In the beginning, I was more detailed on the schedule like times and whatnot, but now I generally go live in the mornings because my day can be unpredictable. Howdy, was told the gold rule of always be shilling so I'm popping in here now. Was in the /vt/ threads last year talking about this clown knight idea I had as an avatar, got some advice and went away. Well after a lot of back and fourth and my original artist just sort of disappearing on me, my friend pulled through and made me an avatar. He's just a head at the moment and, upper torso will come later when she has the time but it's good enough for streaming. It seems like the ratio of your likes is rather low compared to the views so I assume your viewers either aren't all that entertained or leave early. At that point I think the best advice that can be given is to just experiment with editing, because shorts are highly dependent on that.

Going to give an anti-recommendation to the Presonus Audiobox USB, specifically the USB 96/22VSL, their Scarlett 2i2 competitor. While the build quality is fine and works with Loonix, the preamps are where Presonus/Fender cheaped out and used low spec types. What this means is that the Audiobox has a Worst-In-Class noise floor, worse than the Steinberg UR22, and even the cheapest Behringer UM2! Still don't recommend those two, but after having used a decent SM57 clone, the level of gain to record a dynamic microphone was pathetic. Quite literally had to max out the gain and then lower by one or two notches. The same goes for any Instrument/Line level signals. Going to repeat that even a similar tier of Behringer product is better than this, don't be fooled by the metal case. Also, Presonus' pack-in version of their Studio One program kind of sucks. Would reccommend Ardour or Reaper instead for the music-doers that want a full blown DAW.

Thought I might come here and introduce myself. I already had in the other thread but I'd kept it rather brief and at the time it was for lack of a better word, "busy" over there. Anyhow I'm Trent Deadwood, treant Vtuber who is still finding his footing. I was a streamer years ago with a small following playing mostly competitive games and I decided to get back into streaming with a fresh start. I won't be going back to the competitive games though. Currently just winging it with the streams while I work on some prerecorded educational content. I'm a forester off stream and student and I'm hoping to integrate that through the prerecorded stuff. Any advice for selecting what to stream? I've been switching between real dialogue heavy stuff just to keep me talking when I read and stuff I'm more familiar with but I worry I lock in a little too hard during the gameplay/that my commentary suffers because it's just thinking out loud.

I was curious. What's better for a stream layout. Something that is minimalist where it's just a background that you put your avatar, chat, and window on or an actual layout that has areas for your chat and game title to go into?

Been streaming for a good couple of months now with Iriam, would recommend it for anyone trying to get some dedicated fans but the medium is fucking draining. Didn't realize that nonstop Zatsus every night really sucks the life out of you. I can see why people graduate so often.

meowdy aspies has anyone experienced RAM problems with streaming? im really hoping that once i (haha maybe never) get my hands on another stick of memory, i'll be able to stream way more games without crashing. im sitting at 16GB on a gaming laptop. also, any recommendations on what i should work on?
