OPERATION MAX REVIVE Rebuild the board's userbase and activity through simple, but effective methods 1. Post across the entire board Activity creates activity. Use threads you like, make new ones if topics don't exist. Easy examples are Drawthreads and Friday Night threads, go request or draw something right now. 2. Recruit and recover lost or potential anons Use this site's OC and features to entice anons if necessary when recruiting, just inform that we are alive. Here's some sites and links with at least some confirmed anons that can be recruited again: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chotwheels https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SSAVCH https://steamcommunity.com/groups/video_games https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chmohun https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chan_monster https://steamcommunity.com/groups/GoodLuckEbolaChan https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8ch.net https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8chan Other sites that might yield fruitful results and have anons (art sites use an account so you can see 18+ content):
[Expand Post]https://www.deviantart.com/search?q=Vivian+James https://www.newgrounds.com/search/summary?suitabilities=etm&terms=Vivian%20James https://twitter.com/search?q=Vivian%20James&src=typed_query&f=image https://rpgcodex.net/ https://old.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/ Somewhere on Telegram Just searching up GG or 8chan-related terms on certain places/sites can get you possible results. 3. Make your own OC/Memes/Content Doesn't matter what it is even if its just simple edits or full-on drawings or webms, just make it and have fun. Ask in thread for software recs if necessary. 4. Encourage or create fun events, activities, projects, etc. Think things like 8chanmania, weekly streams, re-translation projects, demo days, or zzz's gaming magazine for example. If you want to do something, try making or reviving it, it can't hurt and these things are great for the board. 5. Use other boards All it takes for a board to grow is at least 2 dedicated anons using it. Don't be afraid to make a post, check places periodically, shill, or what have you. Don't force discussions to boards, just encourage the usage of them. 2. OPERATION TRAJAN: Collect and catalog all of the various localization and censorship accounts of past video games into a single repository from these sources: romhacking.net The_Cutting_Room_Floor/tcrf.net Segaretro.org https://redirect.invidious.io/channel/UCFItIX8SIs4zqhJCHpbeV1A Examples: http://archive.vn/XQOHW Sony's policies forces censorship; JP devs allegedly have to go through ENG approval process: https://archive.fo/awzFF - Japanese blog post about it: https://archive.fo/bF9bE Sony Japan President Says PS4 Censorship Policy Is To Match Global Standards And Protect Kids: https://archive.fo/U3GLa - Confirms censorship was deliberate: https://archive.fo/XgAgP - No rules for censorship policies, games judged case-by-case: https://archive.fo/37DhK - Marvelous partner starts petition against policy: https://archive.fo/rxQtf https://archive.fo/84UHo • Twitterfags: Tweet with Sony's stock code $SNE so that investors see your tweets and know you're pissed. • Consider spreading OP Timber materials to targets as well: http://archive.vn/URjtu ONGOING TASKS: A. >>887071 Could've said what it's from, you lazy faggot. Judging by recent release news and the character's blue hair, guessing the Baten Kaitos remaster?
>>330966 I'd have hoped enough news would've reached this place to know for sure, but yes the left is the GC and the right is the Switch port/remaster. >>330965 Don't mind if I do.

>>330988 Pretty sure they say it was the greek statues were painted.

>>330988 Rome was for the last 200 years before Constantine in a total state of civil unrest and societal collapse, among other factors caused much to be lost save for, those who kept shit safe or those who stole. >But muh Christfags! I know you want to whine about how Christians Somehow ruined Rome and etc, but the Germanic tribes so thoroughly fucked up Western Rome, and the constant attacks to Eastern Rome from Slavs and Muslims. Only furthered shit getting lost to the winds of history, Rome's fall was a multitude of different factors, much which you see today in the west.
>>330988 >when someone says roman statues were painted Nobody but you has said this. Why are you bringing up this topic all of sudden?
>>330991 My bet is pagan larper shit, I've learned recently that 4/pol/ niggers keep coming here to posts slobby seconds, of slide threads that get buried in the massive amounts of threads there.

>>330992 >>330991 >I've learned recently that 4/pol/ Topic indeed surged again because 4/pol/ indeed made thread about death threads directed at original professor claimed factor of paint. But was there proof from greeks themelves that statues were painted or otherwise? Those people wrote more paper than most dedicated egyptian priests.

>>331010 >I wish we could return to the good old days where it was filtered through a japanese man instead I for one welcome our new robot overlords.
>>331011 For the way he phrased it, it's implied the base pic is CP and the original poster only used an img2img filter; but the only way that can be proved is to compare it with a CP database or something, which is not possible for several reasons. >>331007 No offense, but I find it very funny the lack of self awareness of some /v/ posters who think: >hispas only post on Spanish speaking boards and that's bad, they shouldn't do it When half of /v/ could fit on /t/, /tg/ and /a/ and when this entire thread has barely anything to do with videogames whatsoever. I bet they are the same guys who defend they don't go to other boards by arguing "people want insta exposition, something they don't get on other boards". As much as I hate the average hispa user, their boards are not as centralized as /v/ is, so there's way more place to organize stuff and if you don't like the way someone moderates you can pick a different board.

>>331013 >For the way he phrased it, it's implied the base pic is CP and the original poster only used an img2img filter; In that case, he should explain what makes him think these images aren't just the result of random models and prompts combined. I managed to trace the images back to threads on ATF where the authors mention the models used, and after downloading the original images I got the prompts used from their metadata, which IMO are enough to prove these images aren't the result of applying a filter to photos of minors. I can post the links and prompts found if you care enough about this dumb argument to keep replying.

>>331027 I presume it's the new Baten Kaitos remaster.
>>331026 >But see, the leftists are the REAL underdogs fighting the power. I think the average leftist has that mindset because they are always at odds with the managerial level above them. The difference is that leftists think ideologically and the managerial class think economically. In any business/enterprise, the management will always apply the first rule of business: don't put yourself out of business. It would be easier if management just said 'Look, if we apply all your leftist policies, we'll all be out of a job.' Leftists don't understand how that works though, and would probably shout about oppression or patriarchy or something like 'Class struggle'. It's sort of irrelevant now thanks to ESG funds, but the free handouts don't last forever.

>>331035 This is partly what's happening with the Hollywood strikes. The ESG money isn't covering the massive-ass losses from the woke flops and the strike is being extended by the studios as a pretext to force majeure a bunch of projects and at least TRY to purge the woke infection.

No discussion is better than a flood of broken English posting on English boards, and people posting in Spanish regardless of the board's native language. All telling the spics to flood the English boards would accomplish, assuming they actually did so instead of telling you to fuck off, would be to bring down the quality of the board with masses of posts that most of the board natives will ignore. Leave the Tacos to their taco boards. Get English users if you want more activity on English boards.

>>331049 >>331050 My only issue with them isn't actually with them at all but the situation where the Latinx :^) half of the site is/could become a more benign version of the Q shit on old 8. Specifically I mean that they become the main focus and other parts of the site population get ignored.
>>331051 >>331050 Actually, I had an idea on how to salvage this, but it requires Codex ever being on IRC so I can shill it to him I do agree that it's rather bothersome how we have basically a splinter imageboard on our own turf, but I am also sure that a lot of the hispanons also cross post here when they can
>>331051 >they become the main focus and other parts of the site population get ignored. That's retarded; members of global administration frequently visit this general, it's the most consistently active part of the site, and it was outright founded and (with money from Mark). If you really want to claim anyone has risk of becoming the Qboomers of 8moe, /v/ would be the one to worry about, it's why people are getting asshurt about low activity in the first place (though they're blaming the idea that everyone's too lazy to branch out instead of the fact we fundamentally just don't have the users to go beyond /v/).

