The thoroughness of the Guilty Gear wiki has been a godsend to me in my research. You can tell a lot about a community by their wiki. The people editing the wiki know how daunting it can be to get into GG, so the wiki is excessively thorough about documenting every conceivable piece of GG media, no matter how obscure, lost, or irrelevant, and somehow managing to organize it all in an intuitive way. It's still a lot, but at least I know exactly what I have left to go through and how much progress I've made. Which gives me peace of mind. Anyway, I'm going to try to resist the urge to give constant status updates like this, at least until I'm past the research stage and actually working on the Jump.

So let me see if I have my understanding correct. The CHALDEAS timeline started as a valid timeline, completely in-line with Pan-human history. This was changed due to Moneybills' actions in said simulation, but ultimately the core players and abilities demonstrated in F/GO are still valid due to originating from a valid timeline. Like a chessboard, which starts from a valid starting position, only on Turn 1 some cheater swaps out all their pawns for queens. It's still technically valid, it's possibly for pawns to promote to queens and thus having 9 queens is not impossible. But it is impossible because it wouldn't happen on turn 1 and the chances of such an event happening at all ever are close to zero.
