>>7817 I wouldn't have enjoyed this song some years ago. Now the lyrics so good. Very nice song. >>7818 Not a fan of the lyrics, but everything else is good. Reminds me a lot of Yes ! I love the basslines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwPWGUhEtP0 This is the most famous yes song, also known as the JoJo song.
https://youtu.be/EPCabxeJL2U?si=Uxa8vJnDZJ5Ex7tQ THE PATH OF SUFFERING I WALK ON IS SO BRUTAL. ONE DAY I WILL BE MY OWN MAN.
>>7845 Quoting Berserk music is brutal af. Though I always end thinking of this https://yewtu.be/watch?v=i_AvWYbogG0 hits me right in the feels man. >>7846 This feel is very common these days.
>>7852 understandable but sometimes all a man need is rage to get the work done, these songs work like a catalyst on me.
Most people who talk about historic India cannot paint a picture of how it was, the way Mr Verma can. https://youtu.be/tgxmJQ0aK7k I recommend all the episodes with Vaad with Mr Verma.
>>7856 Oh I know. This is how I power through work too. One album serves as a measure of time for me. Esp for programming jobs.
>>7874 Expresses perfectly the feeling of driving on Indian roads. I normally don't like radiohead too much, they are always to me, very whiney. But there are few songs that hit me hard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COP0XlYHvto This one in particular. Paranoid android (I know, cliche) is also such a good song. But many others I simply cannot get into.
https://youtu.be/EPZLl9XycOc Indian classical that is not the usual fusion khichdi but still has contributions of other instruments.
>>7876 you are right but radiohead is great for emo doomerfag zoomers.
Mayhem coming to my city again very soon. First time I saw them was so great.
>>7902 Super nice ! They are amazing live. >>7882 Reply in detail on this later today.
>>7906 Sanskrit words are butter on my ears.
>>7882 Techniucal issues Radiohead is very emotionally indulgent. So is feeling like an emotional doomer. A lot of us cannot afford to be emotionally indulgent. Students who need to focus on their targets, people in sensitive jobs can only afford to feel on Sundays etc. Metal is good in this regard, it channels extreme feelings into a grid of blast beats and distorted chugs. Emotion is fit into a structure. You follow the structure, you win emotional resolution as a reward. Address negative feelings in microdoses. Radiohead instead moulds structure around emotion. It channels big sad and other doomer feels. Instead of chopping them into bits, it just writes music to give you a huge dose of these directly. I finally get Radiohead now. Though I like only few songs, It is still very indulgent emotionally. I can afford to enjoy it only in moments where I can afford to feel. To feel is very expensive and very indulgent.
Can's live albums are so much better than their studio ones. Their vocal performance is so weak and nonsensical that it drowns the greatness of their instruments on many songs.
>>7807 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uh6AE9Xl6Qs Stormkeep - Tales of Othertime [melodic BM] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6R8JupPTWc Psychonaut 4 - Too Late To Call An Ambulance[DSBM]
>>7927 Psychonaut was a great listen. Perfect blend of lofi, melododic and black
I saw Sophie perform at a Gujju businessman's sons birthday. She still looks hot in person. But I don't enjoy her voice. She sings fine though. Very weird to see these people bend over backwards for little bit of money. Performers are truly pathetic IRL. Almost makes me feel bad for them.

Can anyone post some good energetic ragas/Indian classical music? Been looking for some.