>>331053 >>331054 I have this theory ohai on how board communities naturally propagate. Simplifying it for example, you start with a single board with a very generous tolerance for topics. Almost a /b/. Within that board many different kinds of people congregate. Over time certain threads become dominant, and these attract new users to the board, because these active threads contain most of the content. Over time a given thread may reach two criteria, first that it moved away from even the loose core purpose of the board, and that its community of regulars is big enough to be self sustaining. It is that thread, and that community, that then gets its own board. Extrapolating over time, the scope of the big, original board can narrow down as the side-topic megathreads "bud" off of it into independent board communities. Its all rather plant-like. Taking primordial 4chan as an example, the site started out as nothing but /a/ and /b/. Anime and "everything else." It was over time as subcommunities got established in repeating threads on those boards that they spun out onto new boards that moot made for them, because their threads and communities grew big enough to warrant them. A regular thread full of faggots talking about vidyagames on /a/ became /v/. The anime porn thread community became /h/. Etc. and so forth. Trying to force-imbue a bunch of tiny communities together, or worse trying to forcefully split off a budding thread community before its truly big enough to be ready, are very likely catastrophic and ultimately fatal mistakes. Unfortunately due to the diaspora situation and tbh pretty justified utter lack of trust in any kind of imageboard administration that we got handed in the aftermath of old 8ch's fall, along with the retarded competition for eyeballs that Discord is dishing out in the "younger than your grandma" demographics, we have this sort of in-between model where the site is really too big for its breeches in terms of quantity of boards, but open board creation is part of the deal so we're holding the wolf by his ears, so to speak. It hasn't been a flop, as we've been able to help the hispas and hindus and even /fascist/s for a while and you're all here and I wouldn't take any of that back. But yeah its suboptimal IMO. Edited a typo.

We reached the same conclusions, mate. I think we should see if some of the generals on /v/ can stand as their own boards, at some point. The problem with board creation is that it just makes people too anxious to make their own thing instead of garnering users over time.
(174.20 KB 928x1232 Asuka smoking 3.jpg)

>>331056 Part of the problem is scale. You don't want to split off a megathread until it reaches a content volume that's straining what one thread can hold. That point is the natural cue that the subcommunity needs its own board. As much as I love #GG, these threads take 2-3 days to fill up most of the time. Not bad for a comfy general thread, but put that activity in the middle of an empty board and it'll appear dead. I AM NOT DOING THIS, IT IS PURELY RHETORICAL: A hypothetical solution would be to purge all the dead and inactive boards off the site, including all the ones (you) love and would be mad about losing, and then rolling back board creation. Not fully restricted, but more like "on request, by mutual agreement of the admins and prospective BO that the board is truly needed". And then create the biggest General Discussion board in imageboard history, that's just wall-to-wall megathreads with threadwise rules each covering the different of a million topics and let users new and old go nuts. And then implement the "budding off" strategy there, spinning up new boards as required. There'd be several problems of course. We'd have to advertise it and leverage the [[CURRENT YEAR]] generation, which would be hard to do without resorting to shit that would make anons sick. Millennials and Zoomers are cockroaches, and cockroaches are attracted to shit, I'm sorry to say. Before you can make anons out of em, you have to lure em in the door, and anons would notice the proverbial smell, big time. Then we'd be rolling back one of the core things that defines "8chan" in spirit, which is the open board creation system. We'd get an earful about that, to be sure. And then there's the site itself. Youngfags live on their phones, so get ready for that Mobile Friendly(tm) UI everywhere. Instant posting memes like Discord! Private boards with VIP passes so you and your DnD group can talk about smoking weed where your parents can't find you! :^) A bunch of fucking cancer, basically. Imageboards as they currently exist have lost the "mandate of heaven" that is "being in line with the public sentiment of 'cool' within energetic, younger demographics who produce the most content." You know what 4chan is? It's where a 14 year old goes, fills out 15 captchas to post 80085 from his phone's calculator screen so he can claim that he posted with the infamous hacker 4chins once, and then he goes back on Discord via his phone to brag about it. And probably update his hormone dose schedule. I'm pretty convinced that halfchan only exists today because of the staying power of the brand. It's "Edgy" the way Hot Topic is edgy - in a safe, parentally controlled and harmless way, and that kind of edge still has allure to the bullying-aloof, Xanax-ed up phone addicts who are the ones making memes on the Internet in 2023. The unironic shitposters and faggots used to be the white noise in the background, and now its us.

>>331057 >A hypothetical solution would be to purge all the dead and inactive boards off the site I have been pushing for this for quite a while now. >>331058 >So like anon.cafe/server/ except with real humans posting on them? No, it'd have to be much worse. We'd be bucking the tiger and the only way forward would be to go all in. That board, and what it represented, would come to represent 90% of the site and remain that way for a long time. Everything from the advertising to Lynxchan itself would have to be rigged to prop it up and grow it. Individual boards would become footnotes by comparison, at least until a critical mass of users was reached. I'm saying 100% unequivocally that it would be a bad idea. Not only would we be betting the farm (your farm) with a very real chance to kill the whole site outright, but even if it succeeded, you'd likely find yourself (and me myself) displaced by newfags so soft they'd make Reddit look hardcore. All for what? A 1000% increase in Zoomer memes that we all hate anyway? A bigger number on some other site's web traffic index chart? Lots of people to talk to except you cant stand any of them? Anons were freaking out when like 3 guys from soyjak posted here for 1 day, and I find their shit less annoying than most other "young people humor" I encounter online. Look, I guess the reason I bothered to post about it at all is just to remind everyone that we do think about these sorts of things. Quite a lot. And it gets discussed regularly between the admins and various BOs including Mork. But the situation is so shit online now that we've never come up with any maneuvers that could realistically get us, and you, where we actually want to be instead of either a ghost town or plunged into the 9th circle of Zoomer Humor Hell. If we ever do then believe me, it'll be plastered all over the site.

