ok I'm taking the bait
I know none of you want to hear this, but what GF/Nintendo is doing here is defending their right to their own IP.
Copyright law works such that you have to show financial or reputational damages to get something taken down even if it is using your art, as in: downloaded a .png off pokemon dot com and put it in their game.
This is why if you go to the playstore right now you can find apps with digimon or pokemon, as if they were official. It is logistically impossible to hit those because they're too small to do any damage a court might find compelling enough, and by the time you're done proving plagiarism the game has closed down and the authors have disappeared with the money.
In this case, if they don't defend stuff that Palworld has copied and pasted, like the pokeball animation or some of the pokemon themselves, because Palworld has sold so many copies it can be used in the future to say "You didn't think this one was damaging, why can't I put Pikachu in Call of Duty?" and they practically lose the IP.
>b-but
Don't take it out on me, that's just how it works. I don't care what LegalEagle or whatever other jewtube grifter told you, that's how it works. Jewtube faggots have a financial incentive to keep you riled up about shit, don't do the boomer shit of going "I watch 4 different news channels so I can piece together the truth for myself" they all get money out of you getting mad and commenting/watching.
The people at Nintendo aren't retarded, they understand that hitting other games, no matter how egregious the plagiarism might be, is terrible terrible PR, obviously and just so you understand, 86% of Pokemon's revenue is off merch and anime, they live off of good will, the games don't mean shit to them which is why they let SV release like that.
They are hitting Palworld because they have no other choice if they want to keep their IP. If you really believe they're trigger-happy with this stuff, explain every other monster catching game that they've never hit.
Matter of fact, did everyone forget about the tera leaks? We know from those that their biggest fear was Yokai Watch, and they never did anything to them.
Whatever Pocketpair started out as, they've been bought out by SONY and are now being used as a cudgel to legally hit Nintendo with.
Have you not noticed the anti-nintendo jeet channels on youtube popping out of nowhere and uploading 5 videos a day, all scripted and edited the exact same way?
Clearly something inorganic is taking place.
