Anons, what are some jumps you have no hope of ever seeing them made?

>>188276 Duration of jumps is the biggest issue. You go through 6 to 10 months of activity and then 9 years of downtime. If there's a sequel you get another 6 to 10 months of activity two years later and that's it. It doesn't work unless the jump is something like Monster Hunter to keep the main character busy all that time. At the end of the day, you are going to time skip most of it and gives too much free time for the main character to ramp up. The main character will inevitably reach a point where they are too strong anyway because getting cp and perks is part of the premise and you aren't going to get rid of it without the story not being about jumpchain anymore so I guess changing duration is the next best thing. Think of Castlevania. Those games usually last a night so you go, help Belmont kill Dracula, restore peace to the land and then you have 9 years and 364 days to refine combat, learn new skills, practice magic or something. The main character is much better prepared for whatever happens next than if they got a few days of rest and then got thrown into another setting. A character that is too competent trivializes conflict and conflict is the root of narrative. Even with a perk that makes you learn things a thousand times faster, a person that uses that perk for a decade will be further ahead than one that uses it for a year.
