There was that guy who I met back in high school and we've been best friends ever since, there was also that guy I met when I was younger who turned out to be a communist, funny all the same so who cares. The plague doctor who phases through walls and whenever it speaks I hear wind and thunder, oh and an Argentinian we met while playing CoH 2.

Here are the 2 times I know for sure they were hearing the same shit I was hearing.
The first time it was late at night a couple of years ago, me and my pal just finished watching a movie, it was like 2AM under a full moon night. We got into my car and something was off, so off he even mentioned it by saying: "Hey, don't you feel something weird's going on", I was already feeling it even before we got to the movie theater's parking lot but I almost never mention it to avoid making the people with me uncomfortable. I answer yeah and even after driving for a while the feeling doesn't go away, for me it gets worse and he gets nauseous. All of this can somewhat be explained, here's the thing, his house was on a somewhat secluded part of the city, to get to it you have to drive through a road that looks like pic related but shittier and the trees cover a bit more. And while going through that road, at like 50km/h an hour so I don't have to drive in a car with vomit on it on the way home I hear footsteps behind my car, running of course. I look in my mirror and see a dark figure sprinting it with awful running form, and while 50 is slow for a car no one can fucking keep up on foot. I try to calm down, back then I believed it was a hallucination, and then my friend hits me with the "you also hear someone running behind us?". After that I don't really care about the vomit anymore so I book it while stuttering my explanation of the situation. Once I'm parked outside his house and we're saying our goodbyes I see it again standing but I can only see it in my mirror, not directly, friend says he hears footsteps again and we cut the night short.
The drive home is a bit more hectic, a normal guy takes 25 minutes to get from his place to mine, I usually take 15 because I don't respect traffic laws, less so at 2:00AM and not at all when a ghost is involved. I probably would've made it in 7 to 10 minutes except this time on the home stretch I run over someone thanks to me driving at 180km/h in a road that says 40. At the moment I thought to myself that it was so fucking over. I heard the bump, I felt myself running over him, I think I even heard a scream, but after getting out and checking there's nothing, no damage, no one under my car, no one behind it, only after calming down did I realize that the thing I ran over never stopped being a shadow despite my headlights being pointed at it. Of course I booked it the rest of the way too.
I ran over similar "shadow creatures" like 5 times after that but I learnt to avoid them back around August 2024.
The second one is a lot less interesting and happened early this year, I was streaming an War Thunder to some friends (the communist and the Argentinian) on Discord and I got a real bad headache, along with it I begin hearing moans of suffering in the background, throughout the next 30 minutes the headache got worse and the suffering got louder, at this point I doubted those were hallucinations but I wasn't sure yet, what confirmed they weren't was when they said:
>dude what's that sound behind you?
>what sound?
>the screams, man. (Argentinian)
>yeah [my IGN], it sounds like the screams of the damned behind you
So I look back, there's the fucking pyramid that had been terrorizing me for the last week. After that I passed out and my friends told me that after stamping my Rafale into a mountain and going quiet the screams of the damned persisted for about 5 minutes and then they went away.