>>8078 Canadian band, check out Antediluvian if you're a fan. Didn't really get into cavernous death metals more experimental stuff, always preferred incantation, never liked portal. Infester is a solid band. https://youtu.be/emSDcQ89Ne8?si=ZhscxILJHIWNGpHL Seems black metal is dead, flooded with hipsters trying to convince themselves they didn't become the system they base their identity on rebelling against, and loser teens either trying to be edgy or hormonally confused. Are you a fan of funeral doom? https://youtu.be/UEtAGvzxoKw?si=168D7cMKrOK7fPZd Linked two very good bands.
>>8081 Infester is solid recommendation. Wormphelgem is more atmospheric slow burn kind of stuff. Need to give it time. You like the thrashier stuff, I get this. I prefer the old school DM aesthetic myself. > Seems black metal is dead, flooded with hipsters trying to convince themselves they didn't become the system they base their identity on rebelling against, and loser teens either trying to be edgy or hormonally confused. Disagree with this. It is true that Hipsters are adopting metal en masse to stand out. But the nu-metal wave or thrash wave people were the "hipsters" of their own time. More importantly , metal is judged by its extremes. The popular bands are always pop adjacent that attract young ones into the fold. Bands like Mgla, Krallice, Akhlys, Plebian Grandstand, ION, Peste Noire, Batuschka, etc are amazing. Even a band like Vile Creature that is a about tranny feelings, makes amazing music (in my humble opinion). We live in the golden age of niche music. I can buy the albums directly are 10€ ish or 900 Rs. They 2/3rds of the money directly from me and I get my music offline or in physical form. Win Win for the true fan. I am more concerned about streaming services, but they seem to be taking care of themselves financially by not being profitable.
>>8082 Oh fuck man. This movie's music is one of the things I bonded over with my wife. We even danced to one of the songs. Park Chan Wook chooses amazing music for his movies. Really hits you in the feels.
I hate music analysis channels mostly, but sharing because it makes it an easy gateway. Analysis of Hey Arnolds music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrJ411AHB5Q If someone has a good torrent or download link to this music, please share it. Cover of Stompin - Slower than original but seems to work in its favour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9D-6scDCxw Hey Anrold - Soundtrack playlist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeM4lWhr39M&list=PLD7FB059BE3BC62DF
>>8100 Might be the area I'm at. Canadian metal scene has become very gay except in Quebec, but I dislike the French. Also disagree about Thrash being hipsters, but my response requires too much time to type out now. Will respond later. Streaming services indeed suck. Had an idea to make a metal dispo/streaming service awhile ago.
>>8104 Quebecian culture is arrogant for no reason. Idk why the claim to have "french" culture. Anyway, Back in the hayday of Thrash, there were a lot of posers who copied the look, bought the albums etc and then got filtered out. Similarly, a lot of hipster bands and fans enter the scene. Many discover it is not for them. Others stay. What a hipster is, also is subject to interpretation. In white European concerts, it is considered hipsterish to bring me because I am "diverse" lol. I tend to just focus on music I enjoy. Life is too consuming with detail and depth to waste time on things and people I don't enjoy. BTW, the track shared by Chotabhangi might be your type. Old school BM >>8109 I don't have any issues with old school BM , but I have heard the classics back to back so much that I am saturated with them. So derivatives don't interest me much. But bands with newer takes are fun. Like what Krallice does to BM, or Akhlys dialing the evil to 11.
Kanonfieber neues Album ist gut.

https://youtu.be/RufsXUv_dQE Black metal from france. If you want soft prog atmospheric stuff.
>>8172 What I enjoyed in this albums were the turnarounds. How one soft simple idea turned into a more complex idea melodically. It is done in a very simple yet very tasteful way.
>>8125 This is really beautiful and heartfelt stuff. The vocals are too good and the clean guitars too ! I usually don't like forced lo fi atmosphere, but here it fits.
I realized today that most people don't have season themed playlists of music. I find this very strange.

>>8217 >>8215 This soundtrack is indeed brutal after watching the anime. Long time no see anon.
>>8219 There's something about this anime's atmosphere that feels really comforting even though ending isn't some kind of idealistic ending but the way everything has been presented it resembles reality a lot.
(10.66 MB Track07.mp3)

>>8221 Anyone who has lost people they were close to can relate . It is cathartic in that sense that the anime allows you to feel, which you can't IRL since you must get back to whatever duty you are given. Had this feeling a lot recently. The music too has a lot of effort put into it, way more than any show should.