>>331070 Part of the change will rearrange the entire tor system for the site, and give us a lot better ability to filter and control file posting there. Its actually a side effect of making the site more "bunker-ready", but it'll mean that the inevitable 4am CP-spam-via-Tor will be easier to catch, control, and moderate. >>331072 Its a recurring monthly expense, probly adding around $200.00 to our current bills every month for all of it. >>331059 You want to recreate the conditions of old 4chan? Pre 2007? You can do so, Acid. But you arent looking at the big picture. Sure if you simply advertise and get the old 4chan capacity here, you'd have "zoomers" and underageb&s who contribute nothing of substance. But like I said, you need to recreate everything about old 4chan, including what it relied upon most and allowed it to thrive and create good content without immediately turning into reddit or facepunch: Its Barrier of Entry. Think back before everyone had a computer in their pockets. What kept third world niggerbrains and most zoomzooms from finding 4chan? Having a computer and knowing how to use it. This weeded out a lot of the chaff of the world. It was more of a hobbyist thing than an everybody on earth thing. So if you want to get quantity and quality in equal measure, you need to recreate those conditions. What, by destroying phones and ipads all over the world? No, by making the site harder to access. Make it a gauntlet, a trial by fire to even find the site and use it. Had you asked me years ago, I'd have said you could do this simply by making the site TOR-only and hosted only on TOR or Lokinet. But you need only look at the state of lainchan and krautchan to see what that leads to. Pedos seem to be a new problem if you ask me and someone can correct me if im wrong. Worse yet, they are more computer savvy than most. Or they tend to be, at least. Was cp as common an occurrence on old 4chan as it is now, here? In any case, there needs to be a barrier of entry in order for good users to be allowed to thrive and on their own.
>>331079 > In any case, there needs to be a barrier of entry in order for good users to be allowed to thrive and on their own. We've thought about that too, but we have two counterexamples in 08chan and any site ever on Tor that wasn't silkroad or adjacent. People will put up with barrier entry bullshit for things of value, but not for mere discussion spaces however free speech oriented they are. Hell some of our most active BOs run their boards from their phones. No lie. I dunno how the fuck they do it. But no, barrier to entry will only make the problem worse. I do come from the generation where the net was a separate world that you visit for a few hours a day. Everybody now, including the "smart" people, breathes the fucking thing in the air. >Pedos seem to be a new problem if you ask me and someone can correct me if im wrong. A CP bomb showing up in a thread to cause chaos was something that happened occasionally on imageboards for as far back as I can remember. "The ultimate disruptive shitpost" is what I saw an anon call it one time. What's new is the weaponization of it. Not as one-off acts by trolls but in concerted campaigns to destroy sites and communities, sometimes organizing pedos together for that purpose. We've seen them try it here for three years, sometimes against this very thread.
>>331079 >>331081 How about giving users the ability to upload files only after having made a few posts first, or browsed the site for x minutes? Not each time of course, just as a one off thing.
>>331082 Also not a bad idea, but also a backend thing. =/ Anything involving post counts or authentication tokens or any of the very few things that Lynxchan even can track about you to make those kinds of determinations is gonna be handled in the backend. Its why we needed him for TABS.

I don't necessarily oppose requiring boards to be requested rather than just spun up on demand, but I don't think it would accomplish anything besides weeding out truly bad faith boards. It wouldn't generate the kind of forced centralization you are looking for. At least not with the activity levels this site currently has. You're correct in your assessment that a certain degree of forced centralization does improve activity. For example we don't need 18 indiviudal hentai boards for every single fetish denomination in existence. But at the sites currently level of activity it's irrelevant whether or not people have the ability to decentralize themselves excessively because there aren't even enough people that know this site exists for that behavior to make a difference. Any changes to how board creation is handled would need to be coupled with a major and well calculated advertising campaign. And on the note of advertising, I think that removing completely open board creation would lose the site one of its only selling features. I think centralizing activity should be done on a more cultural level, and I think people that make boards that encourage a wider range of topics would organically rise to the top anyways because activity begets activity. >>331087 >pedokikes The way you consciously avoid saying the word nigger is hilarious. Borrowing a page from traps aren't gay discourse, I'm aware there are people who are only attracted to males in a 2D sense, to the point that actual sexual encounters with males disgust them on a visceral level. Said males have still exhibited interests in 2D males(even ones that retain masculine traits with a blend of feminine ones) after these experiences. They are rare indeed, and in theory one could find a 3D male that would overcome this gap for them, but that would be exceedingly difficult. >>331124 This is basically the argument that I was making up above. To append to it, I think there's a massive cultural void in what was once the "anon-like" population of the Internet. Basically the people most like us culturally are in their late 20s and up for age, and everyone (exaggerated but not by much) in the younger generation is some variant of phoneposting soybot. Whereas you can take in 5000 of the former "proto-anons" and keep 500 and have a great community with 4500 okay lurkers, you'd need to sift 100,000 soybots to find 500 anons, and then you're swarmed with 99,500 soybots. I probably could have worded that better, but unlike Pedokike we actually sleep, make breakfast, and have lives. >>331127 >>331128 Never was sure if it was a tactic of some kind or if certain niggers who can't take the L just get that obsessed about it. I member revolt used it explicitly as a tactic - basically stalk and shit up the entire thread every time I posted so that anons would associate me with all the shit they would do in the hopes that anons themselves would run me off to have "peace and quiet." Pedokike's a dipshit though, and usually works alone whereas those guys had numbers. It didn't work in any case. I think he's just that special breed of aggressively retarded.

Dudes literally deluded himself into thinking we care about his paraphilia and child exploitation fetish and owe it to him to reinstate it. >>331057 >A hypothetical solution would be to purge all the dead and inactive boards off the site, including all the ones (you) love and would be mad about losing, and then rolling back board creation. I'm OK with this. There are dozens of abandoned test and bunker boards, and while they don't take space in the HDD, they make the site look like these Chinese megacities with almost no population. Boards that had some activity before ultimately dying could be put in a read-only state until they get a new BO, so their content isn't lost in the purge. >Not fully restricted, but more like "on request, by mutual agreement of the admins and prospective BO that the board is truly needed". I doubt any of the current BOs will agreed to losing control over their boards. >And then create the biggest General Discussion board in imageboard history, that's just wall-to-wall megathreads with threadwise rules each covering the different of a million topics and let users new and old go nuts. And then implement the "budding off" strategy there, spinning up new boards as required. I had the same idea a while ago. Making a "4/vg/ but bigger" board where each thread is a general about a different topic, allowing users to discuss their hobbies without worrying about maintaining an entire board. Too bad I had the idea when 8moe had over 50 different boards, lol. BTW, you need to rework (or remove, preferably) your compendium. Not only 3/4 of the things mentioned on >>>/site/4481 aren't listed in the global rules page (pretty much the only thing that matters in the end regarding moderation), but they aren't enforced at all outside /v/ and /b/, making the whole thing pointless. >>887439 >By the way, how DOES an AI algorithm generate child models, without a child? Uh-oh, someone isn't looking at their weiner ingredients! >feed AI all of Google images until it understands that children are like small adults >feed AI all of Pornhub until it understands what naked adult bodies look like >(optional) feed AI some loli hentai to give it a better idea of the things you want to do >make it generate something with the prompts "child, nude" >AI knows what naked adults look like and that children are small adults, so it combines both concepts to generate something naked like the adults in porn but with the proportions of the children in Google images >repeat until it produces something the guy making the prompt likes it >make a model using this new knowledge >use it to further train and improve the AI >spam the results on /v/ for lulz >???? >Profit! And that's how AIfags are making realistic loli without technically breaking the law. Unless you specifically train the AI with photos of a particular person or command it to make the results resemble the "inspiration", the results will be a combination of all the things you trained the AI with, not based in anybody in particular. That's why retards are being caught with "AI CP". The fools are making deepfakes of real children that can be identified, triggering one of the corner cases of "fictional CP" (the one about using the likeness of a real minor to make fake porn of them) that still can get people jailed for producing and possessing pizza.

I've finally got an update on the Western Game Chart 2.0 I see that the old thread for it is FINALLY anchored, good riddance. This will be quick, so here are some bulletpoints: *This is taking forever due to partly communication issues between me and my Graphic Designer. I'm riding his ass now to make sure he will finish this before the end of this week. *Final design is in, including the introduction slide and Legend/Genre Icons *If you followed the thread, you know how the actual slides for every year look like. Will attach a WIP right here, final design is slightly different. As a reminder, this covers games from 1992-2023 *As far as who this chart will be send to, I reached out to as many content creators as I could. Most don't care, but a few have shown interest. I will spread it in as many places as I can myself, the few content creators that will receive the chart are thankfully rather relevant and will hopefully get some eyes on this, too. *Japanese portion of this chart has been CUT: I have been unable to get a proper translation I am happy with, which would be moot anyways since the Japanese DO NOT CARE. I talked to many of them, and the idea of a chart made by western piggus for them simply doesn't resonate with most of them. They do NOT need to be spoonfed what to play, so instead this is a general ENG chart aimed at as many people as possible. Where Westerners go, they follow, so if this chart actually gains ground, I am sure they will see it anyways(I will still post it in the original sites I intended to, that includes JPN communities, for what that will accomplish) . *Western Video Game theme is still present. In truth, making it aimed at JPN exclusively was a dumb idea from the start, so here is to hoping generalization and spreading it where it actually matters will give it better success than the 1.0 version of the chart. I will update the actual chart thread once everything is done, but since it's bumplocked it's for formality only. I don't usually go to GG threads, but I assume the nigger who started this whole project is still bothering the threads with that stupid chart of his every other thread, so this will hopefully shut him up for good. I'm hoping that out of all the autism he brought, something good can come out of this, at least.

