>>731445 You can literally just convert it to a webm and it will automagically work. If you insist on using an mp4, you need to include -pix_fmt yuv420p. The reason is stupid. ffmpeg defaults to yuv444p because that retains the best quality. Most web browsers depend on the OS to decode h264 video. Windows does not support yuv444p, Linux does. So on Windows specifically, you won't be able to play yuv444p videos in most web browsers. These videos will work in Chrome on all platforms because it has it's own h264 decoder built in specifically for this case. VLC is able to play them for the same reason.
