That said, you can't control the retards in chat, it's not worth stressing over unless they're ruining the stream for the streamer too (and you can't do much about that, because you're not her). Worry about your own demesne and nothing outside it, it's all you can do.
If it's really bothersome to me, I just fully close the chat and ignore it the rest of the stream, or block particular people I dislike reading messages from.
fun fact, you can block people in chat without having a YT channel made, it's tied to your gmail account, so you can have blocked chatters without the ability to post in it
