Looking through all the dead generals on this site is so fucking depressing.
Most of them died so long ago.
Feels like the hack was so recent but it's actually been several months since then.
Just a sudden spur of activity and then a long silence.
I wonder where all those posters went? If they returned to halfchan or went to holotower instead?
Time really is fleeting, and eventually this place will also empty out, coming back here and checking the last thread that was made, and only being met with long forgotten thoughts and conversations long since dead ideas from months or years past.
Like visiting some image board you used to hang out in back in like 2009 and finding that the last post anyone made was in 2012.
Or logging into the Minecraft server you and your friends used to play in when you were in middle school, and reading the last chat logs you ever wrote there, decades ago.
Really makes me think about how fractured the community has become, I wonder where it will be in ten years.
