/asp/ - Aspiring Vtubers & Startups Anonymous 10/10/2025 (Fri) 14:15:26 Id: a69f6f No. 852660
#3 - The Streamers Edition >What is /asp/? /asp/ is a thread for Vtubers to give and receive advice related to Vtubing. >Should I stream on Twitch or YouTube? Most people would recommend against streaming on YouTube if you don't have an established subscriber base from making videos. Also consider multistreaming, it's free but resource intensive. >Is there an audience for X? Would you watch someone do X? Is someone already doing X? >What video editor should I use for editing clips? DaVinci Resolve, Kdenlive, & CapCut if you don't feel like spending money or pirating, otherwise use Vegas Pro or Premiere. >I have a question, is it okay to ask? Will I get real feedback? Ask away! If no one responds, try asking again at a later time. >I see the rentry! How do I join? Just DM letmebeyouranchor on discord to join! IIt is an opt-in and you can always request to be removed later on! >>852660 aand I fucked it up when removing the corpos who closed their auditions Niji (Open indefinitely): https://twitter.com/NIJISANJI_World/status/1780415989332816307
So this place does still do stuff... Neat... >>852665 Keep in mind Nijisanji got lambasted a bunch of times for treating their talents like shit, so apply, grow and ditch them as fast as possible or something LMAO. Now a bit more off-topic tho, are people even interested in joining a corpo nowadays? Feels like it's more often a headache than being beneficial. And if yes, why do you wanna join one?
>>852312 There are also some who, when reached out, seem cold and curt but just really don't have anything interesting to say so they keep quiet. >>852741 I once held hopes of joining HoloSTARS but the company's permissions autism has lead me to consider otherwise. Being small and independent means I don't have to consider a company's brand imagery when I choose to play modified versions of games. I've seen too many times where a smaller game company has no idea that someone wants to play their game on stream due to emails getting ignored.
Finally a new general. If anyone here doesn't have a good camera to track their L2D with, you can try using mouse tracking. This person made a video on how to set it up. https://x.com/Arraveriii/status/1971583531446124882
>>852312 If you have something in common and feel like you could reach for a collab, then I don't see the issue. At least try to ask if you're interested, and remember that even if they say no, it's not necessarily because of you, it culd be they're anxious around new people or things that are out of your control, so don't always go blaming yourself (unless you asked 20 times and got rejected 20 times, then maybe you can start looking at yourself and see if there's a problem with what you do, but until then don't go assuming you can read minds like Professor X or something).

I had to change the timeslot to 8pm cst instead of 7 because comcast has declared war on Nick Burger(tm). Gonna steal a bunch more shit in about 15 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhFjrtv5cco
I’m having trouble following through on scheduled streams because of mood and shit and wondering what you guys think about just streaming when I’m feeling like I can and have time instead of planning out a whole ass day to do it.
>>859881 A will probably stagger your growth, but I usually do guerilla streams and they work for me. It keeps the brainworms and anxiety away because whenever I promise a stream on a day it never works out
>>860198 That’s my main issue, either I can’t for outside reasons or my mood is just in the pit… I might still plan out some streams and go “I want to do this.” So I’m not just going live, But just not schedule a day for it. I just realized I had a lot of time too stream lately but because I didn’t schedule anything because I didn’t know what I had going on that week I just didn’t…
>>859881 >>860198 There's something to be said about making a plan and sticking to it. You'd be surprised the kind of fortitude you have.
>>859881 Hoi, I also have trouble actually keeping a schedule... How bad is it in your case? What I usually do is while not having a fixed time, I do have a sense of familiarity by streaming around the same time as usual. So it's usually always from thursday-sunday around the evening hours. Being consistent and very open about your times is obviously.much better, but this is prolly the next best thing if you can't pull that off
>>860223 I’m going to look at being more consistent with streaming during the day, because the main complaint I get from people is I stream too late (like 7 pm to 12 am my time usually) but I have time during the day now to do it, I just don’t have a set work schedule so it always changes on me
>>859881 In my case its more just I stream so little, I haven't made a schedule in like 2 weeks. I stream at the same time and day every week, but I just haven't felt a need to make a schedule since its mostly the same every week.
>>854353 Almost half way into the spoopy month and no spoopy games from the spoopy themed Vtuber? Lets fix that with some Alien Isolation today! https://www.twitch.tv/finbarhaugheyvt

