I'm lightly thinking over sorcery stuff as I get a bit stronger in my chain; specifically Death and Magma sorcery. This is in the context of Elden Ring I should say. I was trying to think about which one would most thematically link to curses. At first I was thinking Death - just off a gut reaction - but honestly it's less 'curse' and more aberration in many instances. It's 'different.' The Rancorcall Sorceries specifically use the term Hex, but the others just speak of traditions or development as a weapon and so on. Meanwhile, the entirety of the Magma Sorcery system is purportedly rooting in ancient hexes that had been translated into Sorcery. You get what I mean? Which do you think is inherently more like a curse?

For Garden of Avalon, wouldn't "Dragonheart" be a better martial feat than "Peerless"? Peerless apparently makes you an utter god of war whose surpassed even Lancelot in maerial combat, but Dragonheart gives you the mana supply of a Dragon, which not only replenishes in an hour, but also gives you magic resistance to all magic than a Grand Caster on par with Solomon or Merlin. On paper, this sounds like a flat mana boost + mana resistance, but if you look at the magic skilll, Mana Burst, then you quickly realize how busted this combo is, especially if you look at how strong Saber becomes while using it. Saber is a frail girl with a body that cannot age. The only thing notable physical trait about her is her dragoncore, which she uses to exponentially increase her speed, strength, and durability. We see in her duel with Vortigern that she can maintain this state for hours, with the martial prowess to fight an Age of The Gods level Dragon. Later, in Heaven's Feel, we get a more visual representation of what Mana Burst looks like when abused with nigh infinite mana. Saber becomes so strong that she's physically stronger and far more powerful than even Hercules with Illya backing him. So a Jumper that took Dragonheart should in theory be way stronger than a Jumper with Peerless, right? Especially if you stack Dragonheart with the Worthy capstone that guarantees you top tier weapons and a good teacher.

How many slots do you guys think makes sense for a mirror artifact to have? I want a few but not a ton. Im thinking it will be able to store a certain amount of spells in slots, one spell per slot, that its spirit can cast and it can switch them out with a different spell if needed but it can only save so many of a given spell. Like it wont lose a spell when cast but it can replace a used slot with a different spell if needed by removing a spell.

She was born from Radagon and Rennala shortly after the subjugation of Liurnia, which took place before or around the same time Godfrey was fighting the Fire Giants. And therefore Ranni potentially predates or at the very least matches the age of the Golden Lineage in its entirety and would be older than both Morgott and Mohg. And to Ranni, Miquella and Malenia are basically children since they were born potentially centuries or even a millennium after she was. All of this is really fascinating stuff because of the vague but constantly and heavily implied relationship/connection between Ranni and the Gloam-Eyed Queen. The Gloam-Eyed Queen stole the Rune of Death from Maliketh. But Ranni states that she is the one who stole it. Melina is heavily implied to be the Gloam-Eyed Queen and her left eye is sealed while Ranni's right eye is sealed. Ranni's original body had red hair... and Melina also has red hair. Melina refers to herself as a "daughter of Queen Marika" and states that she is "burned and bodiless" and also that she doesn't remember how she came to be this way. While we see Ranni's original discarded flesh on top of the Divine Tower of Liurnia, apparently burned ritualistically. We find the Black Flame Ritual spell, which is heavily implied to be the very spell that Ranni used to discard her body. The name of Black Flame Ritual itself is interesting. In Japanese, the word used in the name is "儀式 (gishiki) which is translated into "Ritual" but it's a bit more complex than that. It's a term that specifically refers to a codified, religious rituals designed to impose new order or rites upon something. In Japanese, the word is typically used in relation to things like marriage, Buddhist religious rites, or the coronation of a new Emperor. In other words, the term doesn't refer to "ritual" in the sense of witches dancing around a fire, it means "ritual" in the sense of formalization or a social activity. The change of something into something else via ritual conduct. With the implication being that Melina is Ranni's other half. She is her Radagon. But in discarding her Empyrean flesh, in carving away absolutely everything that bound her to the Golden Order, she also discarded Melina. But only after years of waging a war against the Golden Order via the Godskin Apostasy and then basically sacrificing her to steal the Rune of Death from Maliketh before severing and discarding her almost exactly like Miquella does with Trina. Melina was one of the aspects binding Ranni to the Golden Order, being a part of her existence as an Empyrean, and thus she discarded Melina as well in a ritual that ironically involving burning herself alive using the god-slaying Black Flame of the Gloam-Eyed Queen. Leaving her to persist in a ghostly state as a bodiless spirit, persisting in spirit but not body just as Godwyn persists in body but not spirit. Which, given their metaphysical connection, one could easily assume that this would apply its effects to both aspects of Ranni in the moment of her severance. Which is why Melina persists as a bodiless spirit that can move about as she wishes without any apparent tie to the mortal world, in complete defiance of the natural cycles of the Golden Order. Of course this is all just a theory.