>>8416 I don't really like this track, but it has decent lyrics, compared to your usual hip hop artist. The production is somewhat better than the usual. Bass is slightly too high in the mix , but atleast things are not clipping and distorting. Listen to any Indian gig, the sound guys always max out gain till things are clipping. Even with good equipment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bBdRjrVXi4 Indian hip hop has a LONG WAY. I heard some good artists from Bengal, but their content was the typical lefty talking point. Hip hop artists with polished lyrics and ideas are very rare. Which is what makes it tough for me to take them seriously. >>8423 Took me time to love Radiohead, but I fell head over heels for them.
https://annas-archive.org/search?q=z2+comics Cool comics, a lot of them themed around musicians. >>8439 What is thr story of this track ?
>>8441 it is from anime "Welcome to NHK", main character is a NEET, who is persuaded by a lonely NEET 17-18 yr old girl trying to fix him.
Need to make albums of the year list but too tired and no personal time either. Will try though before 31st. >>8442 I know the anime, it has been so long ! And combined with Bocchi, the combination is music amazing. Bocchi is too underrated. Would have been Anime of the year if not for Dan Da Dan.

Oranssi Pazuzu is a bit too hipterish, but Saaturatio is just so, hypnotic, like I'm drowning in a sea and the Leviathan himself comes to consume me in the deep blue, consuming me in an instant while only a little sunlight percolates through the waters of this heavy abyss. Insanely prog stuff, not really for people looking for traditional black metal but rather, people looking up for fucked up psychedelia or doom metal despite falling into the category of black metal. Game of Despair..... It's by an old, obscure Italian band named Victrola. Their first full length album is legitimately impossible to find in a bitrate of more than 128 bits but it's hilariously lo-fi anyways. They have a beautiful remaster of this same song on Spotify, I could not upload the flac here because it breaks the file limit. Here's the link for those who prefer it. Much better quality, this file is from the original 1983 release, Spotify has the remastered version, so gothic yet so, futuristic at the same time, ideal for night drives: https://open.spotify.com/track/3tvf86e62g9Lw56WVXjUN5?si=Zp7-NwKdQhWd8Lt3X_v2xQ

>>8539 MF DOOM There are 3 parts for me in appreciating a hip hop artist 1. Musical themes and Aesthetic 2. Lyrical themes and Aesthetic 3. Overall visual aesthetic (production, sample choice etc) In addition there is impressionability. The music most people like best is the one they are exposed to between 14-18. Because at that age your mind is impressionable. Beyond that your capacity to like new music becomes limited, you cannot appreciate it with the same depth that younger you could. ## On Impressionability I fell in love with Eminems Brain Damage (see attachment) because I was bullied daily in my school years. Physical violence was a daily part of our lives, my head was bashed in daily and teachers were a part of it. So it felt relatable. But even something like Baba seghal felt amazing, because it was the only hip hop cassette at the time amd feeling mogged at a rich hotel was a common experience at the time. The point of these sentences is, I was impressionable and something relatable felt deep because of it. In that same vein, I grew up with comic books, with colorful villains in movies (picrel - Shaan villain). Victor Von Doom was amongst the most interesting villains too. He had his own country at one point, somewhere near tibet if I remember. Given this background, I am not impressionable enough to get into MF Doom, but I am for sure very intrigued by his influences. 1. Musical themes and aesthetic - Given my love of villains and old movies/shows with a flair for the dramatic, I naturally love the MF Doom aesthetic. Simple example https://youtu.be/gSJeHDlhYls 2. Lyrical themes and aesthetic - Mad Villainy is my fav album, this doesn't mean others are not as good, I am not as familiar with them. I can skip the lyrics, I don't relate that much to American culture or references, but the choice of old school funk and soul , even international vintage music, is just a treat for me. If they released his albums without the vocals, I would buy that too. Opening of
>>8553 There is lot of hip hop I want to enjoy, some of it is really good. Deep, thoughtful and tasteful. Most of it is cheap, chapri and sadak chap. You can relate to it as a teenager, all the struggling tracks. I heard some modern Indian hip hop, it was such chapri pointless crap. This is true for all music though. Musicians are mostly dumb, not well read, mentally slow and don't really think too much. Prog metal bands, make nonsensical pretentious names like Quantum dot hack (Sorry Vishal, but your album lyrics and titles are meaningless garbage). And people with half/no iq suck it all up.