The partnership explicitly cites Karl Marx and Critical Race Theory in their plans. MUST READ: ?? 2/ Many have noticed that AI today has a distinct woke, leftist bias. Systems like ChatGPT and Bard have taken clear positions on political and social issues. This is very concerning. As @elonmusk put it "The danger of training AI to be woke – in other words, lie – is deadly." 3/ However, an investigation by AAF has uncovered a serious contributor to this trend: the @PartnershipAI. In 2016, Amazon, Google, Facebook, IBM, and Microsoft founded the "Partnership on AI," later joined by Apple, the Ford Foundation, OpenAI, IBM, Adobe, the ACLU, and others. 4/ According to the Partnership's former Chief of Staff @sjgadler (who now works at OpenAI - maker of ChatGPT) Big Tech firms which are usually competitors formed the Partnership because none of them had the "political capital" to get away with doing what they want to do alone. 5/ According to the Partnership, “we need to be sensitive to the possibility that there are hidden assumptions and biases in data, and therefore in the systems built from that data" partnershiponai.org/about/#mission https://archive.ph/x66BH 6/ In 2022, the Partnership published a “Making AI Inclusive” white paper.. According to the paper, “These principles build upon the work of many thought leaders in the fields of Indigenous AI, feminist HCI, crip technoscience, data justice, and critical race theory who have... 7/ ...far more substantial publications discussing the importance of these dimensions.” https://partnershiponai.org/wp-content/uploads/dlm_uploads/2022/07/PAI_whitepaper_making-ai-inclusive.pdf 8/ In one workshop on "Algorithmic Fairness," a Partnership researcher (who now works on AI at @Sony), @alicexiang, warned that their "techniques" could be "interpreted from a legal perspective as being forms of 'affirmative action'" and recommended ways to get away with it. 9/ At another workshop on "data colonialism", Professor Nick Couldry stated that "code's operations necessarily reproduce the neocolonial conditions of the their creation" 10/ Couldry also told tech firms that AI developers should follow the teachings of Karl Marx. 11/ At a workshop titled "Towards a Critical Race Methodology for Algorithmic Fairness", Google AI scientist Emily Denton - who appears to have become "Remi" Denton (they/them) - said that AI must "focus on the processes of racism" instead of accepting facts about different races 12/ "They/them" also claimed that "race is central to algorithmic fairness" 13/ Not surprisingly, the companies that founded and bankroll the Partnership follow its recommendations. @Microsoft's (which is backing OpenAI) website blames white men for AI being "biased" https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/industry/microsoft-in-business/business-transformation/2020/09/10/diversity-inclusion-and-responsible-ai-are-now-the-bedrock-of-bias-prevention/ https://archive.ph/gEO1a 14/ At @Meta, "In the context of AI, our Responsible AI team has developed and is continually improving our Fairness Flow tools and processes to help our ML engineers detect certain forms of potential statistical bias in certain types of AI models" https://ai.facebook.com/blog/facebooks-five-pillars-of-responsible-ai/ https://archive.ph/OSN5a 15/ According to @Google's website, "AI has the potential to worsen existing societal challenges — such as unfair bias" https://blog.google/technology/ai/google-responsible-ai-io-2023/ https://archive.ph/VOUnp 16/ Google also says "Addressing fairness, equity, and inclusion in AI is an active area of research, from fostering an inclusive workforce... to assessing training datasets for potential sources of unfair bias... Google is committed to making progress in all of these areas." 17/ https://ai.google/responsibility/responsible-ai-practices/ https://archive.ph/L3x7r 18/ The woke don’t sleep and never miss an opportunity to seize more power. It is vital that the American people are made aware of what is happening before it is too late. [Expand Post]>This post is about the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) headed by Lina Khan, a Biden appointee, and their incredibly aggressive pursuit of Elon Musk and Twitter >As detailed below, the FTC has engaged in conduct so irregular and improper that Ernst & Young (“EY”) the independent assessor designated under a consent order between Twitter and the FTC to evaluate the company’s privacy, data protection, and information security program “felt as if the FTC was trying to influence the outcome of the engagement before it had started.” >These efforts included dictating to EY “very specific types of procedures that they expected” EY to perform and “[conveying] expectations … about what th[e] results should be before [EY] had even begun any procedures.” >A private litigant who engaged in such conduct might well be facing charges of witness tampering. As the Plaintiff in this civil enforcement action, the FTC should not receive preferential treatment. There simply is no way to square the striking record of bias recounted above, along with other evidence described in this motion, with any semblance of the impartiality, due process, or equitable conduct that the law requires from administrative agencies like the FTC when they act pursuant to court-authorized and -supervised consent orders.

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2023-09-18/last-exit-revolution >The next large left-wing movement was #MeToo, borne from GamerGate. Angry, dissatisfied young men of the millennial and zoomer generation, sick of being perpetually demonized as the villains of identity politics in their heretofore male spheres of gaming, as well as mainstream culture and (for zoomers) in classrooms and colleges started voicing their anger. #MeToo was the elite response, a broadside of thinly veiled managerial supremacism under the guise of feminism. #MeToo was exclusively bourgeois, exclusively moneyed, and incredibly politically influential. From 2015-2018, #MeToo accelerated the reconfiguration of American politics, journalism, media, culture, and the Overton window of mainstream discourse. Identity politics was no longer just an obscure instrument to destroy class solidarity in OWS: It was now the official civil religion of the USA, a replacement for Christianity. No aspect of #MeToo addressed any kind of material inequality, wealth inequality, property ownership, land ownership, or other traditional popular concerns. Around this time, the word 'populist' became a pejorative: a perfect summation of the total capture of leftwing politics by wealthy, white collar, sanctimonious, and overwhelmingly female managers.
Speaking of 7th entries, how about Ace combat 7? >>331189 >>331198 >>331199 Like a Dragon is Yakuza 7, Sega decided to use Like a Dragon from now on. The ones that are being worked are Like a Dragon Gaiden and 8.
>>331207 AC7 unironically saved the franchise, so, i'll give it a pass and maybe call it a blessed entry, after the disaster of 6, Assault Horizon, and that AC that was Live Service and his servers closed in 2018 if i recall correctly. Also, AC7 is a really damn good game, and Kobayashi Made a Right call holding up everything until Daredevil was composed and added to the Game. >Like a Dragon is Yakuza 7, Sega decided to use Like a Dragon from now on. >>331198 >Is it good? Or are You talking about "like a dragon"? Yakuza Like a Dragon is the 7th game, yes. It's always been Like a Dragon in Japan. It was called Yakuza here until after that game, which dropped the number and added the LaD title and now all the western games are Like a Dragon, but they're not numbering them here and are just giving them subtitles. Doesn't change the fact that in Japan that was Like a Dragon 7. And yes, I think it's fun.
>>331198 >Care to elaborate? I feel there's a relative drop between 1+2 > TSA+3 in writing and gameplay qualities, mostly likely owing to the 10+ year gap, and I just don't think the same mojo is there for a hypothetical Killer7 sequel to feel proper given it's been dead even longer. With Suda deciding to put them in the same continuity given Badman's backstory, I also have a fear that, since they decided to put the two in the same continuity via TSA, it might suffer "alter itself to be like the more popular sibling series to attract casual faggots" syndrome in the same vein as SMT+Persona. (I admit might be an irrational fear but I've seen too many series homogenize themselves not to be cynical)

