as u-san just explained right now in the offkai concert, the live2d models is just how they can express themselves beyond the limits of the flesh. U-san is neither boy or girl, it's just u-san, with both masc and fem. U-san's default outfit is a bit androgynous, the yokai one is def the most masculine, and the student one is a bit less masc. The female model was always something that was missing, for reasons that people who have followed u-san before u-san, even before Yugo, have known (and u-san also explained in the concert as they were announcing).

As i mentioned above it's more about the personal expression than having a streaming model. Besides, u-san does stream like once a month, but it's mostly karaokes so the vods are always privated anyways
