no version of indiachan were enthusiastic about automotive. Whys that? because average anon is home dwelling autist? Anyway really feel sad about the situation of automotive in india. We have absolutely nothing. Sure we have few things like new scorpioN but its not m340i which by the way attracts 40+20% tax because boomer thinks protectionism is the way to grow home market. The 2w home market thrived despite having so tiny amount of protectionism. So, boomer retards should think about how less protectionism would effect the 4w market than just being NPCs. I just want to drive a miata man. Mahindra has an engine that feels alive and responsive. The 2.0L petrol mStallion. They just need to develop a chassis. Put some seats in it and sell it for <20 lkhs. Having driven the new scorpioN, i say mahindra is capable of developing good chassis. It would be indias first true enthusiast car Thank you for reading my blog. You patience was appreciated.
https://www.madrasmechanic.com/blog found this blog the other day. Not too many articles but at least it's written by 1) not AI and 2) someone who actually works on cars (as opposed to someone who can barely ride an Activa but continuously engages in brand flame wars)
>>9863 Excellent. Thanks for sharing this anon.
kek. Drove new Dezire. The 3 pot feels so under powered in swift that i was curious about Desize. Shitzuki has tuned the engine for all the torque to be at 60-70 km. Drive at any other speed and you fell theres no engine
>>9884 To be fair most city fags feel alive in that range. I have a soft spot for swift but i used to joke that its a car with a bikes engine.
gen 2 &4 swift are nice really. The 4 being underpowered is the only thing thats killing the boner. Would really appriciate if nshitzuki start making swift sport in india, even as a small number. I mean they have 50% market share. The least they could do it take tiny losses. Talking of 50%, they didnt launched mint color for swift avaliable in foreign market. The celario is what i prefer over swift currently. Light, tiny, raw. Its like the whole car is just the engine. But if i were to buy anything under <10 lkhs, I would really buy Amaze. Plenty space, same raw feel, 4cyl engine and a honda
>>9896 I had a gen 2. There is a sport edition ! This is helpful, i most probably will need a new one in few months for my brother. > Atrovos shaman 8x8
>>9900 You know what would be comfy maxx. Ladder on frame 4x4 van with swivel seats

A few days old, if you haven't seen it already. Tata kills its owner. Looks like he used a feature called the "summon mode" which lets you get the car to crawl up to you if you're standing a few feet away, or are too fat to get into the gap between your car and the next. He opens the door which disengages the summon mode, and the car starts to roll away on the slope. He tries to brake but fails to do so, and falls on the ground, fatally injuring his head, as the car rolls over his leg. Looks like the major fault here is that the car wasn't programmed to engage the electronic parking brake once summon mode was disengaged. Even for retards writing shitcode, i refuse to believe they would overlook this. They probably programmed it right, the car just didn't engage the parking brake for whatever reason, one of the reasons could be that the code was indeed bad - the car might have been programmed correctly, but lack of robust code elsewhere prevented the correct code from executing. After all, it is only recently that we increasingly hear about how people's cars lose all power on the highway for no apparent reason, telling the driver it "needs service". Cars with simple ECUs barely ever suffered faults like this. Closest I've ever seen is a car dying and refusing to start after the ECU saw low pressure in the fuel rail. One ignition cycle and it started again.
>>9916 Reddit comment from the person who posted the video. >The person either tried to use the summon mode or the mode switched on by mistake, either way, the mode should not have worked with the door open. When the car started to move, he tried to apply the brakes, causing him to hit the ground. This caused head injury and the doctors declared brain dead. >The family is still in shock, so they haven't yet proceeded with any legal action against TATA. TATA officials have taken the vehicle. But this incident hasn't yet reached national news and automobile news. >The deceased has already faced a software issue with this new car - Once it stopped on the road and didn't switch on. He had to call the showroom and technicians had to come and help switch on the vehicle. >Please make sure this video reached a lot of people and a probe is ordered or some action is taken to get justice for the family.
>>9916 >>9917 Tata's IT team is fucking shit. They put these cars out with such little testing. But even then this is a massive fail. This is horrible.
kek >buy a new car >it kills you Hope the consumer goes back into cars with minimal electrics. I watched a video on youtube where it said when the rocket sent to moon, had 10 times less code than each $50k car produced today and consumer are finally getting fed of it. Woman suffrage was a mistake. Letting them make decisions.
>>9921 What cars would those be in today's market ?
cheap shitboxes
Lol. Lmao even. Iq test should be mandatory for driving. I have seen T cars driving in ghats. Good cheap shitbox currently is honda amaze. It's only a lakh dearer than shitzuki swift but for that lakh you get adult size space inside, a boot, better material, 4 cyl engine that doesn't feel meak and the proper hydrolic feel, and longevity
>>9952 Amaze looks good ! I will consider this. Thanks. Too many digital features for me though. But I won't need to drive it much
>>9952 The compact sedan design looks good. Why don't you ever quote the people you are replying to ?
Kek That's my old habit
Fuck Bhosdapilled assholes. There are lot of amazing stretches of peaceful roads in India. The issue are the towns in between.
the issue are the 85 iq people. Behind the wheel and on the roads as well
>>9971 What is a possible solution ? Strict implementation not possible, because corruption is 1st instinct.
normally you would craft an exam and allow the everyone to understand whats being done and standardize the course. Even create a specialised track in simulator games of 5000km of driving. Track would include every retard brain situation you could come across. But it may not be doable
Modding cars in most cases is financially not worth it. Unless you are emotionally involved with your car or bike, buying new and better is cheaper than part by part upgrade.
>>9975 There is no hope. You cannot solve social problems with tech. Simply police harder and punish people more
>>9975 >>10039 The things that are bogging down the country in this aspect is foreign money, bureaucrats having their childrean study in foreign colleges and bowing down to foreign sensibilities. If the resurgence of open indophobia can't get them to stop licking their feets while being actively spat on, I don't know what will.
TCS codemonkeys charge 800 million pounds to write bad code which is now compromised by crackers, Jaguar Land Rover plants down for a month. Total damage 50 million pounds per week since 31 August. Plants still down. No evidence of data stolen but of course no guarantees it won't happen when they get hacked again. JLR hasn't told anyone exactly what kind of attack it was according to the few sources I consulted. This is the kind of shitcode that's everywhere these days, including in the firmware of your car control modules. You can choose not to buy cars where this code can control the movement of the car in any way, but 1) you won't be for much longer and 2) won't matter if one of these cars decides to run you over when you're out walking. https://finshots.in/archive/why-uk-manufacturing-couldnt-afford-a-jlr-on-crutches-jaguar-land-rover-cyber-attack-scattered-spider-lapsus-shinyhunters/
>>10046 Bad code comes down to these cases 1. Pay monkey wages, get monkey code 2. Bad management. Manager express purpose incorrectly. 3. Hiring the wrong kind of engineer Core companies like Mahindra, usually have 2 as a problem. Most of the good legendary Mleech coders are retired. Very few of them exist. Wingnats are usually fucking idiots, abusing Indians for things they don't do well themselves. Companies are not idiots. The whites are not worth the salary they get. > This is the kind of shitcode that's everywhere these days, including in the firmware of your car control modules. It is not limited to electrics. Most petrol cars have also tons of electronics. They usually stay out of your way but if they were to have electric features, they wold suck as hard. > Jaguar It is a meme company now. Which is sad. Because the old jaguars are beautiful cars.