Localization strikes anime yet again. >Sentai Filmsworks Replaces The Term “Lolicon” With “Problematic Age Gap” In Their Localization Of ‘Dark Gathering’ Anime https://archive.ph/GvxCV >In continuing their cursed attempts to conflate the Japanese term with the concept of being an outright pedophile, Sentai Filmworks has replaced the word ‘lolicon’ with the social media buzzword-reeking “problematic age gap” in their English language localization of Dark Gathering. >As discovered by fans upon its September 11th simulcast on HIDIVE, the edit in question was made to the Dark Gathering anime’s tenth episode, ‘Across Japan’. >“A God should be at least 500 years old, in spite of that, you’re taking a 20 year old girl as you’re bride,” she taunts in turn. “I don’t feel like I can lose to a lolicon god.” >However, thanks to notorious English language localizer Katrina Leonoudakis‘ own political ideologies, Sentai Filmworks’ presentation of this moment replaces Yayoi’s original declaration with “I’m not going to let some god and his problematic age gap beat me.” >Conversely, the series’ other licensor, Singapore-based anime distributor Muse Asia, translated the scene more accurately to creator Kenichi Konmdo’s original dialogue, with Yayoi asserting, “I don’t think I would ever lose to some lolicon god.” Just know that the woman who changed this is the same person in charge of the P3 Reload localization.

>>331230 Wait until they find out that in the very first chapter, as soon as they first met, 16 Bulma tried to prostitute herself to ten year old Goku by trying to show him her panties and let him touch her pussy (over the panties) so that he'd give her his Dragon Ball. Then later that night, while Bulma was sleeping, Goku took off her panties because he found it weird that when he tried to sleep between her legs, like he did with his grampa, he didn't feel any balls. He reacted to the sight with great shock. The next day, they met Master Roshi, and Bulma again tried to prostitute herself by showing Roshi her panties in exchange for a Dragon Ball, but since Goku had taken her panties off, she instead flashed him her bare pussy. Shortly after, Goku meets Chi Chi, who is seemingly about his age. The first thing he does is grab her by the pussy, because he was still shocked that when he touched Bulma's pussy, she didn't have balls, and he didn't believe her when she told him that all girls lack balls. He thought she was lying and just had a horrible deformity. Anyway, Chi Chi liked it, and shortly after makes Goku promise to marry her. She then comes back eight years later to force Goku to keep his promise, only to find that he was simply retarded (literally, due to being dropped on his head as a baby and suffering catastrophic personality-altering brain damage) and didn't know what marriage was, but she forces him to marry her anyway, and bears a child for him less than a year later. Basically, Chi Chi raped a retarded 18 year old. But she's a girl and he's a boy, so I assume the people complaining about these images would be okay with that. Anyway, about a year after Goku met Bulma, when she would be 17, she then tried to whore herself out to the telekinetic not-nazi, General Blue, but it didn't work because he is a homosexual (and therefore also a pedophile, as we learn shortly after, but it's not played as an extra twist, it's just played as a regular gay joke, because Toriyama knows gays are pedos). After escaping from Blue, we learn that Bulma was hiding a dragon ball in her pussy. She then pulled it out in front of Goku and Krillin, and Krillin notes the smell (which is notable because not long earlier, Krillin beat a guy called Bacterian, whose power was smelling bad, because Krillin lacks a nose and thus couldn't smell him). Then shortly after that, when Yamcha was fighting the invisible man, Krillin pulled Bulma's shirt off directly in front of Roshi, flashing her tits at him so that Roshi would have a projectile nosebleed, covering the invisible man in blood and thus letting Yamcha see him. Twenty-three years later, Goku is now wise to the fact that Bulma is a total whore, and he attempts to whore her out to the ancestor (from 14 generations ago) of Kaioshin, the top (surviving) god in the Dragon Ball universe's pantheon (but not the multiverse's pantheon), in exchange for that (former?) god handing out a powerup. Though Bulma is 40 by this point, and it's well established that she's a fucking whore that left her first boyfriend, who she had been with for over 15 years, for the guy who killed him (or had his underling do it, but whatever), I don't think these people complaining about fanart of a canonical scene in Dragon Ball would care that she's a 40 year old bitch, and would still say Goku should be cancelled for attempting to whore her out the same way she tried to whore herself out to his own ten year old self the very first time they met, even if it was for the sake of saving the universe. >tl;dr: I can't wait until SJWs try to cancel Dragon Ball. UN High Level Meeting Approves ‘Historic’ but Non-Binding Declaration on Pandemic Preparedness and Response https://healthpolicy-watch.news/world-leaders-agree-to-historic-but-non-binding-declaration-on-pandemic-preparedness-and-response https://archive.ph/wip/wWgcA >NEW YORK CITY – A long awaited political declaration by UN member states on more effective pandemic preparedness and response was approved at a High Level Meeting on Wednesday – without the political objections raised by 11 member states last week clouding the process. >The declaration is a milestone insofar as it signals recognition by the world’s heads of state that pandemic threats are existential threats, much more than simply health emergencies, said Carolyn Reynolds, co-founder of the Pandemic Action Network, which has pushed for a broader approach to pandemic preparedness and response since the onset of the COVID pandemic: >“Pandemic prevention, preparedness and response is so much more than a national health issue; it is a national and global security and economic issue. Like climate change, pandemics are a global systemic risk and existential threat to humanity, and we need to treat them as such.” WHO power grab continues. Soon they will be able to declare pandemics whenever they feel like and every country will have no choice but to comply.

>>331351 I really liked All You Need Is Kill & Death Note but after finishing Platinum End I was just put into a really sour mood for the mangaka's works. (3.03 MB 1280x720 ALERTA MACACO.mp4)

>>331350 I don't recall the aliens bit but the rest of it makes perfect religious sense: because god willed everything into being, his death would mean he could no longer sustain reality. Kinda like that Kevin Smith movie Dogma, if god is ever contradicted, all of reality goes up in a poof of logic. I don't like the ending myself, but more because it feels like a massive 'what was even the point of anything' result rather than any religious subtext.
>>331351 Literally voices basically saying "Well the experiment's fucked" after all life on Earth vanishes. It doesn't though because God in this context is a title position & not literally all omnipresent or eternal. Any human who wins the death battle could have become God.