>>854353 >forgot to schedule on yt Well thats a learning lesson. Anyway, going for the lost city tonight, and after clearing that we should be caught up to where we left off a few months back. The rest will be uncharted waters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_31juEzzizM

HEY HEY!!! If you didn't see last thread, I'm coming back on Oct. 19th!!! A few more days away!! I miss seein' all of you!! ;s; I do wanna ask though, what's the general consensus on my schedule design? In the beginning, I was more detailed on the schedule like times and whatnot, but now I generally go live in the mornings because my day can be unpredictable. Is it better to put generalized times or is the whole "IM LIVE WHEN IM LIVE" shtick pretty okay too? I try to make my schedules as easy to read as possible because I *personally* hate it when I see a mutual's schedule and the text is SUPER tiny or super thin / unreadable bc of font.
When you do all the networking/befriending things with someone and they never reciprocate or when they say that we are friends yet never interact, is that the time I should just put them on the shelf and stop interacting. Been feeling like I’ve been putting a lot out trying to befriend/network with people and then getting nothing back and just being forgotten about.
>>862848 I get you. Reach out and see if it works or not, if they ghost you more than three days just burn that bridge it ain't worth it
>>862848 I see this more often than not, and I don’t want to feel like I’m bitching about support, but getting empty replies on tweets about how someone is my friend, and they support me when we’ve never spoken outside of public Twitter threads, annoys me.
>>862054 in reality, it's not going to matter much, just do what works for you it's probably better to not make a liar out of yourself if you can't make times more consistent padding and shadows or outlines would make that more readable btw using short day names helps when they're stacked like that, too, since they're 3/4 characters instead of 6 vs 9 >>862848 just gotta take people where they're at most people just don't take most things that seriously so they're never going to be more than "friendly" and that's fine, larpers have their uses maybe they're worth a like or retweet or something else in the future of the ones that do take it seriously, life's a bitch and there's always half of everything trying to get in the way making it a shitty numbers game sometimes you can get more out of ventures if you can frame something as them doing you a favor, for a lot of reasons

hi bros i made up my mind and i'm thinking of doing a small but important rebrand. it should have already happened by now, but irl got in the way as well getting super sick, hopefully i'll come through with it by november. it will make sense once it happens, i promise :3 i thought it'd be fair to say it here since people know me and i had a great time here last year, and honestly this space is better than a lot of other sns's out there. part of me thinks that no one gives a shit about me anymore but hey, it's worth a shot. have a wonderful week~
>>863656 You're good, Lil bro
>>863656 See you around lil bro. Looking forward to the rebrand!
>>854353 Change of plans. My loan originator thinks I should hurry up with payments for the store, so I'm putting the usual Monday stream on hold while we continue the Thief marathon. You can thank house Cantabile for this. Starting at 8pm cst (an hour later than usual) because of the ongoing Comcast war. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV_0neWxUcI
Are there etiquette rules for raiding other channels? I wouldn't mind poking some of you guys, but I imagine it's a bit self aggrandizing to raid a channel larger than yourself. Are there rules to this? Should I reach out to people before raiding?
>>865493 Depends on the person some are crazy and pretend full raids Most are ok and will pretend it's a decent raid even if it's a 0 raid Overall I raid up when I have raided down a lot and if I want to raid up I usually go for no more than 3 - 5 times my raid While I raid down whenever I have a sizeable raid in my hands. you can reach to people if you think they are a bit more sensible in the matter, nobody is going to be offended if you ever ask something for the sake of boundaries.