https://www.newcarsonline.co.uk/blog/the-british-bandit-vauxhall-lotus-carlton/ Lotus Vauxhall Carlton, unassuming family sedan with 380 HP. Favourite car for robbers and such. Thieves stole one with plate 40 RA and would ram-raid a new place for cigs and booze every night, one night a shop very close to a police station, Retarded UK police could not keep up with the car. Allegedly outran a helicopter. But I doubt that. Was allegedly never found but there are some people claiming otherwise on this thread https://old.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/comments/m1feij/what_happened_to_40ra/ Only 1000 units ever built. Caused a stir in the parliament where they were butthurt and wanted to ban the sale of the car. I always like to read about civilians having better equipment or skills (power, in short) than government, although in this case they do happen to be thieves. Things like this really cause the cops and such to lose their sleep for a little while. Makes them aware they're not invincible. >>10048 I think the problem is (1) in your list, These people are running on thin budgets and tight deadlines. Which is where another problem comes up: updates, over the air. Fixing bugs would usually require some downtime and physical movement to put the new builds in the systems. With OTA functionality built in, now it's "ship the product now with the bugs, and we'll fix them later." >It is not limited to electrics. Most petrol cars have also tons of electronics. They usually stay out of your way but if they were to have electric features, they wold suck as hard. That's what i said anon, firmware of your car control modules even in ICE type cars. >Jaguar I thought Land Rovers had a reputation for being unreliable.
>>10038 what if you buy 60k maruti zen. Strip out its interior and boost the engine. Thats good nuff >>10048 personally i like the mk2. Never really understood the attraction for the E type >>10057 hagerty, mechanix illustrated has good video on it. >>10057 they still do but reduced due to using bmw engines. Tho, the rangy is among the very very few I'd actually buy. Other being lexus LS500; ideally before they brought the screen out and other being phantom and dawn
but toyota sedans drive like cheap fwd pickups. The pickups actually drive better

Wish this thing came with 2.2 diesel-170 ho instead. Were able to handle that and had 4x4 varient. I'd rather have this over converyer feeling product like thar roxx and scorpio
ugly wheels tho
>>10110 Will make me look haryanvi but will try this car. Friend got their EV and had nothing but praise. I looked into Mahindra pay. A batchmate works there. Starting pay used to be 35k long ago which was well above industry level. So serious people applied. They never increased salaries. So new talent was monkeys.
>>10059 The problem in Maruti case is other parts cannot keep up with the engine. The materials also start dying after 10-15 years. The best money worth upgrade on cars and mototcycles are better tyres.
>>10114 Design is cool. If they made this without android and chip id get it