These women or their supporters are also exploiting the Peter Pan syndrome of zoomers and late millennials, as well as thiccfags and oedipal-adjacent fetishists to create support where there otherwise wouldn't be, because they aren't fundamentally opposed to being lusted after, they just want to enforce it within their chosen demographics. >>888269 >Raise the driving, drinking, smoking, sex, and voting ages to 25. >>331416 >because shit diets, introduced toxins, and birth control abuse has caused the average western women to hit or approach the wall about 3-7 years faster than normal. Not just 3-7 years, it's approaching near twice as fast than the normal time women hit the wall and menopause just like so many men start having heart diseases and go bald from their 20s these days instead of starting in their 40s and as the trends used to show when the average life expectancy of mankind started rising, when they were nearing their 50s. Humanity somehow managed to regress so much, people commit slow harakiri with the shit lifestyle they have instead of pushing on and remaining younger for longer, given all the medical advances done regarding ageing such as: >Live healthy >Run/walk every day >Do not consume products with additives and weird conservatives <Fucking everything these days, even the water, is so full of chemicals you'd actively have to live in the desert to avoid all that <"Why exercise bro, just buy a car lol" >Raise the ages of driving, drinking etc. You know, considering what the other anon said as well, and how these things were treated back in the day, with the sense that a person was already a fully unctioning adult by 17, regardless of what the law said, it seems like raising that age limit is the only way to tardwrangle most of society nowadays. However, recent data also show the beginnings of troubling generational health patterns that could hamper the future prosperity of millennials, and in turn the prosperity of the U.S. If the current pace of decline in millennial health continues unabated, the long-term consequences to the U.S. economy could be severe. >Millennials now make up the largest share of the U.S. population and labor force, placing them at the heart of U.S. economic growth as consumers, workers, and business owners. How their health plays out in the years ahead will determine not only the overall health of the country, but also its potential economic trajectory. By using Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Index data to analyze these questions, we are able to take a much broader and forward-looking view of these impacts relative to previous studies. In our examination of millennial health patterns we have found several interesting and concerning findings, particularly regarding future impacts on healthcare costs and economic activity. <1. Millennials are seeing their health decline faster than the previous generation as they age. This extends to both physical health conditions, such as hypertension and high cholesterol, and behavioral health conditions, such as major depression and hyperactivity. Without intervention, millennials could feasibly see mortality rates climb more than 40% compared to Gen-Xers at the same age. <2. These accelerated declines will result in greater demand for treatment and higher healthcare costs in the years ahead. Under the most adverse scenario, millennial treatment costs are projected to be as much as 33% higher than Gen-Xers experienced at a comparable age. <3. Poorer health among millennials will keep them from contributing as much to the economy as they otherwise would, manifesting itself through higher unemployment and slower income growth. Under the most adverse set of projections, lower levels of health alone could cost millennials more than $4,500 per year in real per-capita incomes compared to similarly aged Gen-Xers. Such impacts would be most likely concentrated in areas already struggling economically, potentially exacerbating instances of income inequality and contributing to a vicious cycle of even greater prevalence of behavioral health conditions. >These findings should serve as a call to action among policymakers and the healthcare community at large to address declining health among younger Americans before the more severe consequences in this analysis become reality. If nothing is done, the impacts could be game changing for the U.S. and its economy.
>>331418 >Millenials somehow having worse health than Xers and boomers who did crack cocaine and their wrestlers took some of the most severe bumps and fought in wars <Somehow worse health despite better healthcare and no need to fight in wars Fucking unreal. >These findings should serve as a call to action among policymakers and the healthcare community at large to address declining health among younger Americans before the more severe consequences in this analysis become reality. If nothing is done, the impacts could be game changing for the U.S. and its economy. Of course it would. We're probably seeing it on a worldwide scale with the current generations of Z and the A gen coming up. Something else I'm starting to see among millenials and gen z people is that they rapidly age in such a way, you'd easily think they are 10 years older than they are; a lot of the time when youtube pushes their latest content slut to me, I hear the voice and see the face on the thumbnail and think it's some 30 year old man doing stupid kiddie shit but it's a young 20 year old looking older than me somehow.

>>331461 Except the ad actually shows people eating and enjoying the food, so while it does not specifically show hamburgers it is attempting to trigger a sympathetic hunger response which is logical for an advertisement for a business that sells food. Also, the Japanese politician featured therein was assassinated and is thus incapable of directly pushing his preferred policies through meddling in private enterprise. Finally, even if the above were not true encouraging birthrates also encourages growth in potential customer base meaning that they actually would sell more burgers if they encouraged people to start families and have children. >>331462 Erythrism arises among all civilized and uncivilized human mtDNA haplogroups and can also arise via mutation thus we cannot claim a specific race is shown from hair color alone. Additionally, interracial in the context of this site only refers to negro/other and most typically to negro male/caucasoid female so we cannot classify the advertisement as such at least by this site's standards since no characters with negroid skin tones are depicted.

>>331480 I can never tell if he's taking off the sunglasses or putting them on.
>>331481 It's from "They Live", the story is about a dude who accidentally finds out there's an alien race living in earth disguised as humans, a host-parasite situation. They are planning to terraform the planet by raising its temperature with pollution, but they need humans to do it for them since it would be cheaper, so they would need humans to reproduce at least for a while. >>331481 It's the movie "They live". For example each dollar bill has the message "this is your god" printed on it. The main character finds a set of sunglasses that let him see through the illusion as long as he is wearing them, hence the meme. The Muslim conception of the universe is of an interminable chaos that doesn’t work according to stable, universal natural laws which can be understood by mortals. It behaves–and can only be understood–by the whims of Allah. Allah can do anything, even produce an effect without a cause or a cause without an effect. This means Muslims believe understanding nature is ultimately impossible. Not only that, but to try to do so is blasphemous. Reliance of the Traveller explains how incredibly easy it is to be considered an apostate. > “Among the things that entail apostasy from Islam are: > 4. to revile Allah or His messenger > 5. to deny the existence of Allah, His beginningless eternality, His endless eternality, or to deny any of His attributes... > 6. to be sarcastic about Allah’s name... > 7. to deny any verse of the Quran or anything which by scholarly consensus belongs to it or to add a verse that does [not] belong to it > 8. to mockingly say, “I don’t know what faith is.” > 14. to deny the obligatory character of something which by the consensus et Muslims is part of Islam > 15. to hold that any of Allah’s messengers or prophets are liars, or to deny their being sent > 16. to revile the religion of Islam > 17. to believe that things in themselves or by their own nature have any causal influence independent of the will of Allah > 18. to deny the existence of angels or jinn or the heavens > 19. to be sarcastic: about any ruling of the Sacred Law > 20. to deny that Allah intended the Prophet’s message to be the religion followed by the entire world > There are others, for the subject is nearly limitless.” >~ Reliance of the Traveller, O8.7, excerpt Ah, I see >>331616 has posted most of what I was going to add.

