/Audio and Music/ - v2.0 मित्र 08/29/2024 (Thu) 15:38:08 Id: 3c441d No. 7807
v1 - >>498 General thread to discuss audio and audio related media, from music to podcasts , audio dramas etc. Don't shit on each others' tastes, instead, share what excites you and why. all genres welcome
>>9293 Senn HD280 sounds like you will like it. It is good purpose general headphone. If you want IEM's go with IE200. If these are too expensive, this is decent https://www.headphonezone.in/products/tangzu-waner-s-g-2 But build quality is questionable.
>>9295 Nothing professional/studio quality Just all kinds of music, and sometimes I use headphones with my keyboard for practice. I should have mentioned my budget. I can spend up to 2000 on the headphone, and 1000 on the earphones. 1500 if the 1000 ones are just too bad. >>9296 >If these are too expensive, this is decent https://www.headphonezone.in/products/tangzu-waner-s-g-2 Is this a good brand? I thought it would be better to avoid no-name ones, but looking at the rest of the website and the price, it seems like these should really be worth it. Also nice website, thanks
>>9306 Go with in ear monitors in that budget. Tangzu will be nice. Replaceable cables and tips.
https://youtu.be/1MoLpoI_LnA Enjoying this master piece after a very long time. The lyrics are poetry.
https://youtu.be/DkgNWHeo5ZI Beautiful guitar playing. I was told the show is bad, especially season 2. But good that standards are getting new versions in popular media.
>>9293 Are there any stores where you can try the product before buying it ? last I saw only Chroma allows that and they have a sad selection of products.
>>9293 No offense taken but I kept a cheap phone so that I can use my 3.5 mm Wired IEM. But problem with cheap phone is that they don't last long. Unfortunately my new phone doesn't have headphone jack and wireless earphones sound like shit. (idk why people like bassy earphones, shit sound so muffled) But atleast I can emulate my favorite ps2 games on my new phone.

>>9404 I have stayed away from phones without earphone jacks, but can't do it anymore. I don't know what they use to stream bluetooth audio these days. As far as I know, Bluetooth streaming uses/used to use A2DP which in conjunction with some other protocols, and compress the audio in a lossy manner. Doubt this is true as of current year, they must have made something lossless seeing as how they have made wireless the norm. Saw a 30k rupee wireless headset at the mall. I would be livid if I bought it and it sounded like shit because of the compression. If you dislike the compression or whatever and want to go wired, you now have the opportunity to give more money to your favourite corporation by buying one of these, a DAC, the thing they removed from your phone so they could sell it to you separately.

>>9409 Bluetooth compression is audible. There is also delay in Bluetooth upto 50 ms. I can absolutely hear it. LDAC solves most of the issues but eats battery life. > 30k headsets I have 1. Sounds good. But my wired headphones that costs half, sound better. It has excellent noise cancellation. So mostly it stays packed , but I use for for 8+ hour flights or when I have a headache and every noise hurts > Usb C to audio I used one. It ruined my usb port, now I need to repair the usb C port. So I got myself the Khadas tea . It sounds nice on bluetooth. Sounds even better wired, but my USB C doesn't work properly now. Usb C audio would be great, but there is no standard. Active, passive, different dac configs etc. For the avg consumers, who uses 1000 Rs neckband bluetooth, audio quality is quiet terrible. Esp in the 5 Khz+ range and sub 50 Hz. Mic quality is even worst. Wired is simply better. But microphone is an issue and you cannot talk while moving, or going in a bus/train/auto etc.
Listening to this book on J Dilla's life. Amazing book. Must read for any fan of Hip hop or anyone interested in production. https://youtu.be/pGXmFQq56io I have mixed feelings about this group. But when do it well, they do it really well. Amazing production. Fusion is very tough to do right. Normally it sounds like gujjus putting cheese and cheeni in everything, but sometimes it manages to get the vibe just right. In past I knew good groups from south as well, but these days all i find is slop. Please share if you have any good modern artists.
Very versatile band, winging between death, prog and black metal but with really original riffs and sonic choices. Some people call them post, I disagree, there is A LOT MORE going on in their music imo. Djent flavourings including very nice bass playing, lot of black metal leaning, time variations and complex rhythms that don't sacrifice feel as well as advanced dissonant harmonies. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbR67_9Ld-DkNXXR9_8EoRcdhSYhGSvii
>>9437 Similar book about MF Doom. The book sucks. His music speaks for itself and the book did not add any value.
>>7807 I finally got a bass guitar of my dreams bros. Years of saving. It is cheap but I really like the sound.
>>9535 Nice

>>9535 Post a recording of you playing.
Anyone here has experiance with linux? Audio sounds better on linux so i stayed. I was on mint but its mint, so i installed debian with lxqt but lxqt seems to provides less better audio output then mint xfce. I added pipewire above pulse audio and included low latency kernal. and still audio isnt sound just as good. The question is the problem lies with debian or with DE. Should i put xfce on debian or gnome or just stick to mint xfce. I swear, Im not schizoid out
I think problem lies debian because of its stable nature and DE is just the environment and it's not tweaking the system. Pipe wire and proprietary coded is the answer gemini gave me. I will try again with debian while including all the codec and pipe wire else go back to mint
After pipewire and low latency kernal on lxqt it's close but not there. Think I'll move back to mint xfce
>>9659 Your hardware please ? Fedora and Ubuntu both were flawless for me with KDE and gnome. You could try ubuntu studio https://ubuntustudio.org
>>9661 Oh man. I struggled with this so so much. I just switched to dawless. Though live monitoring works well too on interfaces that support.
>>7807 Was listening to Crown of Madness all night, thinking, this is pretty cool. Decided to google the guitarist, Youtube offered this gold nugget https://youtu.be/4DY7Th7VRb0
https://youtu.be/tSP3ffhP20Q I can listen to these just as audio in itself, same for some synths.
>>9732 The bass in this is very funky and reminds me of 90's upbeat tracks.
>>9768 i see
