gu/t/s thread
>>17806 Looks very clean and nice but you should support your gpu because the weight of it appears to be bending things slightly
>>17812 he has a gpu support bar thingy but it seems like it's struggling
I kinda consider using horizontal case for my next build. Modern GPU size is getting out of hand.
>>17806 She ain't pretty but she works.
>>18901 Pretty clean actually
>>18901 That CPU radiator appears to be installed incorrectly? The fins aren't aligned with the flow of the air.
>>21741 it makes no appreciable difference in the real world. You don't get any real airflow through a dense finstack the way you are implying, the 140mm fan under the finstack is doing all the work. Additionally the c14s is offset mount and only comes with brackets to mount in this orientation by default. Rotating it 90* (heat pipes upward) would have the heatsink violate the space defined by an ATX board, heat pipes down would have it block multiple pcie slots, and mounting it with heat pipes facing the rear would have it conflict with rear case fans. Most large down draft coolers have used this mounting orientation for 20 years.

>>18901 What's the serial cable thingy you got goin on in the slot below your GPU?
>>21810 USB 2.0 ports off the chipset. I found that my mouse often felt weird being driven off the 3.0 ports on the motherboard, and that sometimes you could not get into bios due to the long detection time for the keyboard over 3.0. Put both on the 2.0 ports and have had no issues since.
>>21813 oh innnnnteresting! >>21813
>>21813 "USB 3.0 is backwards compatible" No it fucking isn't! I've had so many devices not be intercompatible.
>>21887 It's also interesting to me that USB3 signaling often will interfere with 2.4ghz devices. Enough that Intel has a white paper about it with the end result basically being move the receiver/transmitter further from the port.
