There are a few other chans with decent technology boards but my favorite was 8/tech/ between 2015-2019 (rip). I actually enjoy the pace on /g/ and that kind of shitposting will always be fun, but after the dissolution of 8ch none of the splinter chans gained enough popularity to support a revitalized /tech/, which was known for having a good balance of activity and signal/noise ratio, higher discussion quality and more knowledgeable and serious users overall. As world events and technology become increasingly horrifying it will be important to have a place where uncensored discussions can be hashed out anonymously among non-retards, so hopefully /t/ or one of the other ones takes the torch. site crashed twice while writing this lmao
