Personally, I've pretty much lost interest in the /vt/ league. Apart from the league starting at a time that fucks up my sleep schedule hard, some leagues ago, I chose goalhorns for some of the non-medal players in the rare case they score goals, like I'm pretty sure other teams do/have done, and I had asked about them being added in a few league since then. One of the players I had picked out a goalhorn for finally scored a goal, but a generic kiki goalhorn played instead. I'm no longer pulling all-nighters to watch the league start at stupid o clock, just for my goalhorns to be dummied out.

burnout isnt the only or worst thing that can happen if you try too hard. there is also resentment which doesn't just make people leave or lurk but become antis. doing disproportional work to the reward, internal or external or whatever form the reward takes. and i do want to add one thing that can help, but again it must be sincere not just going through the motions - showing appreciation for the champs who put in effort, make OC etc. i did not stop making koikatsu for that reason, but i could definitely notice a drop in attention it was getting over time and it didn't feel nice.