>>331616 >17. to believe that things in themselves or by their own nature have any causal influence independent of the will of Allah Saying that this means scientific research is against Allah is just uncharitable, not that muzzies deserve charity. This statement is no different than the belief that God made everything and thus all that happens is His will. It's not incompatible with science when you can just say that the current laws of the universe are God's will. Most of the rest of that shit is pretty anti-science though. The rest of that about the Islamic "golden" age is about how the Muzzies both did nothing original, and those that did those unoriginal things weren't muzzies and were persecuted by them. This isn't what I was talking about at all though. There's a widely spread claim that the Muslims preserved Greek texts during a time in which they were shunned in Europe, before the text were brought back to Europe later. This idea is supported by your cap as it speaks of Muslims translating Greek works of philosophy, math, natural sciences, et cetera. I'm not giving the Muzzies credit for "saving the Greek knowledge" just like I'm not giving Christianity credit for not killing the scribes and burning their works at times. It has less to do with the religion and more to do with who happened to be in power at the time, as rulers don't always strictly follow their own religion. Even the Christian church didn't always follow its own religion, indulgences and whatnot.
>>331622 >This statement is no different than the belief that God made everything and thus all that happens is His will. If I drop a rock, and say it falls because of gravity, Islam gives me a death sentence. Christianity just looks at me like I'm a bit slow, going about dropping rocks and making idiotic statements about observable reality. The two are not similar, let alone the same. >The rest of that about the Islamic "golden" age is about how the Muzzies both did nothing original, and those that did those unoriginal things weren't muzzies and were persecuted by them. The point was that almost all "muslims" held up as the great thinkers of the islamic golden age, were questionable on at least one count of being great thinkers or muslim. Those who didn't get to be considered "great thinkers" during the "golden age" were significantly less impressive. >There's a widely spread claim that the Muslims preserved Greek texts during a time in which they were shunned in Europe, before the text were brought back to Europe later. Well, the muslims sacked Alexandria, in Egypt, and Constantinople, in Europe. That's where they got the Greek texts, and why those places stopped producing Greek texts. They weren't "shunned" in Europe, the Greeks just weren't producing and selling them anymore. >This idea is supported by your cap as it speaks of Muslims translating Greek works of philosophy, math, natural sciences, et cetera. It actually speaks of Greek dhimmi - a population you levy special taxes on and are required by Allah to enslave or murder as soon as your military can manage it - translating the texts for the muslims, and the muslims disregarding most of it, other than shiny baubles and selling reproductions the way the Greeks had been. >I'm not giving the Muzzies credit for "saving the Greek knowledge" They're the ones who imperiled it and destroyed most of it, so I'd fucking hope not. >just like I'm not giving Christianity credit for not killing the scribes and burning their works at times. Christianity sequestered them and employed them copying texts at all hours of the day, and only rarely were any killed or their works destroyed entirely, unlike what happened repeatedly with islam, even in the modern day. Wasn't that long ago the mudslimes in Myanmar burned a thousands-of-years-old Buddhist scroll, prompting the Buddhist monks to say "enough," arm up, and start violently purging the murderous savages. I don't think Jews have ever been so vigorously ejected, despite it happening so many more times. >It has less to do with the religion and more to do with who happened to be in power at the time, as rulers don't always strictly follow their own religion. In islam, you have divine mandate to murder your ruler and take his position, whenever this happens. It is the will of Allah he die and you get all his stuff. >Even the Christian church didn't always follow its own religion, indulgences and whatnot. The penalty for this isn't generally your immediate subordinates being commanded by God to kill you and take all your stuff.
>>331623 >If I drop a rock, and say it falls because of gravity, Islam gives me a death sentence. Gravity is the will of Allah. >The point was Yes, I said the point in the text you quoted. >prompting the Buddhist monks to say "enough," arm up, and start violently purging the murderous savages. This always manages to impress me. >They're the ones who imperiled it and destroyed most of it Good point.
>>331624 >Gravity is the will of Allah. But is not immutable, under Islamic doctrine, because Allah can make gravity behave differently at any time, for any reason, without explanation. >>331628 What is a "miracle"? Something we think is fortuitous and unexpected or unlikely, but which–in the Christian conception–is still within the confines of the immutable framework laid down for how the Universe operates. Science (actual scientific method, not "I am the Science™") is our way of discovering what these confines are, and what possibilities exist for us. Someone in the 1700s would be terrified if a picture on their wall started talking to them. We know it's a television. It's not satanic, nor is it outside what is physically possible. But it's a "miracle" to them and mundanity to us. Hell, the Banach–Tarski paradox proves that Jesus' actions with the loaves and fishes wasn't God opening the console and spamming spawn commands. It's just physically possible within the rules laid down at the creation of the Universe.

I'm still hopeful that electrical potential can be drawn directly from the "quantum foam" itself, thereby allowing us to solve all energy problems. >>331638 Oh, it's a nightmare. Let me explain. iBooks Author lets you create a file from the start as either an ePub (flowing layout) or an iBook (fixed layout). An iBook is just a slightly proprietary ePub v3 file with extra features for interactive content. When you create an ePub, you can only export to ePub or TXT. You can't make it a PDF. When you create an iBook, you can only export to iBook, PDF, or TXT. You can't make an ePub. So if I make a standard ePub in iBooks Author, I can't make the page layout fixed. ePub lets the reader make text bigger on their devices, and that breaks my page formatting and all the elements I have on them. If I make my file an iBook, it's stuck there. I can't export it for sale on any bookstore except for Apple's (unless I hand-convert every single page into ePub, Mobi, or some other format using a different application). I can export the PDF, sure, but that's just a PDF. I dunno, it's extremely stupid. I've put that out of my mind for right now as I put the last touches on the text itself and finish my bibliography. When it's textually complete, I'll worry about publication and how to do it. >>331639 >Point out how those statements contradict each other, If reality is discrete, then the mathematical axioms which describe it must be reproducible within the context of that discrete reality. Otherwise the axioms are… axiomatically false. They're just "what if" statements that don't help our understanding of discrete reality. >Prove that the volume of an object can be less than the sum of its parts or fuck off. Are we in menger sponge territory here? Look, if you want to operate under "infinites are just mathematical constructs" rules, think of irreducibility like you think of sub-pixels on a high resolution display. A 3840x2160 display can be set to output at 1920x1200. This just makes every square of 4 pixels behave like 1 pixel. It doesn't matter if the properties of an "even smaller slice" of an object are identical to the ones next to it (at least, as far as we can measure), we can STILL record an object to infinitely reducible slices (some of which are the same) and record their (unique) position and placement. >Kill yourself in the most painful way possible. Someone's touchy because his worldview's inconsistencies were pointed out.
>>331639 > Post proof of your having taken a single class on topology That's just it anon. The Banach–Tarski paradox only works if you disregard topology.
Oh, popsci nigger's started pulling quantums and subatomics out of his ass too. No surprises there. It's always these kinds of niggers who go on to write the 50-something chapter long schizobabble he's proposed. >>331641 >They're just "what if" statements that don't help our understanding of...reality. Almost there. You're almost there. I'm (very generously) assuming that you understand I'm saying reality, space and matter are discrete as opposed to being continuous. Now then, last reply until you've fulfilled my demands. >Prove that you understand the Axiom of Choice and its implications >Post proof of your having taken a single class on topology, real analysis, or measure theory, and that you understand Zermelo-Fraenkel set theory, and that you didn't learn about this paradox from VSauce or whatever or fuck off >Demonstrate your understanding of Planck units beyond a cursory Wikipedia reading level or fuck off You can do that much, right? >Someone's touchy because I'm touchy because I hate dealing with overconfident retards on the Internet more than I have to. >>331642 Something I'm sure our 200 IQ spearchucker understands, I'm sure.

But that has fuck all to do with the point being argued here. >You can do that much, right? Yes. I literally can. This picture is you, however, and I don't play this kind of game. Again, if reality is discrete, then the mathematical axioms which describe it must be reproducible within the context of that discrete reality. Otherwise the axioms are axiomatically false. >>331626 >spoiler I'm sure it's part of the appeal that they don't usually have as much as the smartass phones but I cannot find a single flip phone that can be modded to the extent that you would expect out of Androids. Take the Nokia 8110 4G. The bananahackers site has tinkered with it so much so that many things from the icons to the startup sound can be changed. All good until you realize it's network bands are not compatible in places like North America, not to mention that 3G was shut down last year, leaving the only available phones having 4G and 5G.
>>331656 3g was never shutdown, it was reallocated for use with 4g+ that is amrketed as 5g in america. Everyone got kicked off of it in spite of needing it in remote areas with fewer cell towers in order to provide more bandwidth for faggots in cities to watch 4k streaming bullshit on their phones.

