Darkweb for dummies Anonymous 04/21/2025 (Mon) 18:12:14 No. 18747 >>18752>>21733
Greetings /t/, how do I do all the darkweb shit?
>>18747 (OP) You download tor browser.
(125.56 KB 498x385 Yotsubook.png)

Install the Tor Browser, then go to a website, tor.taxi is one of them, where you can find onion links. You have accessed the dark web, enjoy.
Get tor. Then find a tor search engine. Tordex is one. Be safe anon
>Put on Hacker shades >Play Blade Runner soundtrack >Install TOR >It's just 90s internet
>>18755 Is there something we should know, safety wise? What should i do/avoid to stay out of trouble? Do i need a vpn? A virtual machine to avoid viruses/ le epic edgy hackers trying to fuck my machine up?

>>21731 >Is there something we should know, safety wise? Disable JavaScript. If a Tor site requires JavaScript, it ain't worth it. Malicious JavaScript designed to exploit browser vulnerabilities is how you can get your IP address uncovered even though all of your traffic is being routed through several other computers who all don't know where the first or final hop is. Also, don't get Ross Ulbricht'd. Pay attention to what names you use on what sites and don't keep an overlap between any identities you use on darknet sites and the ones you use on clearnet sites. Not too long ago I made an infographic on this exact subject, although it wasn't initially in relation to Tor stuff. It's just generally applicable to maintaining OpSec on the Internet. >Do i need a vpn? Tor basically is a VPN.
>>18747 (OP) Nta, but is android Tor somehow less secure than desktop Tor? Lot of advice I've seen is to stay away from it and that it seems a lot more sites are broken with it
>>21733 The Tor browser is primarily utilized on desktop, so using the mobile version will make you more noticeable.
>>21732 This mea s tha If i just lurk without using any indentity, i am safe?
>>21742 Safe from what? The Android version doesn't even do letterboxing, it's very easily fingerprintable. But if your adversary is your ISP and/or websites spying on you then it pretty much doesn't matter.
>>21801 Hackers and viruses i guess. I was just curious and i wanted to lurk a bit. what are the coolest thing you can do on the dark web that you can t do on the normal web?
>>21822 Utilize hidden services to purchase drugs from darknet market vendors and engage in buying and selling leaked databases, among other activities.
>>21829 Are there dark web public/private trackers?
>>21944 I'm not aware of any that are exclusive to the darknet; they are likely all available on the clearnet and may have a hidden service for Tor users.
>>21944 >>21953 There are but at least 70% are for pizza and you want to avoid them, though most are private trackers anyways by necessity, I dont remember what they're called but I remember at least two normal public trackers on the darkweb though and i2p has hundreds of them Torrents are inherently deanonymising though, and a perfect solution other than >with a wifi extender you can do anything hasn't been found
>>21733 tor or not, mobile devices are not good for anonymity. this is also why i consider any mobile-only or mobile-first (((anonymous))) network/messenger a meme. <but meh what about mobile-using normies? those are exactly the users who need to be protected from their tech ignorance the most.