2 mins silence for the revered headphone jack ................................................................................................... I am happy with the Khadas tea, but its battery is not replaceable. Fiio launched a new one that seems almost perfect. https://www.fiio.com/retronano Regarding mounting, just thin sticker magnets are really good. I don't need it for now, so I won't. But my next upgrade will be a dac like this and magnets to attach it to be back of my phone. The styling is too colorful for my taste. But I don't really care at this point. Support for inline controls is just too good.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTDr1yiFMjY This song triggers some primal feelings in me
>>8625 >This is pretty good with all the signature japanese chords. The mix is better too. But Japanese mix's have murder treble on them. Also the tight bass. I have no clue what any of that means but i guess you liked it
>>8705 It is. I liked it. If you care, Japanese people play the same chords as westerners with very different fingerings , giving their harmony a very different sound when playing the same thing as a westerner. Love the weird combo on this track you shared.
They are from the new york school of dissonant extreme metal, having inspired Colin and many other elders of the genre. But they never got the recognition they deserve for always being too extreme. With time, their tones are not the most dissonant and neither is the presentation. But the compositions are still quiet original, not just being dissonant for the sake of being dissonant, but actually having a musical plot throughout the album and the tracks that even the most untrained ears can pickup on.
If you buy audio equipment like headphones or Digital Audio Players in Japan, they all have higher treble than ones sold elsewhere. Japanese people seem to prefer higher treble. This means the bass is usually tamed because increased both bass and treble together is recipe for ear rape. But this means that recordings made for Japanese audience, versus the ones for international audience are mastered differently. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/treble-bass-balance-in-japanese.14963/ Not that anyone cares, but I thought someone might find it interesting. This is part of the reason that Japanese music has a unique sonic profile. https://youtu.be/lln2NPx3aKw Live recording so the treble is in control

>>7917 I listened to Future Days recently and it has to be some of the best albums ever made, along with KC's 'Red'
I don't care about Dranke vs Lamar, but it is nice to see musicians battling and young people caring about it. It was not unusual for Gamath musicians to battle over ideas or as later it was called, Shayari. In south, it there was a similar culture of musical battles, but is only practiced in smaller towns and University campus's, mainly academics attending it. There are hardly new arguments. Just old ideas rehashed, trying to capture the magic of the original. Indian hip hop artists have nothing interesting to say. Which is the main tragedy. People with a mic and talent, with nothing important to say.

