I really hope so too, honestly. The pilot…could stand to be a little more ambitious, but for what little it’s worth I certainly like the aesthetic and narrative coherency better.

This is the sad, sad truth of it. It is like a pale shadow of peak Disney animation, and that shadow is still preferable to most of the adult cartoonslop out there (dear Gennedy, thank you for carrying western animation on your back. Primal is great, and I legitimately don’t mind either the random prehistoric encounters or the devil viking/Sea People tyrant queen arcs. Zombie Spear arc looks promising too)

And then there are Baki fans, who get incredibly happy when naked, muscular man sing each other’s praises and even express notions of romantic attachment or call each others’ bodies the pinnacle of beauty while sweaty, exhausted, covered in each others’ bodily fluids and having exchanged conversations so intimate they contain details not even their spouses are privy to. But will then turn around and insist their favourite characters aren’t gay. No, it is the world that is gay, because they have higher T-levels than everyone else.

She had a boyfriend in the past, for what it’s worth. Vivzie’s vibes-based writing style means that similar to Nasu just going “Luvia is Rin’s rival and will always be her rival who exists to mog her by existing, yes even though Rin is a top 100 magus with True Magic notes and the Average Run bloodline release technique. Luvia is just that rich OK?” she came up with this rival for Charlie whose family is “merely” some sort of demon nobility (probably not the Goetias) whose heiress is her rival because…reasons. Mean highschool girl reasons. And the convoluted point I’m getting to is Charlie used to date her brother, apparently.

I won’t exactly say I miss when Charlie seemed to be endearingly idealistic but aware of the reality of Hell’s society in the pilot because I saw many, many red flags in the pilot alone. But I will say Pilot Charlie seemed like a more promising, less incompetent character than Show Charlie, who seems like Pilot Charlie but permanently overdosing on antidepressants to get through the day. Also Pilot Charlie would NEVER have shaken on a deal with Alastor that open-ended.

For me, it’s spite.

Don’t ever bother, they’ve become a constant stream of gambling ads and nobody’s sure how much of them are fixed-only that they’re increasingly shameless about it.
The absolute fucking state of UFC prioritising company men to fight over actual contenders, while incentivising champions to coast on sponsorships and generally follow Jon Jones’ example all because Dana refuses to not be Mr. Krabs.
