General Thread #80 - Space Is The Place Edition Jumper 11/09/2025 (Sun) 12:22:00 No. 164049
A thread for general jumpchain discussion and chatting. Please make sure to spoiler explicit images and keep hornyposting to a minimum. >Old thread: >>161994 >Horny Thread: >>143436 >Thread Archive: >>1331
>>166037 Its reminding me of impossible creatures. I should play that again. Its on steam.

>>166006 How flexible is the shape shifting anyway? Either way I’ll probably end up skipping that over to become a biological abomination eventually
>>166026 >Picking up mentoring and guidance perks does become pretty important for a chain like this, yeah, something to help pass on ideology or at least some moral imperative to the proteges. Yeah, for such a chain I’d want to put in the work to be a good teacher. Handily enough, I’ve got a good foundation open to me already, Generic Xianxia has the Sect builder, and you can choose to upgrade the sect’s teachers to be very good, while Generic Isekai would see me building a gamer system, so Teaching would be a skill I could measure my ability at and quantify my improvements in.
>>166043 You can change into anything you want with no limit of structure.

>>166046 >pic what in the goddamn
>>166023 Third anon here, my own take on it is more eldritch or alien. Like I'd probably stick to mostly human forms, but I think I'd like to try out forms with entirely different perspectives or bodies, like a shadow on the wall to see what life's like from a 2D perspective, or an alien body with countless eyes or weird appendages, or maybe a cloud of stardust just moving around doing things. I'd definitely use my shapeshifting powers for horny stuff, but I think a lot of the weirder things will be 'hey, what would life be like if I were this?' Especially since I think it'd be interesting to imagine interacting with worlds or people in those alien forms. One of my favorite examples of this is Metamorphosis and its upgrade, Encystation from Annihilation: The Southern Reach Trilogy. Technically speaking, these are alt-forms rather than shapeshifting, but the point stands. The former turns you into something natural that reflects your existence (a murderer and thief might become a beast that steals voices, someone who wishes to enjoy life and nature might become a humanoid formation of flowers, etc). The latter, however, turns you into a sapient aspect of nature, like a piece of the sky moving around like an aurora or a living hill that's able to move around, that sort of thing. Being this thing that could inspire folklore or myth just sounds fun to me.
Drawbacks section finished. Now all i have to do is finish the companions section and i can post my star trek jump.
>>166048 Sneaking into Berghof, shapeshifted as a lamp post.
>>166050 Good luck with the jump, buddy!
>>166003 Thanks for the build! Kinda weird you're chilling in the East Blue
>>166050 Is one of the Companions an Ensign by the name of Mary Sue who is inexplicably beautiful and competent at seemingly everything?
26 posts till thread RIP.
>>166045 I will throw away my humanity 1st (& pick it up later) then!
>>166054 Great idea.
>>166055 I don't know why that damn post took so long to go through.
>>166057 Don't forget to make her super lucky and how she seemingly shows up at just the right time, every time.
>>166045 I will turn into a Primarch, or maybe a Valdor tier Custodes since Primarchs are not entirely biological. Understanding the female perspective is not needed if I can surpass their wildest expectations for a man. If the handful of women into 40K are any indication they will put up with anything if the guy is a 9 foot tall superhuman warlord.
>>165929 >>165935 When it's too easy to get 1000+ free CP. That's when you have too many drawbacks. If you add a proper drawback cap, the problem is easier to avoid.
>>166061 You're right, i will place a 1000 cp limit
>>166062 Place a 999CP limit to keep people guessing.
>>166045 Well at that point I'm morally obligated to become a universe-spanning web of meat moss.
>>166063 That 1 CP makes all the difference. And besides this is going to fuck up my own build.
>>166061 But anon, what if it makes sense in the setting for you to have a fuck ton of problems and there are a lot of expensive options you could reasonably find in one character? Sometimes shoving drawbacks into your eyes for more perks (or waifus) is entirely fitting for the setting.
>>165929 That entirely depends on the contents of perks and items and their prices.
>>166066 There's a option in the jump to be a body-hopping monster. Your argument convinced me, i'm making a 1500 CP limit.
>>166061 >>166062 >drawback caps >in the year of our Lord 2025 I'm not saying you should be burned as witches. I am, however, going to test if you weigh the same as a duck. Then the burning.
>>166063 >a 999CP limit You are going to hell just for saying that.
>>166053 I gotta start somewhere (I rolled for it)
Cough
>>166073 Blarf.
>>166068 As someone who is usually either rather conservative on drawbacks or takes a fuck ton of them depending on the jump I'd say if you're going to have a drawback cap it should be lower. If taking over a thousand points of drawbacks is suitable for the jump there probably shouldn't be a cap at all.
The End.