https://youtu.be/9xTa64fO8NI I like the song but the cheap virtue signalling Bad thing is bad bro. Listen to me talk reason by stating the obvious. This keeps preventing me from taking Indian bands seriously.
>>8574 https://youtu.be/GouP9Kzy3mo?si=U_hs7viijw-o_wmj Most indian songs in general lack any deep thoughts or reflection on personality or anything complex that isnt mainstream, There is a reason most songs in India are about money or foids.Last time i heard something good was few old songs like "Awara hoon". https://youtu.be/fi-OKRuBbI8?si=Q9jGXrOzU0PxNVHt Everyone today wants cheap views by adding foid, money and sexx suxx in lyrics.
>>8574 >>9212 in general, how many songs are there that reflect on suffering of a man like this i posted? You can just count them on fingers.
>>9212 Love songs is what sells, Failsafe. Explains the popularity. Not just in India or urduwood, but worldwide. Ameriniggers make songs about drugs, sex, love, gangbanging, many other cultures make songs about the same things but not so explicitly. Ruskie music is rather varied, and from experience it seems that Japs are just as synthetic with their music making as with everything else, their first goal is to make a catchy/hypnotizing melody, and then they throw a bunch of words at the lyrics and keep what sounds halfway decent. But they do a good job at the melody so I like listening to those. Interestingly, it seems like the same is true for Indian classical music. Generally speaking if a song ever starts playing which goes "oh your hair oh your skin oh your face mai to fida ho gaya what will i do without you", i change the radio station or the track, except for some songs.
>>9219 >>9212 Growing up, my ears were raped by songs. My last memory was Sheila ki Jawaani in a long auto ride somewhere. Then I spent money, got soft earplugs (swimming kind) got construction earplugs (over ear kind) and in time, got expensive noise cancelling headphones. I think this is also what pushed me towards metal. Love is only of the 9 emotions. >>9213 https://youtu.be/GjPGVVebVUc This song got me as a kid. I realized what a monster uncertainty is, since then I have spent my life dealing with that question. Groups that work on their popularity, get popular. As simple as that. People who love love songs, rarely know anything about love. The love obsessed chicks are usually materialistic psycho's. These posts triggered so many thoughts and so many memories. Personally, I have a deep soft spot for sad songs. Tragedies, failures etc. But it feels very indulgent. At some point, going back to the real world means suppressing my feelings and focusing on tasks. Music is escape from that automaton mode.
>>9220 Buy 3M in-ear earplugs, I'm sure you have tried them but they are my go-to. They're cheap, disposable and they bring down most sounds to tolerable and safe levels. They are not certified for workplace use from what i understand, but that means they are not certified for protection against 8 hours of continuous loud machine noise. Off topic, I need to get a few pairs of those. New gym has bhangis who cannot comprehend playing their bhangi songs at any bass/volume level less than the highest.
>>9221 I splurged and got custom in ears for noise blocking. Life has been good ever since. I have sensitive heating and I don't intend to lose my hearing. For travel, I have Sony 1000 XM5's. I don't care for Bluetooth sound quality, but the noisecancelling is good for 8+ hour flights. Earplugs are such good investment. I can't stand gyms for same reason. Unwanted noises, nutcases attendants who want to talk to you etc. I tried going late. but did not enjoy it. Outdoors for me. Luckily I love near forests.
>>9238 nice song yaara

(looks like they use the term headphones for both these days) I tried my friend's earphones which are supposed to be really expensive and very high quality. I don't consider myself an audiophile but they were really lackluster, mediocre even. I don't want to spend 2000 on a pair that sounds the same as 200 rupee chink earphones from the bus stand. I use 6 year old Sony headphones which have held up well, no issues electrically but they are too loose and fall out and look dirty (they are white) I don't want to buy the same ones again. Yes I am looking to buy one headphones and one earphones. If you have any suggestions about exact models, tell. Both wired and 3.5mm because I am not gay (no offense to the bisexual anon here). Braided cables on the earphones would be nice.

>>9293 Senn HD280 sounds like you will like it. It is good purpose general headphone. If you want IEM's go with IE200. If these are too expensive, this is decent https://www.headphonezone.in/products/tangzu-waner-s-g-2 But build quality is questionable.
>>9295 Nothing professional/studio quality Just all kinds of music, and sometimes I use headphones with my keyboard for practice. I should have mentioned my budget. I can spend up to 2000 on the headphone, and 1000 on the earphones. 1500 if the 1000 ones are just too bad. >>9296 >If these are too expensive, this is decent https://www.headphonezone.in/products/tangzu-waner-s-g-2 Is this a good brand? I thought it would be better to avoid no-name ones, but looking at the rest of the website and the price, it seems like these should really be worth it. Also nice website, thanks
>>9306 Go with in ear monitors in that budget. Tangzu will be nice. Replaceable cables and tips.

https://youtu.be/DkgNWHeo5ZI Beautiful guitar playing. I was told the show is bad, especially season 2. But good that standards are getting new versions in popular media.
>>9293 Are there any stores where you can try the product before buying it ? last I saw only Chroma allows that and they have a sad selection of products.
>>9293 No offense taken but I kept a cheap phone so that I can use my 3.5 mm Wired IEM. But problem with cheap phone is that they don't last long. Unfortunately my new phone doesn't have headphone jack and wireless earphones sound like shit. (idk why people like bassy earphones, shit sound so muffled) But atleast I can emulate my favorite ps2 games on my new phone.

