The actual solution I have would take far too long to explain, and you would probably just call me gay, but the short version is that people need a reason or incentive to post/be a part of a community. It is pointless to say "lol just post more", you are ignoring the root problem that we can all see. niceties and business as usual will just lead to a polite and calm slow death of /pyon/, and you can pat yourself on the back that (you) didn't rample or anti, (you) were the good one that stayed quiet, but it's ultimately your reasoning that is killing us. We need radical action to fix /pyon/, deliberate thought and planning, not "let's just all be nice and ignore it". First order is to acknowledge that /pyon/ is circling the drain and needs direct help. Second order is to realise the problem. Not enough champs are using bread/don't want to participate. How do we fix this? Incentives and action. not just when it's getting bad, but all the time. I know it sounds harsh but kiki will cry that the bread is dying every year and then every champ comes and posts for a month and then it just slowly goes back.
Whatever happened to anchor posts?
Whatever happened to voca's?
Whatever happened to rating?
Whatever happened to champ games?
Whatever happened to Minecraft?
Whatever happened to aggie/magma?
Whatever happened to ritualposts?
These are all symptoms and signs that we are going downward. We need it back first off, and we need more of it. communities live and die by projects, artists, interactions, and activities. I have said this many times, we need to stop overly relying on twitter just because we get that dopamine rush of a kiki reply or like. Every comment on twitter is a post not on the bread. So many champs rush to the rat race of first to reply and then never post in bread. I run with the rule of posting in bread first, then twitter second if I have more to say. I don't care what anyone says twitter and bread is a zero-sum game, so is youtube to a certain extent, but in a different way. I could go on with more ideas but I think you will already call me gay and bury your head in the sand.
tldr we need to accept that/pyon/ is getting worse and needs help, and we need to create more incentive structures and ideas to get champs to post more and interact with the community more. inb4 acknowledging it makes it worse. No, it doesn't, because it is already worse, and your way hasn't worked for a year and a half.
