone treatments. The hairline has also been reshaped, possibly balding. Most people could see it without needing to articulate it though, it's practically innate. That's a man, baby.

Off topic but I'm wondering are there any Henshin Hero based video games that are rpgs? Transforming into various forms with unique abilities does sound like something that could work for an rpg but hardly any games utilize the concept in that way since most games that fit that description are platformers of some kind. Mainly taking strong inspiration from the Megaman franchise.

Hell sometimes I get amber alerts form my smart phone that direct me to Twatter. 2: they receives many government subsides in Silicon Valley that a lot of other tech companies don't and often times Twatter doesn't even pay taxes at all because it's one of the few corps the IRS turns a blind eye to. 3: whether I like it or not and trust me I really fucking hate it but Twatter is basically the globes public square so it should absolutely be a free speech center. New Battlefield 2042 Update Met With Backlash >A new Battlefield 2042 update from a DICE developer over on the EA Forums has been met with backlash. >There's a lot wrong with Battlefield 2042. It doesn't matter what platform, you're on, there are performance issues, bugs, missing features, and a lack of post-launch content. As a result, the game has been quickly losing players, and it's in danger of losing more if it doesn't fix the game's spawns. >That said, right now, it doesn't seem fixing the game's spawn is a concern at DICE. Over on the EA Forums, one fan pointed out that the spawn system needs improvement. >To this end, they noted it would be great to have the ability to disable force spawn and see where they are going to spawn before they do better. >Adding to this, the player also suggests they'd like to be able to spawn in their team's vehicles. Responding to this, a verified developer confirmed that while spawns are being reviewed, there's currently no active development or plans for the gameplay system. >As you would expect, this response isn't sitting well with fans. Given all the things that get continually confirmed as 'not something we're working on/discussing yet'... >what is the team working on? Because honestly it doesn't sound like they're working on very much given what's been publicly communicated so far," reads the first reply. >"It sure feels like there's only a skeleton crew left to look after 2042 right now and like the priority for the studio is the next BF that the team moved to, not finishing 2042 and delivering the product that y'all marketed to and sold us on." >You should very quickly pivot to address the forced spawn and vehicle spawns," reads another unhappy reply. >"All that happens at the start of the game is the enemy air vehicles come and kill everyone who is AFK or changing their loadout. Moving the spawn locations and flags won't stop this." >The quick update did little to garner a positive reaction, with the two responses above just the tip of the iceberg. >That said, it's what Battlefield 2042 players are going to have to settle for. It's unclear how many developers are still working on the game, but the slow post-release support suggests not many. >And if reports are true that the next Battlefield game is already in development, then none of this is very surprising. >What we do know is that this month a huge update is coming, but it looks and sounds like the update will do nothing to address the game's spawning issue. https://archive.ph/QTsij Halo: Master Chief Face Reveal Backlash Is Ridiculous >While there may be complaints about Halo's big Master Chief reveal in its premiere episode, it's not nearly as egregious as certain viewers think. Warning! Spoilers ahead for Halo episode 1. >While Halo's premiere episode features a Master Chief helmet reveal that's bound to be controversial, the largest complaints are blinded by nostalgia and the experiences from the video games. >While Master Chief's face is almost always hidden from players throughout the game franchise, Pablo Schreiber's Master Chief removes his helmet and shows his face in the new Paramount+ series. >However, this shouldn't be as egregious or shocking as some viewers are making it out to be. In the first episode of Halo, Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 leads Silver Team as they fight back against Covenant forces who've attacked a colony on the world of Madrigal. >While the team of UNSC SPARTANs managed to secure a mysterious and powerful artifact the Covenant was hoping to obtain in the aftermath, Master Chief's physical contact with the object led to the restoration of some of his childhood memories, which had been erased by the SPARTAN program's Doctor Catherine Halsey. >As such, John-117 was motivated to defy his orders to kill the lone survivor of Madrigal (an insurrectionist named Kwan).: >During this time in the first Halo episode, Kawn managed to pull a rifle on Master Chief. In response, John-117 removes his helmet to gain her trust, having decided to protect her from the UNSC. >As such, Master's Chief face is seen quite clearly for the rest of the episode, serving as one of the longest durations Master Chief has ever been without his helmet on-screen (including in the games). >While this may lead to complaints from certain viewers, it's important to note that this isn't the first time John-117 has taken his helmet off. >Not only has he removed it in various novels and tie-in comics, but certain media projects such as the games' live-action trailers have featured a helmetless John as well. >Even a cutscene unlocked by beating Halo 4 on Legendary mode featured glimpses of Master Chief's face. >While complaints are to be expected and are understandable given the significance of the moment, translating the Halo games to a live-action series format arguably necessitates John's face being shown. >Halo-Master-Chief-Taking-Off-Helmet-Pablo-Schreiber There's an inherent yet often misunderstood difference between the player/character relationship experienced in a video game, and the more passive one between a viewer and character in a live-action tv series. >The benefit of having Master Chief's face largely hidden in the games was that it allowed players to feel as though they were Master Chief, aided by the first-person gameplay format. >In contrast, Paramount's Halo features a Master Chief who truly is John-117, making his own choices and decisions independent from those viewing the events of the series. >As such, it makes much more sense for him to remove his helmet when the need arises, even if it had been the first time - which it wasn't, as seen in past canon Halo projects. >Master Chief is not Din Djarin from The Mandalorian. No creed prohibits him from removing his helmet (though it does seem to be a slight breach of UNSC protocol that he's ignored). >At any rate, complaints about John-117's helmet removal will be inevitable due to the nostalgia of the games, and there's bound to be controversy. However, the aforementioned nostalgia is an obstacle, blinding viewers to the simple fact that Master Chief's depiction needs to reflect the new medium, and John-117 removing his helmet in this first episode of Halo is a part of that. https://archive.ph/Cib8B

>>166515 Master Chief doesn't need his face to be seen. The helmet is what's iconic. His voice is what's iconic. Even then he rarely speaks more than he ever needs to. The point is he's a stern super soldier programmed to get the job done with precision. Then there's the matter of the show completely ignoring any game canon of story events, timeline, race, technology, worldbuilding, characterization, history, & even the fucking armor. Everything's wrong. None of it's accurate. It can't even keep itself consistent. Why do miniguns do nothing to elites funneling into a compound but the second Chief uses them they're suddenly effective? So all these arguments on Chief's character is moot because the show isn't even representing Chief or the world accurately to established canon.
>>166515 >fans of the series don't want to see arbitrary bullshit invented by people who aren't the creators, but rather unrelated people who came into a 20 year franchise out of the blue <LOL STOP BEING UNGRATEFUL And they wonder why the show is doing poorly.