>>9404 I have stayed away from phones without earphone jacks, but can't do it anymore. I don't know what they use to stream bluetooth audio these days. As far as I know, Bluetooth streaming uses/used to use A2DP which in conjunction with some other protocols, and compress the audio in a lossy manner. Doubt this is true as of current year, they must have made something lossless seeing as how they have made wireless the norm. Saw a 30k rupee wireless headset at the mall. I would be livid if I bought it and it sounded like shit because of the compression. If you dislike the compression or whatever and want to go wired, you now have the opportunity to give more money to your favourite corporation by buying one of these, a DAC, the thing they removed from your phone so they could sell it to you separately.

>>9409 Bluetooth compression is audible. There is also delay in Bluetooth upto 50 ms. I can absolutely hear it. LDAC solves most of the issues but eats battery life. > 30k headsets I have 1. Sounds good. But my wired headphones that costs half, sound better. It has excellent noise cancellation. So mostly it stays packed , but I use for for 8+ hour flights or when I have a headache and every noise hurts > Usb C to audio I used one. It ruined my usb port, now I need to repair the usb C port. So I got myself the Khadas tea . It sounds nice on bluetooth. Sounds even better wired, but my USB C doesn't work properly now. Usb C audio would be great, but there is no standard. Active, passive, different dac configs etc. For the avg consumers, who uses 1000 Rs neckband bluetooth, audio quality is quiet terrible. Esp in the 5 Khz+ range and sub 50 Hz. Mic quality is even worst. Wired is simply better. But microphone is an issue and you cannot talk while moving, or going in a bus/train/auto etc.
Listening to this book on J Dilla's life. Amazing book. Must read for any fan of Hip hop or anyone interested in production. https://youtu.be/pGXmFQq56io I have mixed feelings about this group. But when do it well, they do it really well. Amazing production. Fusion is very tough to do right. Normally it sounds like gujjus putting cheese and cheeni in everything, but sometimes it manages to get the vibe just right. In past I knew good groups from south as well, but these days all i find is slop. Please share if you have any good modern artists.
Very versatile band, winging between death, prog and black metal but with really original riffs and sonic choices. Some people call them post, I disagree, there is A LOT MORE going on in their music imo. Djent flavourings including very nice bass playing, lot of black metal leaning, time variations and complex rhythms that don't sacrifice feel as well as advanced dissonant harmonies. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbR67_9Ld-DkNXXR9_8EoRcdhSYhGSvii
>>9437 Similar book about MF Doom. The book sucks. His music speaks for itself and the book did not add any value.
>>7807 I finally got a bass guitar of my dreams bros. Years of saving. It is cheap but I really like the sound.

Anyone here has experiance with linux? Audio sounds better on linux so i stayed. I was on mint but its mint, so i installed debian with lxqt but lxqt seems to provides less better audio output then mint xfce. I added pipewire above pulse audio and included low latency kernal. and still audio isnt sound just as good. The question is the problem lies with debian or with DE. Should i put xfce on debian or gnome or just stick to mint xfce. I swear, Im not schizoid out
I think problem lies debian because of its stable nature and DE is just the environment and it's not tweaking the system. Pipe wire and proprietary coded is the answer gemini gave me. I will try again with debian while including all the codec and pipe wire else go back to mint
After pipewire and low latency kernal on lxqt it's close but not there. Think I'll move back to mint xfce
>>9659 Your hardware please ? Fedora and Ubuntu both were flawless for me with KDE and gnome. You could try ubuntu studio https://ubuntustudio.org
>>9661 Oh man. I struggled with this so so much. I just switched to dawless. Though live monitoring works well too on interfaces that support.
>>7807 Was listening to Crown of Madness all night, thinking, this is pretty cool. Decided to google the guitarist, Youtube offered this gold nugget https://youtu.be/4DY7Th7VRb0
https://youtu.be/tSP3ffhP20Q I can listen to these just as audio in itself, same for some synths.
>>9732 The bass in this is very funky and reminds me of 90's upbeat tracks.
