I don't share enough about my practice to really tell if it's a novel approach or not, but I really don't enjoy or understand how you guys frame the "pact" experience. My theurgical framework is more like Buddhist/Hindu Tantra, so what you're doing where you le meet some spirit is foreign to me. With that said, I feel compelled to jump in here:
Egregores are not created by a single person. That's a Tulpa. The Magical Personality is created by said initiate, which I think is what you're referring to. The Ethereal or Energy body is built later on to guide the consciousness around to exert the Self in a variety of ways. You don't create "your egregore", but you can create an egregore that you base on yourself or which is an extension of yourself, though it's more of a consensus-based model.
>Your egregore belongs to you if you are "true to yourself" and not show a different image of yourself to every person you meet.
This is explicitly counter to the function of the Magical Personality. It's genuinely a DID experience where you act differently, dress differently and are even supposed to think differently (depending on how you set up your MP).
Can I frame Egregore differently so when you chat about it in the future it's easier for everyone else to understand? An egregore is an objective (not subjective) construction of a non-physical concept which others can borrow from or add to on their own. It's like if you come up with a fun character, draw it and then hand the drawing to your friend and they replicate it, adding their own touch. After a while of this playing out, the overall construct itself, the imbued memories like emotions or sensations stick to and vitiate the created character. The end result and its later consensus-based metaphorical extrapolation, like if you named the character Sammy, is the egregore - Sammy. Our egregore, Sammy, is not (You) and you can perform the experiment to conclude the same by yourself by simply asking yourself what Self is. Go ahead. You won't conclude it's our friend Sammy, I can assure you. But you can take a ride around the block in your noggin with Sammy, swim in the mental pool with him and chat about what life might be like if you move to Switzerland next year. This muse you've created, Sammy, is not (You), but your creation, which can indeed be a reflection of your personality traits or even physical characteristics as you build the image in your mind. However, to identify with it is to misunderstand.
>Also in my view egregores can also have layers and they are not always united.
Right. You can fiddle with them to impress your own Will on them, even use them to influence others. In the end, these mental constructs are fun to play with, especially once you can form Influence hacks to play with the consensus upon which Egregores are based.
>Hitler and egregores
Jung would be a good read for this. He explains the Odinic egregore at play with the Nazis. Some people think it's le raycis, but they're simple.
>Buddhist and Hindu gods where you sync well enough you can
That's a modest understanding, sure. I prefer it personally. I'm not sure the other examples, like in our reference to Odin before, worked separately. What other ways are egregores created?
I think this is the point where we need to differentiate between Egregores and Tulpas. When you "create your egregore", you mean to say Tulpa, it seems. Sometimes it also sounds like you're blending it with the development of the Magical Personality.