The Macaroon just got GAMERED after Ubisoft called in their assassins: https://archive.ph/lKcIt >>331656 >but I cannot find a single flip phone that can be modded to the extent that you would expect out of Androids. You're missing the point. All a cellphone needs is just a microphone and speaker. That's it. Everything else (Camera, accelerometers, touch screens, etc.) is unneeded or done better with other devices.
>>331659 Just because some other device does some particular function better doesn't mean having a mediocre multi-functional device is useless. Having a camera and digital display regularly helps me with work. I can capture images of problems on the job site to send to the office or coworkers, pull up a live video feed if pictures aren't enough, instantly create a copy of prints to draw on for changes, suggestions, & questions, and every smart phone has a calculator. While it's true most people won't use 90% of the functionality of a smart phone, it's also true that 90% of people don't need the highest end performance of the functions a smart phone has. Cameras have many daily or emergency uses that don't require being very good cameras whatsoever. I'm not going to carry a camera, calculator, and phone with me everywhere just because I can get higher end version of their functions from dedicated devices. My pockets and tool bag are full enough of shit I actually need for my job. I also can't quickly coordinate visual information with distant co-workers without a smart device.
>>331660 > Having a camera and digital display Sorry, I meant touch screen display.
>>331660 >I can capture images of problems on the job site to send to the office or coworkers, pull up a live video feed if pictures aren't enough, instantly create a copy of prints to draw on for changes, suggestions, & questions One problem: why do I need to be the one who provides a phone that the company requires for the work being done? Why doesn't the company provide employees with the tools needed (In this instance, a smartphone)? As I have said to every employer, during an interview, when they stated that I "need" to download their super special app in order to get hired, I am not going to install a company program onto my personal cellphone. If the application is that important to the position, then the company should be provided me with a phone. > and every smart phone has a calculator As does every device on the planet.
>>331662 >why do I need to be the one who provides a phone that the company requires for the work being done? Do you have them pay for your clothes, shoes, lunches, car, and gas too? And who said it was required by the job? Nothing I listed was something asked of me, but it all helps the job go smoother. My job has asked me to download one app, and nobody actually uses it, nor has been required to use it, because all it is is a dropbox with technical info for those of us that want to study building code to get better certifications for more pay. >As does every device on the planet. And how many of them do your regularly have in your pocket?
>>331662 Just get a $50 phone with a $5/mo data plan and tell them the app sucks when its slow. You can probably just leave that phone at home and not pay for another line if the app is useless. Otherwise consider better jobs that people always whine they have to wait months for contractors to do, like plumbing.
Granny GETs.
>>331665 As expected of hags, slow to everything.
>>331654 This is true. >>331655 >you're saying Truth isn't a matter of opinion. This is the conclusion drawn by axiomatic representations of reality. >>331658 Oh, it's not the only university that did minecraft graduations, by far.
>>331663 >And who said it was required by the job? Anon, I have had interviews for storage facilities, bicycle manufacturing, airport luggage, and delivery companies. EVERY SINGLE ONE required that I provide my own smartphone for the sole purposes of installing THEIR special application onto it, with said application tracking every' aspect of my life regardless of if I'm on the clock or not. I find that to be entirely unacceptable. > My job has asked me to download one app Then they should have provided you with a phone if said application was truly that important. >>331664 >Just get a $50 phone with a $5/mo data plan and tell them the app sucks when its slow. No. I already played that game with one company, where said phone just connected to the Wifi of whatever location we were working at (As I refused to pay for an additional phone line just for work) and they kept telling me, every week, that I need to install this other app because "reasons", on top of signing me up for services that kept flooding my email and text inboxes with junk that had zero relevance to the work I was doing. That's also in addition to a previous job where my manager demanded that I provide my personal cellphone number on the building's public list of contact information. After everything I have experienced over the past year, any company that requires me to provide a cellphone, for reason beyond the office giving me a call, can take their "help wanted" posters and shove it up their ass. I am not going to play this game.
>>331663 >actually defending corporate spyware being mandated on personal devices Get the fuck out of here.
>>331667 >Truth isn't a matter of opinion And it's true that feeding many people with little food requires breaking the law of conservation of mass.

EVERY SINGLE ONE required that I provide my own smartphone for the sole purposes of installing THEIR special application onto it, with said application tracking every' aspect of my life regardless of if I'm on the clock or not Never once had this happen. Maybe you just live in a corporate dystopia? Have you considered fucking off to somewhere less shit? >if said application was truly that important. It wasn't, so they didn't. But now that you mention it, I am paid for my phone, monthly. Even though it costs less than my monthly phone bill, and the excess has long since exceeded the price I paid for the phone itself. So yeah, you should probably live somewhere less shit. I get my phone paid for and it's not even required. Though it does help a lot. >>331669 Never did that. And it wasn't a company app, to be clearer. It was slack. And it was dropped later because no one used it and the guy organizing it lost the logins. Since then, it's just a dropbox link.
>>331671 >so they didn't Require it, that it.
>>331671 >Never once had this happen. Good for you. However, why are you trying to use that as as an excuse for why the rest of us should "accept" using a device that shouldn't be required for a job in the first place, and stopping just short of ridiculing people who don't want an all-in-one device? Like the other Anon said, you're defending the usage of corporate spyware. And doing it in such a way that you only talk about the "benefits" of the tech all the while never addressing any of the problems people have with said technology, or outright dismissing said problems as "Well, it doesn't happen to me". What you're doing is a way to prevent any further discussion over a very apparent issue by trying to dance around the subject or declare the discussion of said problems as being "overblown" by "a small minority". Two choices: either respond directly to the problems people are bringing up and discussing or fuck off.
>>331673 >However, why are you trying to use that as as an excuse for why the rest of us should "accept" using a device that shouldn't be required for a job My use during my job was just an example of the practical uses that smart devices have, which has triggered some autism causing this discussion to go on a tangent. >Like the other Anon said, you're defending the usage of corporate spyware. My company never made any application, nor did I tell anyone to download a company application if you're asked by your company. In fact, I explicitly told anon to move somewhere else if that's the only kind of work he can get. Why are you pretending you're illiterate? Do you just want to disagree with me on every point possible even when I explicitly agree with you on something? >And doing it in such a way that you only talk about the "benefits" of the tech all the while never addressing any of the problems Because anon said <All a cellphone needs is just a microphone and speaker. That's it. Everything else (Camera, accelerometers, touch screens, etc.) is unneeded or done better with other devices. As if specialized devices doing a better job of particular functions negates the practicality of the functions of a multi-function device. Even then, how do you know that the place you're moving too doesn't already suffer from the same problem? > As if specialized devices doing a better job of particular functions negates the practicality of the functions of a multi-function device. Yes, it does. "Multi-function devices" only exist to sell morons on the idea that investment into a device that can do "everything" is better than a device specialized to do the task you need it to do. >>331676 >your luddite circlejerk on how flip phones totally can't track your location and have better privacy with unencrypted calls and texts. >>331677 Thanks, I made it for you because you probably didn't think that far ahead.
>>331679 >ip hopping Guess that's that.
>>331677 >Yes, it does. No it doesn't. You don't need a high end camera for most things the average person would use a camera for on a regular basis, and you don't want to have to lug around a camera solely for taking such low quality pictures when that function is built into your smart device. Same thing with most other commonly used functions of a smart device that specialized devices can do better. The problem with smart shit is spyware, but that's not a problem with the technology to fit multiple practical functions into one device, that's a problem with the corporations making the devices and the consumers that put up with it instead of going to alternative multi-function devices without spyware, or making their own.

Computers are in a similar situation, but a different problem. More than enough information has come out showing that Windows 7 still works fine. However that hasn't stopped M$ from trying to dag everyone kicking and screaming to W10 and W11 to datamine them, from ending updates to making it nearly impossible to access newer APIs.
